After a storm, the sun will shine brighter than ever. The wind will caress our hair with soft strokes and the trees will spread their green to comfort the world again.
The air is filled with the scent of freedom, the feeling of warmth.
But even after the storm, the rainbows became a reminder of what no longer existed.
Vertin gazed at Schneider with a soft smile. "Funny how rain can bring people together," She mused, adjusting the umbrella.
Schneider, with a teasing grin, replied, "Well, someone has to bring a little sunshine, even on rainy days."
Vertin pouted. "And here I thought the rain was supposed to be gloomy," she said playfully.
Schneider chuckled at the sight of her lover’s pout. She leaned closer, causing the umbrella to drop a few inches, letting a few rays of light through. "It is," she said with a mischievous grin. "That’s why I'm here."
You know, the rain brings the rainbows, too.
"Really?"
Vertin's gaze rested on the beauty before her, absorbing the radiant splendor that seemed to emanate from within. As the rain pattered upon them, she felt a sudden urge to bring her closer.
She cupped her hands around Schneider, her touch gentle and caring. Vertin looked into her ruby eyes, allowing their passion to speak for itself.
Schneider, on the other hand, saw Vertin's expression and was overcome with euphoria. Like a bee drawn to the nectar of flowers, she couldn't resist the urge to lean in for a kiss.
She laughs, a sound as sweet as honey, as pure as the raindrops that sprinkle the cobblestone street. Vertin kisses her back, breathing in the scent of a thousand distant eras, a thousand precious moments.
Time may never be so sublime, yet I cannot deny that your beauty surpasses it nonetheless.
Pondering the words they had shared before, Vertin whispered to herself, "Funny how rain can bring people together, but it took away my sunshine with you."
