I don't typically invest so much effort on backgrounds and atmospheric elements. However, for this piece, I really wanted to show the grandeur and opulence of the palace. I also really enjoyed re imagining this scene based on the narrow comic panel. And, yes, I used Tom Sturridge as the character design.
