"Damn it, Why am i so bad at this?" Selen groaned as she laid back on her bed, For the past few hours she had been trying to figure out a gift to get that special someone and let's just say... She was having difficulties.
Ember jumped up to her bed and nuzzled his snout against her draconic-hand "Hey buddy" She chuckles before the smaller dragon lets out a small roar.
Selen sits up and sighs, She pets Ember as he jumps up into her lap while she tries again to think of ideas for a persent.
Earlier this week the NijiEN Members all decided to take part in a Secret Santa, Everyone worte their names on a piece of paper and put them in a hat before each person grabbed a piece one by one and who ever's name was on the paper you got was who you bought a present for.
And as it turns out, Selen just so happned to get her crushes name "Rosemi Lovelock"
"I don't know what to get her buddy... Anything plant related she could just make herself, plus i was hoping to find something that could bonus as a way to confess"
The smaller dragon pushed his head against her hand, making her laugh a bit before resumed petting him. "Gee thanks, That's gonna help" Selen said in a faux annoyed voice.
Then she had the idea to ask someone else for advice, but they all agreed to not reveal who's name they pulled until it was time to hand out the gifts. "Shit... Well, maybe i could still ask Elira" Selen thought to herself "Sure it's technicaly agansit the rules, But she's my sister! That doesn't count... At least that's what I'll tell myself."

Selen left Ember on the couch as she slipped her jacket on. "Okay bubby, Be good, You know to not touch!" He let out a small roar and atempted to do a little solute with his wing making Selen laugh.
Luckily Elira's place was only a short walk away from Selen's, though when she arrived she filed to notice her sisters car wasn't in the drive way.
After knocking on the door she heard a set of footsteps before it opened "Hey Eli can I-" Selen stopped herself when she realized it wasn't Elira she was talking too but Pomu.
"Hey Selen, Elira isn't here right now... She's out shopping for her Secret Santa"
"Shit..."
Pomu smirked "You're trying to find out who got your name aren't you?"
"What? No I-" Pomu cuts her off "Well you ain't getting it from this fairy!"
She tries to close the door but Selen stops it with her draconic-hand "POMU! That's not why I'm here!"
Selen sighs as the Fairy turns around "I'm having trouble coming up with a gift for the person I got... so I was gonna ask Elira for advice" She says in a tone unusually quiet for the drgaon.
"Oh, Well if that's the case how about I give you some advice!" Pomu pipes up only to receive a laugh in return.
"Listen, No offence Pomu but I want this gift to NOT set on fire, or explode or anything that fairy's like to make things do"
"I know how to do tame gifts!"
"Right... Like all the super tame gifts you've given Elira for things like her birthday's or anniversary's in the past" Selen replied as her voice returned to it's normal cocky tone.
Pomu huffs "That's different, She's my wife! I'm aloud to go over the top for her!!"
"Right... I'm just gonna go" Selen turns around to leave before Pomu grabs her shoulder. "Hey come on, I can help, Give me a chance!"
The dragon thinks it over and sighs "I better not regret this Pomu"

Pomu is sat on the couch while Selen pases back and forth "So... What ideas have you come up with?" Pomu asked as her eyes fallowed the dragon.
"Nothing, That's the problem"
"Well... Have you tried talking to Rosemi? She's great with gifts."
Just the mention of the Rose maidens name was enough to make Selen blush "N-No... I.. uh... Don't think she'll help"
Pomu is confused until she see's the faintest bit of pink on Selen's face as the dragon tries to hide it with her head wings.
"OOOOHHHH YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON ROSEMI!!"
The taller girl flinches at the fairy's sudden out burst "Wha.. What? No I... Don't" Selen mutters as if she's tring to convince herself of it.
"Oh come one bish, With how red your face is it's pretty damn ovious!"
Selen advoids all eye contect she can as she desperately tries to hide her blushing face.
"So going to ask her for advice would make you too flustered" Pomu laughs, After its not every day she gets to see Selen flustered, Elira yes but flustered Selen was rare.
