Chapter Text
“Mommy? Daddy?” A young Demoness girl asked.
“Yes, my dear?” Her mother asked.
“Can you tell me a story?” The daughter asked.
“Which one ‘Chako?” Her father chuckled.
“The story about homes. All of them.” She said.
“I see. Don’t you remember how this one goes?” The mother asked.
“Course I do. She’s asked for it more than any other.” The father replied before beginning.
“Millinia ago, there were two Worlds. The Aether, home to the Angels, Demons, and Deceased, and the Earth, home to all living beings. The Aether was ruled by four Divine beings, the King and Queen of the Angels, and the King and Queen of the Demons. It was the Angel’s job to reward those whose hearts were good in the afterlife and the Demon’s job was to punish those who were wicked. However, both Angels and Demons were meant to come together whenever heavy conflict was brought to Earth.” The father said, smiling as his daughter watched in awe.
“Ultimately, when both Angels and Demons were brought to conflict over disagreements over how to handle violence on Earth, the current Demon King and Queen left the Aether, along with all Demons. Then using the Demon King’s chosen artifact, the Black Grimoire, they formed their own home known as the Nether. The Nether would be the new home for deceased evil humans, while the Aether would be home to all good, deceased humans. Since then, the role of King and Queen of the Aether and Nether has been passed down from generation to generation.” Her father said before reaching his hand to caress his daughter’s cheek.
“That is, until we reach you.” He said, the daughter smiling.
“Thank you, Daddy.” The daughter said, turning around to lay on her side.
The mother and father smiled to themselves before leaving their daughter's room. However, before they could leave, they were confronted by one last question.
“Daddy? Mommy?” She asked.
“Yes?” the father said.
“Are we ever gonna get to go back? To the Aether? With the Angels?” She asked.
||The two parents looked at each other before coming to an agreement.
“Only time will tell. But I think, someday, the Angels and Demons will come together again, just like they did all those years ago.” The mother said.
The daughter smiled before closing her eyes, letting sleep take over her little body.

“Mom! Mom! Mom!” A young Angel boy eagerly called for his mother.
“Yes, Izuku?” His mother asked.
“The ad’s showing up on TV again! Come see come see!” The boy shouted as loud as his little lungs could carry him.
“One second sweetie.” The mother said, finishing the current dish she was making for her child.
While the Angel boy waited, he stared in awe at the TV. In front of his own very eyes, was his second-favorite-person in all three Worlds. Behind his mother, of course.
“Hello there! I am here, on a TV screen!” A tall, blonde, bulky Angel shouted with an eccentric voice.
“Welcome to U.A. High! The Aether’s most prestigious academy for Angelic Warriors, supported by the King and Queen of the Aether themselves! Here in U.A., we train everyday Angels like you at home, to be all-powerful warriors, capable of protecting the Earth from its many, MANY conflicts!” The Angel on the TV screen said.
“Once you’ve graduated from U.A., you will gain an Angelic Warrior License. With this, you can come to the human world to protect it from all sources of harm. While we as Angels must keep our identity as a secret from those on Earth, I think the true focus of working as an Angelic Warrior shouldn’t be about recognition from saving others, but the act of saving itself. And besides, our state-of-the-art human disguising necklaces and memory wiping spells have prevented the identity of the Aether and Nether from being spread too far, back on Earth.” The Angel continued.
“If you think you’re up to the task, attend U.A. and go beyond to protect those in need! PLUS ULTRA!” The eccentric Angel said before the ad closed.
The boy had gotten so excited and invested in the TV Show, he hadn’t noticed that his mother had come right next to him.
“He’s just so cool! And some day, I’m gonna be the best Angel Warrior just like him!” The boy said.
His mother scooped him up and spun him around, the boy smiling and laughing the whole time.
“I just know you will! You’re gonna make me so proud, even prouder than I am every day!” She said.
“Uh huh!” The Angel boy agreed before his mom gently places him on the ground.
