Chapter Text

the sun burned as it rose in the sky.every creature in the multiverse stirred and awakened. they all started to march towards their way towards pride rock. today was a special day. for today a prince was born and today was his ceremony.the many creatures began to venture towards their destination. Rathalos and noiverns flew through the air and unicorns and yoshi's ran through the grass. 

every creature was there as king Shiro stood on top of pride rock. a mandibuzz flew near pride rock and escargoon jumped off the pokemon and landed infront of Shiro. Escargoon smiled and bowed towards his king. Shiro looked down at the snail and returned the smile with one of his own.the creatures made a clear path for a yellow electroid named Teslo with a his staff in wrapped around his tail.he walked past the animals and walked towards the top of pride rock.

when he got their he smiled at king and the two of them embraced in a hug. they seperated and then walked towards shiro's wife kim who was holding their son.they approached her and Shiro Affectionately nuzzled her cheek. then both of them and Telso looked at the young prince. the young prince was named Chris. Chris turned his head and looked up at his parents and Teslo who smiled at him.

Telso held his staff above Chris's head and gently shaked it above his head. Chris then playfully batted at the staff which made Teslo smiled. Teslo then pulled the staff back and grabbed one of the fruits hanging on the staff. he broke the fruit in half and grabbed the liquid contents from the inside and putted it on his fingers. then gently used his finger to spread it across Chris's forehead, he then grabbed a handful of sand and sprinkled it on top of the mark, which made Chris sneezed. which caused Shiro and Kim to slightly laugh.

Telso then picked up Chris gently and held him in his hands.he then walked towards the front of pride rock with a prince in his hands, shiro and kim followed him. the creatures below looked up at the front of priderock as teslo finally appeared at the front. he then raised the young prince for all the creatures to see.

the creatures below began to cheer and holler.then the sun beamed down at Chris and the creatures started to bow. they bowed to their future king and his parents looked on with pride.

Chapter Text

a rattata crawled out of a small hole,washing itself. that's when a hand grabbed the rattata and raised it from the ground.that hand belonged to Tom,the kings brother.Tom looked at the small creature."life's not fair is it."He said as he played with the rattata."you see, i shall never be king." Tom grabbed the rattata and grinned."and you shall never see the light of another day." Tom said as he was about the eat the rat.until a voice spoke behind him.

"didn't your mother ever tell you not to play with your food." Escargoon said."what do you want?" Tom said annoyed by the snail."I'm here to annouce that king Shiro is on his way.so you better have a good excuse for missing the ceremony this morning." as Escargoon finished his sentence the rattata already escaped Tom's grasp."oh look Escargoon you made me lose my lunch." Tom said as he looked at his escaped lunch."Hah! you'll lose more then that when the king gets through with you, he's as mad as a hippowdon with a hernia." Escargoon boasted.

" oh i quiver with fear." Tom said as he grew a grin and slowly approached Escargoon." now Tom don't look at me that way." Escargoon tried to flee from the eyeless man but got him pinned down.That's when a voice boomed behing Tom."Tom!" Tom looked behind him and saw Shiro standing there."Drop him." Shiro commanded."Impecible timing your majesty." Escargoon said. Tom released Escargoon and approached his brother with a smirk."Well if it isn't my big brother who came here to mingle with the commoners." he said. "Kim and i didn't see you at the presentation of Chris." Shiro said sternly."that was today oh, i feel simply awful." Tom said as he raked his nails againest a wall. the scraping sound made Escargoon cover his ears." must have slipped my mind." Tom said

Escargoon approached Tom with a angry expression." Well as slippery as your mind is, as the king's brother you should have been first in line." Tom snapped his jaws at the snail who ran and hid behind Shiro." oh i was first in line, until the little hairball was born." Tom said spitefully."That hairball is my son and your future king." Shiro said to Tom. " oh, i should pratice my curtsy." Tom said as he turned away from Shiro." Don't turn your back on me Tom." Shiro said with a hint of anger in his voice.

"oh no, Shiro.Perhaps you shouldn't turn your back on me." Tom said.Angered, Shiro quickly appeared infront of his brother and faced him." Is that a challenge." Shiro said."Temper,Temper, i wouldn't dream of challenging you." Tom said calmly." Pity.why not?" Escargoon asked."well, as far as brains go i got my share.but when it comes to brute strength. I"m afaird i'm at the shallow end of the gene pool." Tom said as he walked away from his brother.

