Chapter Text
Another year had come and gone, the new year was on the horizon, and it was finally time for the winter holidays. This year, Clark was visiting Bruce’s manor to join the family celebrations. The pair had been dating for several years now, and pining for even longer, but they had finally found a good rhythm and understanding. Though Clark could have decorated the house at super speed, he and Bruce had decided to decorate together instead. As they carefully decked the halls, they found themselves singing familiar songs.
“So really I’d better scurry~” Bruce sang, as Clark hummed along. “Well, maybe just a half a drink more!” Bruce eyed Clark with a grin. “The neighbours might think-”
“Baby, it’s bad out there-” Clark joined in.
“Say, what's in this drink-”
“No cabs to be had out there-”
“I wish I knew how- “
“Your eyes are like starlight~”
“To break the spell~”
“I'll take your hat, your hair looks swell-”
“I ought to say no, no, no, sir-” Bruce shook his head coyly, starting to move closer towards Clark as Clark did the same.
“Mind if I move in closer?”
“At least I'm gonna say that I tried!”
“What's the sense in hurting my pride?”
“I really can’t stay…”
“Baby it’s cold outside!” They finished together, harmonising perfectly, as they gazed lovingly into each other's eyes. Clark eyed the ceiling and then pointed up, to the mistletoe he had just secured. Bruce laughed and shook his head fondly as Clark pulled him into his arms, and the two kissed.
“Ewwwwww! Get a room!” Jason called out, walking through the hall with his eyes covered.
“I own this house,” Bruce countered, “All the rooms are mine!”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah!” Jason called back as he escaped.
Though he feigned disgust, Bruce and Clark knew he was pleased the pair had finally become a couple. Nuzzling into Clark’s chest, Bruce sighed in relief.
“Happy Holidays, dearest.”
Clark practically hummed in delight. “Happy Holidays, darling!”