“Plus Ultra!” The boy shouted U.A.’s signature catchphrase, pumping his arm in triumph while laughing happily.

10 Years Later
“I dunno, I just…. don’t feel like I know what I want to do in life, y’know?” An eighteen-year-old Ochako Uraraka, Princess of the Nether said.
“I mean, it seems everyone else knows what they’re doing. Dad does all the big important things, Mina’s great at talking to people and socializing, Toru’s great at stealthy stuff, Kirishima’s super strong and reliable and Mineta... isn’t a great Demon but at least he KNOWS what he wants to do in life! But me... I don’t know. I’m supposed to be the Princess of the Nether, but I’m clueless!” Ochako said.
“There’s one thing I do know. I want to explore. I want to see the World, not just this one, but the Earth. I obviously can’t go to the Aether since… y’know… Demon? Heaven? Doesn’t match up does it?” Ochako asked.
“Sorry! This is probably a lot to take in. I just get a little... passionate when I talk about this kind of stuff. So, what would you do big guy? What would you do if you were me?” Ochako asked someone.
That someone happened to be a tied up, horrified man whose mouth was blocked with a thick, black lasso. Ochako realized that the man’s mouth was blocked. She reached to remove the lasso from his mouth, only for her phone to vibrate from an incoming call.
Ochako reached to her phone and saw the incoming call, realizing it was from her father. This reminded her of what her actual intentions should be.
“Oh right. I’m supposed to be torturing you.” Ochako said before stabbing the man’s knee with a modest sized pitchfork, causing him to scream in agony.
“Hey Dad.” Ochako said, ignoring the man’s screams.
“Hey ‘Chako! How’s the torture session going?” Her father asked.
“It’s okay. Never really cared for them.” Ochako said.
“You remember what I told you right? Stab the-” He said before getting cut off by his daughter.
“Stab the lower limbs to drag out the pain, I know, you’ve told me a hundred times.” Ochako said.
“Good! Good! Just remember to never feel bad for it sweetie, this is where people like racists, murderers, and people who leave gum under tables go.” Her father said.
“Yeah, I know. Hey dad, I’ve been wondering, now that I’m an adult...” Ochako started.
“…Go on?” Her father asked.
“...I could go out to Earth?”
“No, No, absolutely not.” Her father said.
“Come on Dad, you never let me go anywhere!” Ochako complained.
“You are the Princess of the Nether. You can go absolutely anywhere.” Her father said.
“Absolutely anywhere except the place I actually to go. I’ve seen pictures of the human world! It looks so much more... Alive.” Ochako said.
“We’ve been over this. Your mother, my wife, was killed by a group of Angels, for doing absolutely nothing.” Her father argued.
“…I know. But this is different. Mom hated violence; she’d rather let herself die than bring harm to another. I’m different! If some Angel prick pops up, I’ll split their head open with a pitchfork! Just like you taught me.” Ochako said.
“Even then, you have responsibilities. You’re the next in line as the ruler of the Nether. I can’t last forever, who’s going to take over my responsibilities when I die?”
“Can’t we find someone else to do it? I don’t even want to, let alone know if I’m even qualified.”
“It’s in your blood. And this is tradition. I’ll see you at the dinner later today. I love you.”
“Love you too dad.” Ochako sighed, hanging up the phone.
She sat there. Empty. Wondering what to do. Then she thought of something. Ochako dialed a number for one of her closest friends, patiently waiting until the call was answered.
“Hey Ocha, what’s up?” A feminine voice greeted.
“Hey Mina. You know that dinner tonight? The one I told you about yesterday?” Ochako asked.
“Yeah why?” Mina said.
“Get Toru. Tell her we’ve got something important to do.” Ochako said before beginning to discuss her plan.
—————————————————————————
Later that day, Ochako’s father had started a royal dinner in celebration of his daughter’s birthday. Just about everyone was there, Ochako, her friends, high ranking Demons, her father, and various family members that she hadn’t seen in years.