Escargoon sighed."there's one in every family sire, two in mine.and they always seem to ruin special occasions." Escargoon said."what am i going to do with him." Shiro said more calmly."he would make a very handsome throne rug." Escargoon said Jokingly. this made Shiro laugh abit."Escargoon." Shiro said." and just think, whenever he gets dirty you can take him out and beat him." Escargoon added. Shiro chuckled as they headed to pride rock.

When Night came, it began to rain.Teslo was painting on the wall of his tree,he then chuckled to himself."Chris." he said as he finished a picture of Chris and chuckled again.

Chapter Text

the sun rose onto priderock,and a young chris stepped out of his home and saw the view. he smiled knowing today will be the day his father will show him the kingdom. the young prince soon ran back inside."Dad! Dad! come on dad we gotta go." Chris said going to fetch and wake up his father. he swiftly avoided waking the rest of the pride and reached his father.

"Dad." Chris said close to his father." your son is awake." Kim said sleepily."he's your son till sunrise." Shiro responded.Chris pulled on his father, but was flung over.he then headbutted his father and gave a angry scowl."You promised." Chris said. Shiro looked at his son  and then slowly got up."Okay,okay, I'm up." Shiro said."yeah." chris said happily. Shiro then began to walk towards the top of priderock. Chris gave Kim a hug, his mother hugged him back. and smiled as Chris followed his Father to the top of priderock. Shiro and Chris stood at priderock and looked at the horizon.

"look Chris, everything the light touches is our kingdom." Shiro spoke."Wow." Chris said amazed." a king's time as ruler,rises and falls like the sun.one day chris the sun will set on my time here.and will rise with you as the new king." Shiro said to his son."and this will all be mine." Chris asked." everything the light touches." Chris whispered to himself.then he saw a shadowy land."What about that shadowy place ?" Chris asked his father."that's beyond our borders.you must never go there Chris." Shiro said to his son." but i thought a king could do whatever he wants." Chris said confused.Shiro smiled." oh there's more to being king,then getting your way all the time." he said."there's more Chris said astonished.Shiro let out a chuckle.

Shiro and Chris walked through the grassland as the antolope leaped."Everything you see, exist together in a delict balance, as king you need to understand that balance and respect all the creatures from the crawling durant to the leaping antelope." Shiro explained."But dad don't we eat the antelope." Chris said confused."yes, Chris but let me explain. when we die our bodies become the grass,and the antelope eat the grass.and so we are all connected in the great circle of life." Shiro finished. then Escargoon appeared and greeted the king." good morning sire." Escargoon said."good morning Escargoon." Shiro replied."checking in with the morning report." Escargoon said."fire away." Shiro replied.

"well, the buzz from the bees is that the leopards are in abit of a spot." Escargoon started." Oh,really." Shiro replied. Chris saw a grasshopper and then tried to pounce on it."Shiro saw this." What are you doing son." Shiro asked. "pouncing." Chris replied."Let a old pro, show you how it's done." Shiro said as he lowered himself to the ground." I told the elephants to forget about it, but they can't-" Escargoon continued."Escargoon would you turn around." Shiro asked the snail.Escargoon then turned around and kept talking." Stay low to the ground." Shiro whispered to his son."Okay stay low to the ground." Chris repeated.Shiro quietly shushed his son. Escargoon got suspious and turned his head around." What's going on ?" He asked.

" pouncing lesson." Shiro replied."Oh very good, pouncing." the realization then hit Escargoon and around with panic in his voice." Pouncing! oh no sire, you can't be serious." Shiro gestured Escargoon to turn back,Escargoon did so, much to his dismay."Try not to make a sound." Shiro said to his son." what are you telling him Shiro ?" Escargoon said to his king. but Shiro did not reply."Shiro? Chris?" that's when Chris tackled Escargoon to the ground.Shiro laughed as Chris got off Escargoon and walked proudly to his father.