"Well... that might not be the only reason"
The fairy tilted her head slightly in confusion as her mind contected the dots "Wait... Did you get Rosemi as your Secret Santa?"
Selen only responded with a small nod, Still too flustered to face the fairy "Awww, out of everyone you got the person you have a crush on?! That's like, fanfic level cheesey!"
The dragon groaned as she faned out her head wings, covering her face even more, This flustered feeling wasn't something she was used to and she hated it.
"Wait, I have an idea! What if you do go ask Rosemi for advice? Never tell her about you getting her name, or your crush but ask something like 'If it was you what would you like to get?' That way you will have her literally telling you what gift she wants!"
Selen's eyes opened wide as she thought about Pomu's plan "That... Could work actually" Suddenly she felt a serge of confidince flow through her "Yeah... Yeah, I'm gonna try it!"
She ran to the door, hastly thanking the fairy as she left "Thanks Pomu!!" Said fairy flew to the door and yelled back "No problem, Go get your rose!!"

As she stepped up to the rose maiden's door she felt her heart pounding fast enough it was threatening to jump out of her chest.
"You can do this Selen... Just talk like normal, all your doing is asking a question... just indirectly asking the girl you love what christmas gift she wants... God, how did I let Pomu talk me into this?" She metaly told herself.
After taking awhile to psych herself up before knocking on the door "I can do this, I can do this, I can do this" She repeats in her head over and over until the door opens.
"Selen? What are you doing here?" The rose maiden said after opening the door.
The dragon feels her face warm up at the meer sight of Rosemi, Her eyes look the other girl up and down, admiring her long pink dress covered a vines with roses sprouting from them, the addition of black tights and fluffy scarf around her neck made any words slip from Selen's mind.
"Selen? Hey... Are you okay?" Rosemi asks, now consired about the prolonged silince from her friend.
The tall girl shakes her head "H... Huh? Oh hey Rosemi" She says while trying to have her usual cocky tone but Rosemi could easily tell there was something going on.
"Selen your worrying me... Is everything okay?"
"Y... Yeah totally it's just, I need your help coming up with a present for my secret santa. You know I'm not good at this kinda stuff"
The Rose Maiden was still consered but at least she had some kind of answer "Oh yeah I can help with that, Come on in!"
She says while holding the door open for Selen to head inside.
The Dragon acespts the invite while still trying to calm her nerves, trying and failing
"Take a seat, I'll get you some tea!" Rosemi said cipperly as she closed the front door, Selen sighed and put a hand on her chest, feeling her heart pounding.
After a few moments she comes back and hands Selen a cup. "Here ya go!"
"Thanks" Selen says as she took the cup, hoping that the smaller girl didn't notice her ever gorwing blush.
The rose madien sits on the couch next to the half dragon, Making the ladder's face heat up more.
"So, have you thought of any ideas for the gift?"
"Well uhh... No"
"Really? You haven't come up with any ideas at all?"
Selen scratched the back of her neck nervously "Nah... I told you I'm not good at this"
"How about something cute and Sweet?"
"I mean, I wanted to do something more... personal, to show that I like... actually care, Ya know?"
"Well you really good at cooking, how about a bento box or something? Like something only you could get them"
"Something only I could get them... that's actualy a good idea"
Rosemi smiled and and patted Selen's thigh making her heart skip a beat.
The dragons heart felt like it would fly out of her chest, Feeling the rose maidens hand on her thigh made her flush red.
She sprung up from her seat, trying to play it off "Welp, I think i got the perfect idea, I'ma go head home and start working on it kay? Thanks Rosemi!!" She said so fast it almost all came out as one word before she ran out the door, not even giving rosemi the chance to reply.

The day of the party finally arived and Selen took a deep breath before heading into Elira's house.
She was greeted by everyone and laughed along with what ever joke and playful insults were being thrown around.
