After the school day, Rinku and Muni had planned to hang out at Muni’s house. The two finally arrive inside, and as expected Muni’s mom wasn’t home.
“I hope she doesn’t work too late tonight…”
Muni sighed to herself as she and Rinku set their bags down in her bedroom before Muni turned to Rinku.
“I’m going to go use the bathroom, I’ll be right back, Rinku.”
Rinku smiled and waved her off as if she was going to take a long time to do so.
“ALRIGHT!”
“Noise, Rinku!”
“Oops….”
Muni shook her head at Rinku’s volume before walking down the hall to head to her bathroom. Rinku looked around her bedroom, noticing a stack of Manga on her desk. After a second of thought, she decides to pick one of them up and begins to read. Her eyes widen at a sight she’s never seen before, two girls kissing! It was yuri!
“Huh…”
Rinku continued to read, fascinated by this new discovery that girls could be in relationships as well as kiss other girls. Muni finally gets out the bathroom walking back to her bedroom but being confused to where Rinku exactly was, as she stepped away from sight.
“Rinku, are you there?”
There was no response, she checked her desk noticing her Manga had been taken from it.
“Wait- Did she?!”
Muni turned behind her, having somehow not noticed Rinku, who was reading it on the bed.
“Muni!!!”
Rinku bounced off the bed to face her fully. Muni was blushing from this whole ordeal.
“Why did you take my Manga, Rinku?!”
Rinku’s eyes widened as she handed it back to her.
“Sorry! I forgot to ask!”
Muni took the manga from her hands, putting it back into the book stack.
“It’s fine… Did you like it at least?”
“I loved it! I didn’t know two girls could actually be together romantically!”
Muni had a blank look of confusion scattered on her face from this statement.
“.... What?”
“Wait! Muni! Let’s try it! I wanna kiss you!”
Muni was shocked by Rinku’s sudden idea, not that she was going to scream at her or anything however.
“Wh-WHAT?!”
“Come on! Just a kiss!”
Rinku leaned into Muni who couldn’t move, the idea of her not even having to make the first move with her crush? This was beyond confusing for her. After some seconds pass, Rinku finally managed to lock lips with Muni who slowly eased into the kiss before pulling away and standing there, blushing.
“.... What did we just do, Rinku?”
Rinku was smiling brightly after kissing her, clearly overjoyed by it.
“Did you like it, Muni-chan?”
Muni just felt her face heat up as she buried her face into Rinku’s chest.
“WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT SO SUDDENLY?!”
“Huh?”
Rinku was confused by the sudden outburst from Muni but hugged her.
“Rinku! I was supposed to be the one to…”
Muni felt her face turn entirely red, realizing she had basically just exposed her plan to Rinku.
“Wait… You were going to kiss me first?”
Muni knew her game was up, her face contorting to an uneasy smile.
“If you wouldn't mind…”
Rinku suddenly got ready to kiss her again, but this time letting Muni engage it instead of her being the one to do so, surprising Muni. Muni knew she couldn’t back down and after several seconds she kissed her, holding that for several moments then pulling away.
“So… Um…”
Muni twirled her fingers, flustered by this.
“Is everything okay, Muni?”
Muni took a deep breath, clearly trying to get the words out of her. They were getting stuck but as she swallowed her fear, she tried to ask.
“Rinku… um… I know this is sudden, and feel free to say no, but um…”
Rinku tilted her head as Muni struggled to speak what she was thinking.
“Go ahead, I won’t judge, Muni!”
With Rinku’s encouragement, Muni finally asks.
“Will you be my girlfriend, Rinku?”
Rinku looks a bit surprised but gives no more than a confirming nod. Muni was a bit surprised, Rinku had JUST found out about sapphic relationships and brushed it off as if it was nothing to her, meanwhile Muni had struggled with her feelings towards Rinku for years.
“Is that a yes?”
“Yep! Of course!”
Muni sighed as she calmed down, a mixture of happiness and anxiety passing from her.
“How do we do thi-”
As Muni went to ask that question, Rinku suddenly hugged her.
“I love you!”
Muni just winced, she loved Rinku, but this impulsiveness would definitely test that.
“Love… you too…”
Muni passed out from a lack of oxygen due to the hug being so tight.
“Muni! …. Muni?”
After realizing what had happened, Rinku slowly let go of Muni and laid her in the bed.
“Oops…”