That's when a drilbur came out of the ground and spoke to Escargoon." Sir!" the drilbur said.Escargoon got up and looked at the drilbur."Yes?" he replied." Sir news from the underground." The Drilbur then began to speak to Escargoon." Now then-" Shiro was about to speak to his son but was interrupted by a panicked Escargoon." SIRE! Desperados! in the pridelands." Shiro then became serious and started to run towards the plains." Escargoon, take Chris home." Shiro said in a serious tone." Aw dad, can't i come with you." Chris said." No son." Shiro said and then left to deal with the desperados."

"I never get to go anywhere." Chris said with alittle anger in his voice.Escargoon beamed." Oh young master.one day you will be king. then you can chase those slobbery,mangy, poachers from dusk til dawn." Escargoon said cheerfully as he and Chris went home

Tom walked into his den and kicked away a few bones." hey uncle Tom guess what ?" Chris said approaching his uncle. Tom groaned," i despise guessing games." Tom said coldly." I'm going to be king of priderock." Chris said proudly."oh goody." Tom said sarcastically,"my dad showed me the whole kingdom and I'm going to rule it all."Chris chuckled.

"yes,well sorry for not jumping for joy bad back." Tom said as he layed down."hey uncle Tom,when I'm king what will that make you?" Chris said to his uncle." A monkey's uncle." Tom said sarcastically again which made Chris laugh."Your so weird." Chris said cheerfully. Tom then turned to face his nephew and smiled."You have no idea." he said.

" so your father,showed you the whole kingdom did he." Tom said as he sat up."Everything." Chris said." he didn't show you what's beyond that rise on the northen boarder." Tom continued, Chris smile fell and he looked at the floor."well no, he said i can't go there." Chris said sadly." And he's absolutely right.it's far too dangerous only the bravest humans go there." Tom said."well I'm brave whats out-" Chris was cut off by Tom." I'm sorry Chris I just can't tell you." Tom said." why not." chris questioned."Chris,Chris I'm only looking after my favorite nephew." Tom said as he patted Chris's head.

"That's because I'm your only nephew." Chris said." all the more reason i should be protective." Tom said." a elephant graveyard is no place for a young prince.oops!" Tom covered his mouth but Chris had heard enough." A elephant what! wow." Chris said amazed." oh, dear i said too much." Tom said dramatically."Well i suppose you would have found out sooner or later. you being so clever and all that.just do me one favor promise me you will never go to that dreadful place." Tom said bringing his nephew closer to him." i promise." Chris said." theres a good lad, now run along and have fun, and remember it's our little secret." Tom said.Chris nodded and left Tom's den. not noticing Tom's sly smile

Chris ran down the rock to get his best friend Abby. he found the white haired girl being brushed by her mother."hey abby." chris greeted her."hey chris." Abby said back." Come on I just heard about this great place." Chris whispered to her." Chris I'm kinda being brushed right now."Abby said back.

"and it's time for yours." Kim said as she grabbed Chris and began brushing his hair." MOM! mom! your gonna mess up my hair." Chris said a little annoyed while Kim smiled and released her son." Okay, okay, it's brushed can we go now." Chris said."So where are we going, it better not be dumb." Abby said." No it's really cool." Chris whispered to Abby." and where is this really cool place." Kim said.

Chris tensed up until he smiled." around the watering hole."Chris said."The watering hole? what's so great about the watering hole." Abby said." I'll show you when we get there." Chris whispered to Abby. Abby then realized what he meant and smiled." Mom, can i go with Chris." Abby asked her mother." What do you think kim." abby's mother asked Kim."Well.." Kim thought for a moment."Please" both abby and Chris pleaded. " It's alright with me." Kim said. Abby and Chris cheered and were about to head out." as long as Escargoon comes with." Kim added. Abby and chris then groaned." not Escargoon" chris groaned

" Step lively. the sooner we can get to the watering hole, the sooner we can." Escargoon was taking the lead as Chris and Abby walked behind him. "So where are we really going." Abby whispered to Chris." a elephant graveyard." Chris replied. "WOW!" Abby was immediately shushed by Chris when he nudged his head Towards Escargoon's direction. " right. so how are we going to ditch the Snail." Abby said, Chris and Abby began to whispered amongst themselves which caught Escargoon's attention. he smiled. "Oh just look at you two, little seeds of romance blossoming in the savannah. your parents will be thrilled." Escargoon beamed with delight." what with you being betrothed  and all." Chris and Abby were confused.

