the 1st snow of the year had finally arrived to stars hollow, with Lorelai getting up at the most unhuman hours because as she proclaimed to her daughter Rory "i smell snow. can't you smell it?" and, as always, she was right.
"c'mon, just stick to the border and you'll be fine" "i hate ice skating! i always manage to fall on my ass don't matter what!" and right on cue y/n slipped and almost fell as their grip on the border tighten "hey, you are the one who wanted to do this!" sighed jess, watching his partner unamused, and with a defeated sigh let out his hands "here, take my hands"
y/n looked her boyfriend up and down "no" "take my hands" "no" "y/n. take. my. hands." "no. you're gonna make me fall" "i'm not, if anything i'll probably stabilize you more than that wall. you can barely hold yourself up on your feet, so take my hand now because they are starting to freeze" and with a sigh y/n mumble a "fine, but if i fall, it's all your falt" "yeah yeah, just take my damn hand"
"see? you're doing great! haven't fallen... yet" "i'm right beside you, you know?!" "c'mon let try without hands" "what? no. no no no no no no. no." "hey. i'll be right beside you, i wont let you fall" jess said as he managed to get out of y/n's death grip on his hands "ok, see? stable" "hmm, you do know that if i move i'll probably fall right?"
"yeah, that's it, you are doing very well, almost as well as that 7 year old over there" said jess pointing to the kid that was skating not so far from you and almost fell every time "shut up" "c'mon let's try and go a little bit faster, i'll give you a push" said as jess positioned himself behind y/n ready to push her, and he did, she was doing great until she almost knocked the 7 year old over, and fell on her side, almost knocking against the wall.
"stop laughing! it was not that funny!" "yes it was, you almost knocked that kid over, it was hilarious" jess said as he continued laughing "it really hurt" y/n pouted "𝑎𝑤𝑤 𝑝𝑜𝑜𝑟 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦, 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑚𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑘𝑖𝑠𝑠 𝑖𝑡 𝑏𝑒𝑡𝑡𝑒𝑟?" replied jess mockingly as he squeezed them closer and leaned in "yes" y/n pouted looking at their boyfriend's eyes, and with a roll of eyes, jess placed a kiss on his partners shoulder and head, getting up and extending his hands to them "let's go to Luke's and ice that head and shoulder"
"it still hurts"
