Nile was looking at the iPad as she entered the living room.
Nile: "I think we got it all. Are you..."
Nile looked up to see where Joe and Nicky were, expecting them to be kissing like crazy.
Nile: "Joe, why are you sitting on Nicky?"
Joe: "You told me, no wait, you gave me the order to make sure that everyone stayed put until you returned, so I thought the best way was to sit on Nicky. He is known for being a great escape artist. Just ask Houdini. Houdini never figured out how Nicky got out of that barrel after being shackled and thrown into the river, but hi, it inspired Houdini to try the same thing."
Joe gave Nicky a big smile.
Joe: "Nicky still wins for style if you ask me."
Nicky: "You only say that because you like it when a wet shirt clings to my chest."
Joe: "I have no idea what you're talking about. All I know is that my hubby is the sexist man alive."
Nicky: "You say the nicest things. Listen, do you mind getting off me?"
Joe: "Even though you also are cute, no. I got an order from the Kid Boss."
Nicky: "That was new, Mr Troublemaker. You following orders."
Joe: "I'm trying to make a good impression here."
Nicky: "Good luck with that. I was around the first time you wanted to impress the Boss."
Joe: "You and I remember things differently. And we'll talk about it once we're back home again."
Nicky: "Oh great, another long night of you monologing. It's good that I have learned to sleep through it. That's one of the advantages of a long life."
Joe: "Listen, young man..."
Nicky: "You only call me a young man when I'm in trouble. For the record, I'm so scared."
Before Joe could say anything, Nile started to laugh.
Joe: "What's so funny, Kid Boss?"
Nile: "You two are better entertainment than any of the reality shows I have ever watched."
Joe and Nicky looked at each other.
Nicky: "Was that meant as a compliment?"
Nile: "It was, yes. Joe, get off Nicky. We leave in five minutes, so you better get all the kissing out of your system before that."
Joe got off Nicky, who rolled around, but before Nicky could get up, Joe almost pounced Nicky, who ended up on his back with Joe on top, who started to kiss Nicky.
Nicky: "Joe, please, I need to breathe."
Joe: "It has to wait. Kid Boss ordered me to kiss you before leaving, so I'm doing that for the next five minutes until I get a new order."
Joe and Nicky started to roll around on the floor.
Nile: "Let's say ten minutes. See you outside."
Nile left in a hurry so the boys could kiss in peace.
Nicky: "Yusuf. I know you like to kiss me and I you but let's do what you just said, make a good impression. This is Nile's first mission in charge, and she needs us to focus on the mission."
Joe: "Yeah, you're right. As always. But once the mission is over, you aren't getting off this easy."
Nicky: "Can't wait. One last kiss, and then let's get going."
After one more kiss that might have turned into five, they got up from the floor and walked outside to Nile.
Nile: "Wow, and with six minutes to spare. Maybe there's hope for you yet."
Joe: "The Kid Boss is almost as sarcastic as you're Nicky."
Nile: "Thanks. And about Kid Boss. Could you not call me something else?"
Nicky: "No, you're younger than us, which makes you a Kid, and you're in charge of this mission, which makes you the Boss."
Nile: "Just get into the car. And Nicky, you drive. That way, you can't do anything gross in front of me."
Joe: "Wow, the Kid Boss sounds more and more like the Boss."
Nile resisted bitting on the last remark from Joe, or else they would still be standing by the car in an hour. The last thing Nile saw as they drove away from the safe house was Andy standing in the doorway, holding onto her ribs. Andy gave Nile a nod before Andy went inside again.