" be what." Chris said confused. "Betrothed. intended.Affianced." Chris and Abby looked at each other with even more confusion. "One day you two are going to be married."Escargoon finally explained. Chris and Abby immediately made faces of disgust. "I can't marry her! she's my friend." Chris stated. "Yeah. and it would be super weird." Abby Added. " well sorry, to bust your bubble, but you two turtle doves have no choice. it's a tradition going back generations." Escargoon explained. "Well when I'm king, that will be the first thing to go." Chris smiled. " not so long as I'm around." Escargoon retorted. "Well in that case your fired." Escargoon smiled, " Nice try. but only the real king can do that." Escargoon said booping Chris on the nose. "Well. he's the future king." Abby replied and Chris regained his smiled. " yeah so you gotta do what i tell you." Chris said smugly. Escargoon then became irritated. " Not yet i don't! and with a attitude like that your shaping up to be a pretty pathetic king indeed." Chris's smile grew "not the way i see it"

Chris: I'm gonna be a mighty king, so enemies beware!

Escargoon: Well, I've Never  seen a king or beast with quite so little Hair.

Chris: I'm gonna be the main event, like no king was before.I'm brushing up on looking down, I'm working on my ROAR!

Escargoon: Thus far a rather... uninspiring thing.

Chris: oh i just can't wait to be king.

Escargoon: You've got a long way to go young master, if you think..

Chris: No one say do this.

Escargoon: Now when i said that-

Abby: No one said be there

Escargoon: What i meant was...

Chris: No one said stop that.

Escargoon: look,what you don't realize

Chris and Abby: No one saying see here.

Escargoon: Now See here!

Chris: free to run around all day.

Escargoon: Now that's definitely out.

Chris: free to do it all my way.

Escargoon: I think it's time that you and I arranged a heart to heart.

Chris: King's don't need advice from little Snails for a start.

Escargoon: If this is where the monarchy is headed, count me out! Out of service, out of Africa - I wouldn't hang about... aagh! this child is getting wildly out of wing!

Chris:Oh, I just can't wait to be king! Everybody look left.Everybody look right.Everywhere you look I'm standing in the spotlight!

Escargoon: NOT YET!

Creatures: Let every creature go for broke and sing.Let's hear it in the herd and on the wing.It's gonna be King Chris's finest fling.

Chris and creatures: Oh, I just can't wait to be king!Oh, I just can't wait to be king!Oh I just can't wait... to be king!

WHAM!

Escargoon was trapped under a ryhorn's rear. " I beg your pardon madam, but... GET OFF. Chris? Abby?

Chapter Text

Abby and Chris chuckled. "Alright, it worked." Chris said gleefully. "We lost him." Abby added. "I am a genius." Chris said smugly. "Hey genius it was my idea." Abby retorted.

"Yeah, but i pulled it off."

"With me."

"Oh yeah?"

Chris then tackled Abby, but Abby managed to pin him down. "Pinned ya." Abby giggled. "hey! Let me up." Abby got off of Chris. But the moment her back was turned Chris tackled her again. This time they were both sent tumbling down a hill. they landed and Chris was pinned by Abby Again. "Pinned ya again."

A gush of steam startled both Abby and Chris and they both realized where they were. they were in the elephant Graveyard. they walked amongst the giant bones that littered the place. "This is it. we made it." Chris said amazed. Chris and Abby peaked over a tusk and saw the endless amount of bones infront of them. "Woah." They both said amazed. "It's really creepy." Abby said. "yeah isn't it great." Chris said in a gleeful tone. "we could be in big trouble." Abby snickered. " I know."

Chris then walked up to the giant elephant skull infront of them. " I wonder if it's brains are still in there." "There's only one way to find out. come on let's check it out."

"HALT!"

Escargoon suddenly appeared infront of the duo, blocking their path." the only checking out you will do is to check out of here." Escargoon began to usher the two away. "Aw man." Chris said disappointed. "We are way beyond the boundaries of the pridelands. "Escargoon's voice was full of fear. "Look's like slimey tail is scared." Chris said mockingly. "It's mister slimey tail to you spikey. and right now we are all in very real danger." 