At that moment, Ochako had been talking to Mina while subtly looking around her surroundings. She noticed her father had been sitting down, taking a moment to rest next to the Black Grimoire. He almost never left without it.
“Ochako, I’m telling you, this isn’t the right call to make.” Mina advised her friend.
“I know, I don’t want to do this, but it was a long time coming.” Ochako argued.
Mina groaned before stepping up to Ochako.
“OCHAKO! You are making ME into the rational one! ME! RATIONAL!” Mina whisper-shouted.
Ochako paused. She knew that if anything, Mina believing the correct choice being to play it safe wasn’t the right decision was an immediate red flag. The Demoness was always so eager, upfront, and would never back down from what she thought needed to be done, especially related to her friends.
Which is why Ochako knew that lying to her father so she could visit the Human world wasn’t the best idea.
“…Yeah. You’re right. I could… we could… try to convince him?” Ochako asked.
“I mean how? I don’t think I’ve seen anyone who hates Humans more than your old man. Y’know. The Lord of the Underworld.” Mina answered.
The girls pondered for a moment before coming up with an idea.
Ochako approached her father, who had been discussing with another high-class Demon during the dinner.
“Hey dad, could I pull you out for a sec? It’s important.” Ochako asked.
“Of course.” Her father answered, as the two entered a smaller corner as Ochako’s friends, Mina and Toru accompanied them.
“Dad… I want to go to the Hu-“
“No.” Ochako was cut off by a flat denial from her father.
“Wait wait wait! Mr. Uraraka please emperor of Hell sir! Here your daughter out on this one.” Mina said.
“Ok so. I know aren’t the most.. passionate on the subject of Earth. Especially after what happened with mom.” Ochako started.
“But you said it yourself. I have responsibilities. I may not want to rule over the Nether, but I’m gonna have to eventually apparently. There, I can learn the ropes with casting teleportation Spells and stuff! Besides, any ordinary Human that might pick a fight wouldn’t stand a chance against me!” Ochako argued.
“And what about Angels? Patrollers of Earth? The same people who murdered your mother? My wife?” Mr. Uraraka said, keeping his position on the matter, but becoming more lenient.
“Simple. This.” Toru said, holding Mr. Uraraka’s grimoire in hand.
“This Grimoire is the sign of a Demonic royalty. The folks up in the Aether were quick to apologize after what happened to mom, BOY you were so mad. Now, imagine another Demon royalty being killed by an Angel? That’d be justifiable for full on warfare. No Angel is stupid enough to pull something like that, and with that Grimoire, everyone will know I’m royalty while I still get to wear a Human disguise and blend in with them.” Ochako argued.
“…I can’t have you running around on Earth with my book. I have responsibilities to carry out with it.” Mr. Uraraka gave one last argument, hoping Ochako would forget a certain detail that would disprove it.
“Alright. That’s true. But didn’t you say that you can split the Grimoire into multiple copies? Sure it lowers the power of each, but it’s still a sign of Demon royalty that Humans know nothing about.” Ochako said.
Mr. Uraraka paused again. He wasn’t quite sure how to go on. He had to admit, his daughter had given some crucial points.
“Y’know, I think I like this strategy a lot more than us taking Mr. Uraraka’s grimoire without him knowing it.” Toru whispered to Mina, as the other Demoness nodded.
“Don’t make me bust out the begging stares.” Ochako teased.
“Alright alright, spare me of your threats.” Mr. Uraraka said.
“Sooooo… we got a deal?” Mina asked.
“…Yes.” Mr. Uraraka said, as the Demonesses clapped each other’s hands.
“BUT!” Mr. Uraraka paused their joys.
“You have to take another Demon with you. Someone strong, capable of defending you while you’re gone in case anyone tries doing something stupid despite you being the princess.” Mr. Uraraka said.
“Fine. Still, I doubt anything’s gonna go too wrong. I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?” Ochako chuckled.
—————————————————————————
“Uh, Mr. Midoriya?” A rookie Angelic Warrior called out.
