Chapter Text
It was the night of the day the whole hexsquad got forced out the demon realm and into the human realm due to the actions of that horrible man that once went by the name Philip Wittebane. The hexsquad was guided over to this specific house Luz described as home, the five of them stood in the cold rain as Luz knocked on the door. In which in return a short latina woman that had to be in her early forties walked and responded to. "Hey mom...I'm back.." Luz said in a weak and tired voice as a broken smile covered her face. The latina woman would stand there in shock as a loud gasp escaped her before she covered her mouth with her hand. Tears would fall from both Luz and the woman before the two would lean foward and give eachother a strong hug. Amity and Gus would stand there, a blank stare on their face as they gripped eachothers hands tightly, they wanted to scream, they wanted to cry, they wanted to do anything just to go back and see their loved ones. But they couldn't do anything, their screams and begs would be nothing but a whisper in this world. They couldn't process anything, it was all too much, how did this happen, how was any of this possible, this was the day they feared for a long time becoming a reality.
Two hours go by, the hexsquad was inside the house now, wrapped in blankets and given hot cocoa to warm all of them up. They all introduced themselves and shared their hobbies to Camila and a few things about them. Luz, Camila, and Vee were all in a group by the rocking chair, catching up on times they missed as Luz told Camila and Vee about some of the amazing bounty hunting trips she went on and more. Willow was on the edge of the couch examining a fake plant in a ceramic pot that was placed on the small table next to the couch, wrapped up in a plant themed blanket, meanwhile Hunter was sitting in the middle of the carpet, wrapped up in a full colored yellow blanket as him and Flapjack observed a deck of uno cards, trying to figure out what it was and what it did. Amity and Gus were curled up together on the couch, sharing a blanket with eachother as Gus laid his head on Amitys shoulder and Amity laid her head on top of Gus's short kinky hair. The two wore an exhausted look at they dissociated. Scratches covering their body as dried blood stained their clothes. Yet they felt some what comforted by eachothers touch.
It was late at night, the rest of the group were asleep besides Amity and Gus. Gus had to stay upstairs with Amity tonight, he needed her, she was like his parent. Something about him was so comforting, like a parent cradling their baby to bed. Gus was sitting in bed next to Amity, the two sat there in silence, yet something about this silence felt so loud that it almost felt deafening. Minutes which felt like hours go by, a soft sniffling noise could be heard coming from gus, this sparked Amitys attention, his gaze turned to Gus as he watched the poor boy soon break down in tears. Without a word coming from Amity, not a single look of judgement escaping those golden eyes, they scooted over by Gus and held him close, letting him cry into his shoulder. Gus held onto her as he cried, faint words escaping him "I miss my dad...I-I miss matt..I miss home.." This broke Amity, each word shattered her heart more and more. Amity held the back of Gus's head as he let him cry, he rubbed his back in a comforting way. "Shhh..shhh...baby I know..I miss my siblings..I miss Skara...and I miss home...Im sure matt's ok..he's a strong one..just like you..." Her eyes teared up when she mentioned Skara, Titan how she missed her. All he wanted was for Skara to hold her and kiss her as she told him how he was alright. Amity cradled Gus softly as he sobbed, Humming a soothing melody to him, the same melody Skara would always hum to her when she felt scared and alone. It was so comforting...As Amity hummed, her voice got more and more cracky before silent sobbing could be heard. Amity continued to hold onto Gus as she cried, tears running down her face as her breath hicked. Agonizing sobs coming from the both of them. So silent that it didn't wake the others, yet so powerful it made their minds collapse more and more every second. Next morning will be better? Or next week, or next month, or next year..or next decade...