"Danger. HA! I look on the wild side, I laugh in the face of danger. hahaha!" but after Chris laughed, three sinister laughs came from behind him. Chris got away from the skull, that's when three figures emerged from it. 

one was  cyan pegasus with a multicolored mane and tail. the other one was a statue with a vest. and last was a orange reptile. "Well,well,well what do we have here Karl." the pegasus said to the statue.
" Hm, I don't know Rainbow dash. what do you think orange." The statue said to the reptile who just laughed in response. "yeah. that's what i was thinking, a trio of trespassers." Karl snarled out. "and quite by accident let me assure you. a simple navigational error." Escargoon said backing away, But he was pulled back by the tail by Rainbow Dash. "woah,woah,woah, wait. I know you, your Shiro's little stooge." Rainbow Dash grinned wide. " I madam am the king's major domo." Escargoon retorted. "And that would make you." Karl looked at Chris. "The Future King." Chris said firmly. "Do you know what we do to kings who step outside of their kingdom." Rainbow dash said approached the young prince.'

"Puh, you can't do anything to me." Chris said with a brave face. "Uh technically they can. we are on their land." Escargoon interjected. "But Escargoon you said their nothing but slobbery,mangy, stupid poachers." Chris said to the snail.

" Ix-nay on the Upid-stay."

"WHO YOU CALLING UPID-STAY!"

"My,my,my look at the sun, it's time to go." Escargoon,Abby and Chris tried to leave but where blocked by Rainbow Dash."What's the hurry? we love for you to stick around for lunch." The Cyan Pegasus sneered. "Yeah we could have whatever's lion around." Karl joked making Rainbow dash and Orange laugh. "Wait I got one, Make mine a cub sandwich, what you think." Rainbow dash laughed at her own joke. Orange then appeared infront of her motioning something with his hands. "What Orange?" Rainbow Dash said confused. Karl then noticed something. "Hey did we order this dinner to go."

"No. why?

"Cause there it goes!" Karl pointed to the now escaping trio. 

Chris and Abby ran with Escargoon behind them. but he was soon snatched from the group. Chris and Abby stopped to catch their breath. " Did we lose them." Abby asked. " I think so... Where is Escargoon?"

" and the little major domo snail hippity hopped all the way to the buggy boiler." Karl said placing Escargoon into the geyser. "Oh no! not the Buggy Boiler." Escargoon was then sent flying as Rainbow Dash,Karl and Orange laughed. "Hey why didn't you pick on someone your own size." Chris said behind them. "Like you." Raimbow dash said with a wicked smirk. "oops."

" the three Desperados then began to chase the two. Chris and Abby ran. they then began to climb a mountain of bones. "Chris!" Chris looked behind him and saw that Abby slipped while Rainbow Dash catching up to her. Chris helped Abby up and Slashed Rainbow Dash's cheek Causing her to growl. 

Abby and Chris then slide down the moutain of bones and they continued running until they were at a dead end. they turned around and saw Rainbow Dash,Karl, and Orange approaching them. "Here,human,human,human." Karl said with a sinister smile. Chris then let out a small roar which made the trio laugh. "That's was it do it again." Rainbow dash smiled. Chris tried again. but this time it was a powerful roar. 

This shocked the trio. and then Shiro appeared and began to fight them. Escargoon reappeared shielding Abby and Chris. Shiro then pinned down the three desperados to the ground.

"Ow, uncle!Uncle!"

"Silence!"

"Look we are really Sorry."

"If you ever come near my son again." Shiro growled out. "oh this is your son. I didn't know that, did you?" Rainbow Dash looked at Karl. "No i didn't know, did you?" Karl said back to Rainbow Dash. "NO, of course not." Rainbow dash replied.

"Orange?"

Orange nodded his head. Shiro let out a roar."Toodles." and with that the trio ran away. Escargoon looked at Shiro with a smile, but Shiro only glared causing the Snail who dropped his smile and flinched. "Dad I-" Chris started but was soon interrupted. "you deliberately disobeyed me." Shiro said in a stern tone. "Dad. I'm sorry." Chris weakly said. "let's go home." Shiro commanded. Abby and Chris walked slowly behind Shiro." I thought you were brave." Abby said.

None of them noticed Tom looking down on them. with a glare on his face.

Chapter Text

Chris and Abby walked slowly behind Shiro, it was already dark when they left the elephant graveyard. Escargoon looked behind him and saw how sad the two were, he was sad as well. "Escargoon." Escargoon heard Shiro call for him and he quickly appeared infront of the king. " yes sire." His voice shaking. "Take Abby home. I got to teach my son a lesson." Shiro looked behind him and saw Chris crouch down trying to hide himself in the grass.

