Chapter 1: Kyungsoo / Only you are allowed for me in this moment (Fall)

Chapter Text

Kyungsoo jolted awake with a muffled sob.

He squinted his eyes at the room as he reached the night stand to turn on the soft night light and picked up his phone. 3.45 a.m. He sighed and flopped back into the pillows, careful not to disturb the sleeping figure of his boyfriend. He threw a hand over his eyes and willed himself to sleep. The echoes of his earlier dream however, haunted him.

For as long as he could remember he had been having dreams that made him wake up gasping for air. It wasn’t the same dream, but he heard the same voice, the lovely caress of tones of unknown tunes that sounded as if he knew them. He could feel the fingers that traced along his skin accompanying the tune. He could see the creamy skin of the warm hands, ridged with veins and the fingertips calloused with paper cuts and dotted with ink. He tried so hard to remember a face from his dreams to no avail.

He sighed again and turned towards his boyfriend who slept facing him, a hand tucked under his head and the other lying flat on the bed between them. He watched the light dance on the pale skin and tried not to feel guilty about dreaming of another man, no matter how imaginary, while in bed with his boyfriend. His eyelashes fluttered as if he could feel Kyungsoo watching him and he cracked his eyes open.

“Bad dream, baby?”

Kyungsoo shrugged a shoulder and scooted closer so the other man could wrap his arm around his waist.

“I don’t know. Can’t remember much.” He mumbled into his boyfriend’s nose and felt the man’s cheeks bunch in a smile, his signature gummy smile that made an appearance when he thought Kyungsoo was adorable.

“It’s ok. Let’s sleep it off.” he replied, eyes already closing and easily slipping back to sleep.

Kyungsoo let the peace of the predawn darkness lull him back to his own fitful sleep.
