Luz held the hammer down, her cargo was time sensitive after all. Amity sat in the passenger seat next to her, keeping her eyes locked on the road in front of her, however the pale witches darted to the sid
e for the briefest of moments
“Shit Luz, he’s back!” Amity snarled, and Luz saw the black cab, and the familiar flame decals wrapped along it side
HER RIVAL
Luz narrowed her eyes, “Hang on Amity I am about to do something drastic!”
Luz spun the massive wheel, swerving into the oncoming lane, but this decision was a bad choice
Amity’s eyes widened, she reached out and hit the horn that hopefully would send a message for the other drivers to move out of the way
It however was a fruitless endeavor, as Luz collided with a truck head on, and sent the opposing vehicle flipping onto its side and bursting into a ball of flame.
Their big rig bounced at the impact hitting the signs above them and sent the green piece of metal with directions to the pavement below
The rival semi decided to add insult to injury as it rammed the side of Luz’s trailer, and Luz grimaced as her trajectory changed as she went off road and collided with some of the furbished houses along the roadside
The sounds of breaking two by fours and shattering glass filled the air, then Luz watched at the world went sideways, as her rig tipped onto its side
Luz placed her head in her hands, “Nooooo…..”
Amity reached over, staring at the mocking display that declared GAME OVER in red, the countdown timer slowly ticking to 0
Amity “Don’t worry Luz, we will win the next one.”
Luz looked at Amity, “How? I used my last token….”
Amity smiled, opening up her small fanny-pack and pulled out a silver disc that had been stamped with the arcades logo
“Don’t worry Boo, I gotchu.” She said, placing it into the insert coin slot as Luz wrapped her hands around the massive steering wheel to prepare herself for another delivery attempt