Escargoon made his way to the two kids. "Come Abby, Chris.." Escargoon turned to Chris and placed both of his hands on Chris's shoulder's, he sighed. "Good luck." And with that Escargoon and Abby left. "Chris!" Shiro called out to his Son who flinched. Chris approached his father, he then stepped in something. he looked down and saw that he was standing in one of Shiro's shoe prints. Chris was now even more nervous. he then sat next to his father. he looked up and Saw that Shiro still had his Scowl. "Chris i am very disappointed in you." Shiro finally spoke. " I know." Chris silently said. " you could have been killed. you deliberatley disobeyed me. And what's worse you Abby in danger." " I was just trying to be brave like you." Chris said shaking. Shiro saw this and relaxed a little. " I'm only brave when I have to be." Shiro calmly said. "Chris... being brave doesn't mean you go looking for danger." Chris then looked up at his Dad. "But your not scared of anything."

Shiro looked at his son and then sighed. " I was today." Hearing this shocked Chris. "You were?." "Yes.. i thought i might loose you." Shiro said staring at his son. "Oh.. I guess even King's get scared." Chris said with a smile, Shiro returned the smile with one of his own. "But you know what."

"What?"

" I think those desparados were even scarder." Chris whispered to his dad. Shiro chuckled. "Cause no one messes with your dad. come here you." Shiro then took Chris in a embrace and ruffled his hair. Chris Escaped his grasp and Tackled his father. they ran in the field's until Chris pounced onto his father, he and his father landed together onto the soft grass. they chuckled. "Dad. we're pals right?" Chris asked his father. "right." Shiro replied. "and we'll always be together right?" Shiro was quiet for a moment. "Chris let me tell you something my father told me." Shiro then looked up at the night sky." Look at the stars. the great kings of the past look down on us from those stars. "Chris also looked up. "Really?"

"Yes." Shiro replied. "So when ever you feel alone, just remember that those kings will always be there to guide you... And so will I."

Chapter Text

"Man that lousy Shiro. I Won't be able to sit for a week." Karl said as he looked at his scar. Orange let a out a snort. "It's not funny Orange." Karl growled. Orange let out hysterical laughter. "HEY SHUT UP!" Orange began rolling on the ground still laughing. Karl growled and launched himself at Orange the two began to fight. Rainbow Dash groaned. "Will you two knock it off!" immediately The two stopped fighting with Orange biting his own leg. " Well he started it." Karl retorted.

" Look at you guys. no wonder we're dangling at the bottom of the food chain." Rainbow dash said joining the others. " Man i hate dangling." Karl replied. " You know if it weren't for those humans we'd be running the joint." Rainbow Dash added. "Man i hate humans." Karl growled out. " so pushy."

" And hairy."

"And stinky."

"And man are they.. UGLY."

Rainbow Dash and Karl laughed in unison until a deep voice startled them. " Oh surely not all Humans are that bad." Tom said as he appeared before them. Rainbow Dash let out a relieved sigh. "Oh Tom it's just you." "Yeah we thought it was somebody important." " Yeah you know like Shiro." Karl added. Tom looked at them with a unamused expression. " I see..." Tom spoke. " Now that's power." Karl said. " Tell me about it I just hear that name and i Shudder." Rainbow Dash said. "Shiro." as Karl said that Rainbow dash shuddered. "Do it again." Rainbow dash said.

"Shiro."

"Ooooh."

"Shiro"

"Oooooooooooh."

"Shiro, Shiro, Shiro." 

After a few more times Rainbow dash and Orange broke out in laughter. "It tingles." Rainbow dash said. Tom rubbed his temple with his fingers. "I'm surrounded by idiots." he said to himself. " not you Tom your one of us, your our pal." Karl said pointing to the eyeless man. "Charmed" Tom muttered. " Oh i like that he's not king but he's still so proper." Rainbow Dash said. "Hey did you bring us anything to eat Tom, hey, old buddy, old pal. did ya? did ya? did ya? " Karl quickly asked. " I don't think you really deserved this." Tom then reveal a zebra leg and the desperados below him mouths watered. " I practically gifted wrap those kids for you. and you couldn't even dispose of them." Tom dropped the leg and the desperados feasted. " Well you know they weren't exactly alone Tom." Rainbow dash said. " yeah what are we suppose to do. Kill Shiro." Karl said. Tom smiled wickedly. "precisely." Tom then jumped down and the green smoked enveloped him.