Eventraly she made her way to the kitchen and walked in on Elira preparing a appatizer platter, The solar sky dragon soon looked up to see her sister. "Selen! You finaly made it!!" Elira said chipperly as she hugged her younger sister.
"Hey Eli, Merry Christmas!" Selen responded as she hugged back. "So... How'd the gift you told me about go?"
The younger sister blushed a bit before sighing "It turned out great... I just hope she likes it"
"She will, trust me Selen, Your big sister is a master at romance!"
The Lunar dragon smirked "Oh really? Then I guess you've proposed to Pomu?" She teased, the deep blush her sister gave bringing back Selen's usual booming laugheter.
"Not yet... I'm working on that"
"And you call me hopeless"
Both sisters laugh before Selen gives Elira a hand with bringing out snacks for everyone.
Before the gift giving, all the members of NijiEN spend time playing games, chatting and casualy hanging out, It's rare for all of them to get the chance to meet up in person after all.
After eating dinner it was time to give out the gifts, One by one everybody anouced who they got and handed out the peresnts and Eventualy it came to Selen's turn.
She took a deep breath before turning to Rosemi "Okay so... I had a lot of ideas but, after awhile I thought this was best" She said while trying to ignore how warm her face was as she handed the rose maiden a bento box.
Rosemi opened the box and was suprised to find, another, smaller box inside, wrapped very neatly with pink bow and everything.
She looked up at the half dragon confused "Open it" Selen said was a slight smirk creeping onto her face, Everyone else watched, also curious as to what Selen had planned.
When she finished unwrapping the box Rosemi opened it to find a beautiful silver necklace with many rose pink jewels along the whole thing, earing many "oohs" and "ahhs"
"Selen... are these?"
"Sky Emeralds? Yeah, the only form at high alhatudes and you need a really strong pickaex, Or dragon claw to even dig them out of the montians but they're pretty and match you, plus... It's something only I could get you"
Rosemi looked at the necklace with awe "Selen... This is... This" She was at a loss for words.
"I know it's kinda out there but I thought-" Selen was cut off when Rosemi jumped forward and hugged her "I LOVE IT SELEN!!" She yelled making the half-dragon chuckle "Y.. Yeah?"
"Hey Rosemi, There something else in the box" Elira pointed out, partly because she actualy noticed it and partly because she saw how red her sister was getting and wanted to give her a chance to get her head stright.
The rose maiden looked down and saw a small note in the bento box under were the smaller box was, She unfolded it and read it out loud.
Rosemi, You are one of the best people I've ever met and I'm honored that I get to call you a friend.
That being said, theres something I've wanted to ask you for a long time but I could never work up the courage to actually say it.
So I'll ask you like this... Rosemi, Would you like to go on a date with me?
She looked up at Selen, who's face was now bright red as her head wings made a desprate attempt to hide her face, but this time Rosemi's face was also red.
"S... Selen? You really wanna date me?" Rosemi asked, almost dumbfounded by the idea of her feeling this way.
"Well... Yeah, I mean if you don't want to it's okay I just thought since your so cute and beautiful and funny I've kinda wanted to for a awhile..."
"I just... didn't expect this" Rosemi said as she felt her heart racing, what defintly didn't help the nervousness of both parties was the crowd of their friends around,
Selen closed her eyes, Fearing the worst. 'I knew it... this was stupid' she thought to herself she felt someone hug her tightly, her eyes shot open and she saw Rosemi looking up at her.
"I'd Love to Selen"
The Half-Dragon blinked many times, Almost not beleaving it "R.. Really? Your intersed in going out... with ME of all people?" she asked while sub consisly wrapping her arms around her roses waist.
"Yes really... Turth be told, I've liked you for a longtime too, I've just been to nervous to say anything"
Selen was in shock, Here was her friend, her crush for so long confessing to feeling the same way... there was only one thing she could think of doing right now.
She leaned in and kissed Rosemi on the lips, Catching the rose maiden off gaurd a bit before she started kissing back, promping many "Oohh"s from their friends, but they there both too lost in their love for the other to care about the crowd.
