Christmas had already arrived and with it came the snow that brought joy to everyone in Spoonerville. Max watched the snowfall from the window of his house while drinking a hot chocolate drink that his father just made — knocking over a few pans in the process. The black coat, which was a little too big for Max's size, made him warmer and more comfortable, the cap and scarf that the little dog wore also helped him maintain a pleasant temperature for his body — although the cap and scarf were made by your father with poorly finished stitches and other defects.
The phone at home soon started ringing, which made Max get up from the old brown eucalyptus chair and answer the phone with his mug in his hand. Max picked up the corded telephone attached to the wall next to the window and put the intercom to his ear to listen better, the blizzard outside seemed very calm and also very cold.
"Max? Is that you?" — The voice echoed from the old telephone at Max's house, a cute and friendly voice that Max immediately knew who was speaking.
"PJ! How are you?" — Max asks with a small, happy smile on his face. He hoped that PJ could get him out of the house and possibly out of the boredom that Max is going through right now, it's kind of upsetting for little Goofy to have to put up with his father talking about stories from his past that are possibly made up.
"I'm fine friend! I just wanted to know if you wanted to come here in my backyard, you know? I invited Bobby too to spend some time with us. My parents are on a trip with Pistol, something to enjoy Christmas while Pistol is a child or something my mother said." — PJ gives a quick explanation and Max could swear that PJ rolled his eyes at the part where he talked about Pistol, he could probably be jealous or sad for being excluded like that by his family, but hey... It's Christmas! And Max doesn't have to worry about anything other than being happy.
"I'm already going there! See you later!" — Max ends the call by snapping the intercom onto the worn phone hook. Max's winter vacation only got better from now on, he would no longer be bored because he had his two best friends by his side.
He adjusted his poorly knitted scarf and cap made by his father. He didn't want to use it, but he had to so as not to make his old man sad — especially because today is the day everyone should be happy and have fun. Walking to the room where the main door was, he was stopped from opening the old wooden door by his father.
"Max! I was looking at some pictures of you when you were a kid! A-Ahyuck!" — Goofy comments, giving that characteristic and clumsy hiccup that every Goofy family has. In Goofy's hands was an album with collections of photos from when Max was younger, this made Max feel a little embarrassed and even thank God that his friends weren't here to see these photos.
"Okay dad... I'm going to PJ's house now, you can call Silvia or Donald and Mickey now, if you want. Merry Christmas!" — Max speaks quickly as he says goodbye to his father and finally leaves his house. His luck is that his father didn't insist on staying with him like he always did every Christmas, something Max couldn't stand.
Arriving at PJ's house, Max opened the door slowly and didn't even bother to knock on the door, soon after Max closed the door gently, which made a small loud creak and a silent noise when it was locked. Max walked to PJ's backyard area, the dog already knew his friend's entire house and knew all the places he had already explored.
"MAX MY FRIEND!" — Bobby shouted after Max, putting an arm behind Max's neck in a friendly way, Bobby's scream and touch made Max shiver with fright and almost let out a scream.
"Heh... Hi Bobby..." — Max says while Bobby laughed a little at the startled reaction that Max had a few minutes ago, which made Max look at his canine friend with a sullen face. "That wasn't funny Bobby." — Max defends himself while rolling his eyes but not moving away from his second friend.
"No fun for you!" — Bobby says as he stopped laughing and removed his arm from Max's neck. "You get scared very easily Maximus." — Bobby speaks with a proud voice and also with that strange accent that often made people get the wrong idea about him.
"My name isn't even Maximus, you idiot!" — Max comments, giving Bobby a little push on the shoulder and giving a little laugh.
Max looked around the yard looking for PJ, but it seemed like he wasn't anywhere in the yard and Bobby had a can of cheese spray in his hand. Max has never met any dog that likes cheese more than Bobby, he's only met Minnie and Mickey, but they're mice.
"Hi guys! I was making a—" — Max and Bobby let out a small scream of fright and momentarily jumped close to each other. Looking at the guy who scared them, Max realized that it's PJ holding a tray of gingerbread cookies, some now on the floor because of the scare they got.
"Iiih... Sorry my bro, I ruined your eating business." — Bobby apologizes while picking up the gingerbread cookies that had fallen in the snow and started eating them, this made Max and PJ make a disgusted face at this scene.
"It's good that your parents aren't at home PJ! We can do whatever we want at your house without getting kicked out!" — Max says, giving a virtuous smile and leaning on his best feline friend. Max's eyes had that sparkle that PJ knew very well could be related to crazy ideas that could land him in severe punishment when his parents arrive from their trip with Pistol.
"Look, don't come with your crazy ideas at me Max, you know very well what will happen to me at the end of this." — PJ warns sternly while crossing his arms and looking at Max with a serious face.
"Ah, come on PJ... We have to enjoy Christmas our way! Without the old people on our backs, we can do whatever we want to do!" — Max tries to convince PJ with a happy smile on his face. He already had a perfect plan in his mind, PJ wouldn't agree to a big party with people they don't know, so Max thought about just doing something just to spend Christmas with his best friends.
"Boy, you're speaking my language now!" — Bobby says, finishing eating those gingerbread cookies that had fallen earlier in the snow in the backyard and then leaning on PJ's shoulder as well. "My bro JP, are you really going to miss this opportunity just because you're afraid of punishment!? Come on my man, it's going to be the most fun Christmas in the entire world that we're going to experience now!" — Bobby helps Max convince PJ, but Max knew that Bobby probably had other ideas in mind or had no ideas at all and just wanted to have fun.
"It's PJ." — PJ corrects Bobby's mispronunciation by rolling his eyes. He gave a small sigh as he listened to Bobby's talk, knowing that if he didn't agree, he wouldn't stop talking in his ear, a gift that Bobby managed to convince people is with his banal annoyances. "Okay! Just stop talking in my ear!"
"Always works on the beasts." — Bobby comments with a proud smile while splashing the cheese contained in the spray into his mouth. This cheese inside this spray had a strange taste... Wait, cheese is supposed to burn that much?
Bobby soon dipped his face into a frozen jar outside that had very cold water and his two friends were laughing about it.
"Always works on the beasts." — PJ speaks ironically and in a fun way while imitating Bobby's accent. PJ himself had put pepper mixed with cheese in the spray because he knew how funny it would be to see Bobby's desperation to find some water to cool his throat.
"It won't make your head freeze, will it Bobby?" — Max crosses his arms and looks at Bobby with an amused look, he knew that this Christmas would be awesome if he was with his friends.
The cold glass jar was empty of water now as Bobby managed to drink all the water somehow, but when he was about to take his head out of the jar... Bobby's head just got stuck in the jar! PJ was scared by that and tried to help Bobby out of that situation, while Max laughed at Bobby's situation.
"Laugh, you crazy person, one day you'll get ripped off too!" — Bobby speaks in a funny voice because he has his head in the jar. He tried to get his head out of the glass jar anyway, until PJ accidentally broke the glass jar.
"Oh my holy Christ, this is the best Christmas I've ever had..." — Max says while trying to stop his fits of laughter with those hiccups that only the Goofy family has.
This is the best Christmas that Max was spending now with his friends, no one was there to bother them or judge them from doing anything, it's just them at PJ's parents' house having fun and laughing like idiots.
