You and me, we got something to lose.
As the echoing serenade filled the tranquil atmosphere under the moonlight’s evening glow, Betty found herself in the midst of a serene garden, surrounded by blooming flowers and the gentle rustle of leaves overhead. Following through the scenery with her partner Simon, isolated strains of a faraway melody emitted in the air which captured their attention.
Boy, you got your dreams, I got everything in you.
With an almost mischievous grin, Simon extended his hand out, a spark twinkling in his eyes. “Care for a dance this evening, my love?” he asked, his tone carrying the familiar warmth of their years spent together. The melody brought him a rather sublime idea to spend with his significant other, which earned a chuckle from the latter.
And I'll be there through all the reveries.
Leaning in a bit closer, Betty cautiously took his extended hand into hers, their fingers smoothly brushing one another’s. “Ah, I’m not exactly a dancer, to be honest.” She added, a nervous giggle escaping from her hushed tone. Nevertheless, their gaze shared a faint tenderness as their eyes were locked together.
Cause I believe in you more than I ever believed in me.
“We’ll create our own rhythm together.” Simon assured, his voice almost delving into a murmur. “Just follow my lead.” He whispered, their breaths mingling with the night air. Betty nodded, her heart fluttering with a mix of excitement and nervousness.
And I love you, love you, love you.
No, it's not so hard to tell.
Within a swift movement, Simon led his sweetheart to the center of the clearing, where a small patch of moonlight filtered through the branches, casting a gentle glow on the forest floor. The night air was filled with the sweet melody of a distant serenade, complementing the blending sounds of their footsteps on the night-kissed grass.
And I love you, love you, love you.
Is it obvious to everyone else?
Steadily holding on to one another, Simon patiently taught her the art of moving together in an act of surrendering to the music that played in their hearts. Betty stumbled at first, her laughter harmonizing with the rustling leaves and distant crickets while Simon’s grin brightened more than the moonlight’s bewitching shine.
And maybe this is killing part of me.
But it ain't called love without a little tragedy.
Under the gleaming stars, they moved in harmony. A twirl here, a dip there – each step a testament to the love that had stood the test of time. Betty couldn't help but smile as she looked into her lover’s gleaming eyes, feeling the connection that went beyond their soothing dance.
And I love you, love you, love you.
No, it's not so hard to tell.
As they danced, time seemed to slow down with the world around them fading away. The only reality that existed was the embrace of each other's arms and the gentle dance of their shared existence. They held each other close, their hearts beating in unison, synchronized like a duet.
And I love you, love you, love you.
Is it obvious to everyone else?
"I can't believe we've never done this before." Betty admitted, her eyes reflecting the moonlight.
"We have so many memories, but there's always room for new ones." Simon added, guiding her through the dance with ease. Betty’s own grin could only soften at the sound of his words in return, her blush coating her cheeks.
And even in my fantasies,
Make-believe couldn't make you.
Darling, I've seen worlds in you,
Who didn't know how to dream.
As the night progressed, their slow dance became more than just a physical movement of intimacy; it became a language of its own. In the warmth of the moment, Betty released her reservations, further allowing herself to be immersed in the dance by trusting the steady rhythm set by her darling. With each step, she discovered a new grace within herself, a dance that was uniquely theirs.
And you and me, we got something to lose.
And, boy, you got my heart.
My everything is you
The atmosphere seemed to hold its breath, enchanted by the sight of the couple lost in the dance of love. Time seemed to stretch, and with each step, the bond between the couple deepened.
"You're a natural, love." Simon whispered, his voice carrying a warmth that mirrored the gentle night.
Betty giggled faintly, the sound blending harmoniously into the evening air. "All thanks to you, darling."
And I love you, love you, love you
No, it's not so hard to tell
And I love you, love you, love you
Is it obvious to everyone else?
The moon watched over them, a silent observer to the love that swirled around the clearing. It was a dance of two souls deeply entwined, a dance that spoke volumes without the need for words. Finally, as the melody reached its end, they found themselves wrapped in a tender embrace. The world around them disappeared, leaving only the echo of their shared laughter and the warmth of their fueled connection.
In an intimate gesture, Simon took a hold of Betty’s hand before gently placing a kiss on the palm which earned a giggle out of the latter, before the two shared a more prolonged kiss of pure intimacy and passion. The couple lingered in the moonlit clearing, cherishing the memory under the stars of their slow dance - a dance that had stood the test of time and would continue to flourish beneath the night sky.
And even in my fantasies,
Make-believe couldn't make you.
Darling, I've seen worlds in you,
Who didn't know how to dream.