Tom: I know that your powers of retention

Tom: Are as wet as a bulldrome's backside

Tom: But as thick as you are... PAY ATTENTION!

Tom: My words are a matter of pride

Tom: It's clear from your from your vacant expressions

Tom: The lights are not all upstairs

Tom: But we're talking kings and successions

Tom: EVEN YOU COULD BE CAUGHT UNAWARES

Tom: So prepare for  a chance of a lifetime

Tom: for the death of the king!

Karl: why is he sick?

Tom: No fool we're going to kill him. and Chris too.

Rainbow Dash: Great idea who needs a king.

Rainbow Dash, Karl and Orange: No king! No King! la la la la la.

Tom: IDIOTS! THERE WILL BE A KING!

Karl: Hey But you said-

Tom: I will be king! stick with me and you'll never be hungry again.

Karl and Rainbow Dash: Yeah! alright! long live the king.


Desperados: Long live the king! Long live the King!

Desperados:  it's great that we'll soon be connected, with a king who'll be all-time adored

Tom: Of course, quid pro quo, your expected. to take certain duties on board

Tom: The future is littered with prizes

Tom: And though I'm main adressee

Tom: The point that i must emphasize is

Tom: YOU WON'T GET A SNIFF WITHOUT ME

Tom: So prepared for the coup of the century

Tom: Be prepared for the murkiest scam

Tom: meticulous planning, tenacity spanning, decades of  denial, is simply why I'll

Tom: be king undisputed, respected, saluted, and seen for the wonder I am

Tom: Yes my teeth and ambitions are bared, be prepared

Desperados: Yes our teeth and ambitions are bared

Tom And Desperados: Be prepared.

Tom and the Desperados laughed madly into the night as they began their plan.

Chapter Text

Chris follows Tom to a nearby rock in a gorge. "now wait here. your father has a marvelous surprise for you." Tom said. "ooh what is it?" Chris asked with a glint of excitement in his eyes. "If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise, now would it." Tom smiled. " if you tell me I'll still act surprised." Chris said. "Oh ho you are such a naughty boy." "C'mon uncle Tom." Chris pleaded. "No no no this is just for you and your daddy, you know a sort of father-son.... thing."

Tom then got up. "well I better go get him." Tom said about to leave. "I'll come with you." Chris was then stopped by Tom. "NO! uh huh... no just stay on this rock. you wouldn't want to end up in another mess like you did with those desperados." Tom said. " You know about that." Chris said. "Chris. everybody knows about that." Tom said looking down at his nephew. "really?"

"Oh yes... lucky daddy was there to save you ey." Tom grinned. "And you might want to work on that little roar of yours." Chris looked down. "Oh okay." Chris replied. Tom then began to walk away. "hey uncle Tom.. will i like the surprise." Chris asked. "Chris it's to die for." and then Chris left, leaving Chris alone in the gorge.

meanwhile above the gorge a huge herd of tauros were grazing, unaware of the danger amongst them. Karl's stomach growled. "Shut up." Rainbow dash growled. " I can't help it, I'm so hungry. i gotta have a tauros." Karl whined. "Stay put." Dash warned. " can't i pick off one of the little sick ones." "No we wait from the signal from Tom." Rainbow dash then saw Tom emerge from a high rock. "There he is let's go."

"Little roar. puh." Chris said he stood on the rock waiting." he then saw a lizard in front of him. he tried roaring, but the lizard didn't flinch. then he let out a big roar causing the lizard to run. Chris grinned but then he felt the ground shake. he then looked up to see a huge herd of tauros running straight at him. Chris had a face of pure terror as he began to run for his life. Chris ran and ran trying not to get trampled, he then got caught in between the herd. 

Escargoon was with Shiro as he saw the dust in the gorge. " oh look sire the herd is on the move." Escargoon said. "Odd?" Shiro replied. "Shiro! quick! stampede in the gorge! Chris is down there." Tom said to his brother. "Chris!" Shiro said scared.

