Work Text:
Logan finally finished the schedule for all of next year. It was almost midnight. His friends were all downstairs, partying. Well, not all of them. Patton was on the love seat in the corner of Logan's office, playing with his new Magic 8 Ball.
Logan rubbed at his tired eyes with his palms. "I don't understand why you'd want to stay here, Patton. Our friends are enjoying themselves quite a bit, I'm sure."
"Aw, I love them, Logan, but I'm not the biggest fan of their drunken attacks at each other. Plus, the lighting in your office is so much better than the strobes they put up."
Loud shouting could be heard from downstairs. "FUCK IT UP, JANUS!!" Virgil, of all people, shouted at the top of his lungs.
Patton muttered under his breath, staring at the message in his Christmas gift, "Language..."
Logan grinned.
"You about done, Logan?" he asked, shaking the ball once more.
"I finished 48 seconds ago, actually," Logan replied, turning to face the other.
"OH SHIIIT- REMY'S ON THE TABLE!!"
"How did we end up befriending these people?"
Patton laughed. "They were your college buddies. Well- Emile and the twins were mine, but they aren't as- You get it."
Logan got up and climbed on the love seat with, and on top of, Patton, resting his face on the warm man's shoulder.
"You wanna hear something funny?" Patton asked.
Logan sighed. "Why not?"
"Every time I asked this thing if we'd always be together, it replied, 'Yes. Absolutely.'" He smiled. "Is that true, Logan?"
Logan thought about the schedule he'd painstakingly made.
"Yes. Absolutely."