Chris kept running, he then saw a tree and got on top of it. Shiro and Tom ran, Escargoon got on a swellow and flew down. he saw Chris hanging for his life. "Escargoon help me." Chris begged. " Your father's on the way, hold on."

"Hurry!"

Shiro and Tom finally got to the gorge and were met with Escargoon as he landed. "There,there on that Tree." Escargoon said pointing to Chris. "Hold On Chris!" a tauros then struck the tree." Shiro ran to get his son. he ran through the herd to get to his son. "Oh Tom this is awful. what do we do? what do we do? I'll go back for help. that's what I'll do! I'll go back for." Escargoon was then knocked out by Tom.

Shiro ran through the herd. he was damaged a little but then got back up. he looked up to see the tree snap and Chris was sent flying through the air. Shiro grabbed Chris and placed him on a nearby ledge. But he was then rammed by the Tauros. "DAD!" Chris cried out.

Chris looked for his father and then his father leaped out of the stampede and onto a ledge, he then began to climb up the cliff. Chris got onto higher ground to see his father.

Shiro clinged onto Dear life, he then saw Tom. "Tom! brother! help me!" he pleaded. Tom looked at him and then violently grabbed Shiro by the wrist. Tom Grinned.

"Long. live. the king." 

when the stampede subsided. Chris went down into the gorge and went to look for his father. "Dad..." Chris then heard something running towards him. "Dad?" a lone tauros ran past Chris. and then Chris saw it. he saw his Father's lifeless body. Chris ran at his father. "Dad.. Dad c'mon. you gotta get up... we gotta go home." Chris said shaking his father. he was met when with no response. "HELP!" Chris yelled. "Somebody." Chris whimpered. "Anybody.." He then began to sob. "Help..." Chris began to sob as he got underneath his father's arm. Tom approached Chris slowly. "Chris." Chris looked up at his uncle." What have you done." Tom said coldly. "The tauros- he tried to save me- it was a accident i didn't mean for it to happen." Tom then brought his nephew into a embrace " of course. no one ever means for these things to happen." Tom said solemnly. " but the king is dead.. and if it weren't for you he'd still be alive. "Chris shedded more tears. "what would your mother think." Tom said. " what am i going to do." Chris asked. "run away Chris. run. run away and never return." Tom said. and just like that Chris ran away.

Rainbow Dash, Karl and orange appeared behind Tom. " Kill him." And then the desperados were off.

Chris ran from the desperados, he ran into a small crack. Karl clawed at that Space. Chris ran until he was met with a steep cliff into a thorny patch. Chris looked back and saw the desperados approaching him. he had no choice and jumped into the brambles below. he then continued his escape. Karl saw the thorns and immediately stopped, he let out a sigh until Rainbow dash and Orange pushed him into the thorns. Karl jumped out howling in pain and covered in thorns. he crawled out as R.D. and Orange laughed.

Rainbow dash then noticed Chris escaping. "hey there he goes. there he goes." Dash exclaimed. Karl picked some of the thorns off him. " So go get him." No way. what do you want me coming out looking like you. cactus butt." Karl then Flicked some thorns at Orange. "But we gotta finish the Job." Karl growled. "he's as good as dead out there anyway. and if he comes back we'll kill him." Dash smiled. "YEAH YOU HEAR THAT! AND IF YOU EVER COME BACK WE'LL KILL YA!" Karl yelled as he and the others saw Chris run. run from the pridelands

Chapter Text

Tom stood near pride rock as the rest of the pride grieved. "Shiro's death was a terrible tragedy, but to lose Chris.. who has barely began to live." Tom said with sorrow in his voice. Kim shed a tear as Escargoon tried to comfort her. Abby also cried having just lost her best friend.

" it is a deep personal loss." Tom continued. " so it is with a heavy heart that I take the throne. yet out of the ashes of this tragedy we shall rise." Escargoon and the rest of the pride's faces turned to ones of grieve to shock and horror as they as the desperados emerge from behind Tom. " the dawning of a new era, in which Hero's and desperados come together in a great and glorious future."  Tom said as he went up and stood on top of pride rock as the desperados swarmed the pride.

Teslo watched from afar and sighed. he was sad that both the king and the young prince were now gone. he looked at the murale he made of Chris and scratched at it smudging some of it away.