Izuku Midoriya, eighteen-year-old prodigy Angelic Warrior, turned around to face the voice who had called out to him.
“Please, just call me Izuku. It’s a lot less formal, and we are around the same age.” Izuku said.
“Right! Well, can you help me with my Human Disguising Gadget?” The rookie asked.
“Of course! Don’t worry, I know it’s a little hard to get used to on your first day on the job.” Izuku said.
Izuku grabbed a small, Angelic Necklace and placed it around the rookies next.
“Okay, once the necklace is around your neck, think about when you want to look at a Human, and it should disguise you.” Izuku said.
“Alright. Let’s do this right now!” The rookie said.
Suddenly, the rookie’s angelic wings disappeared, as well as their halo.
Their angelic outfit was replaced with a modern day human jacket and pants. The rookie looked down and noticed the necklace had disappeared as well.
“Weird. Where’d the necklace go?” The rookie said.
“It’s still there. You just can’t see it. Think about whenever you want to look like an Angel again, and the necklace should do it! Plus, it’ll be back when you do.” Izuku.
“Oh, thanks! You really are as good as folks say you are!” The rookie said with a smile.
“I didn’t really do a lot, but thanks anyway. Also, it’s important to keep in mind that Necklace progressively drains you overtime. You’ll need to take breaks occasionally to give yourself a break so you can keep using your disguise.” Izuku instructed the rookie.
Then the Angelic Warrior picked up a Holy Spellbook and scrolled down the list of spells.
“A World Hopping Spell is all we need to get the Human world. Good luck on your first day pal! I’m sure you’ll do better than my first day anyway.” Izuku said, activating a portal.
“I really doubt that…” The rookie said as he and Izuku walked through the portal.
The portal transported the two Angels to an alleyway in the city of Musutafu. As Izuku and the rookie watched the portal clone, only to turn around and notice a Human, having just watched them entire and exit the portal, mouth wide open.
Izuku sighed.
“Soooo… he just saw us right?” The rookie said.
“Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it.” Izuku said before scrolling past the Holy Spellbook again, searching for a memory wiping spell.
—————————————————————————
Izuku Midoriya calmly walked through the sewers of Musutafu. About an hour had passed since the beginning of his shift on Earth. In the darkened corners beneath the city, he’d be free to release temporarily his Human disguise.
Most things of the day were going normal, he’d stopped the occasional petty robbery going down on streets, helped a young boy whose dog had broken free of his leashed grip, so far standard affair.
However, there was something odd about today.
Izuku pulled out his Demonic Energy searcher, his personal special device modified by another Angel he knew on the field, Mei Hatsume.
“Strange… the searcher says that there’s a huge chunk of Demon energy flowering from inside of here. The energy is bunched up, either between a small group moving together or one super powerful individual. I need to check this out and make see their intentions.” Izuku muttered to himself.
Before he could continue his muttering, the Angelic Warrior heard a distant whistling from the hall of the sewers.
Panicking, the flew to the top of the hall, stabbing a fair sized blade into the wall to stay elevated without flapping his wings to make more noise. He turned off his golden floating halo to prevent any light from revealing his hiding spot.
Izuku looked down and spotted a sewer worker lurking in down across the dark layers of area.
The Angel kept silent as he watched the worker trod from beneath him. After he left his sight, Izuku gently landed on the ground before continuing to walk.
“Ok so it isn’t completely silent inside here… I should watch my step. More importantly, the Demonic energy is growing. I should be running into it any second-.” Izuku continued muttering before hearing a scream from the dark side of the sewers.
“…or now.” Izuku sprinted away, using his wings to fly across the dark room before finishing his muttering.
“The Demonic energy should be coming from here. I won’t need to use my disguise, in case there’s a human there, since there’d be no point in having it on when a Demon doesn’t.” Izuku mumbled before wielding his golden long sword to face his new foe.
—————————————————————————
Ochako and her chosen guard, Shinso, walk along the sewers below. It had been a long day for the young Demoness princess, as well as her bodyguard, and by now the two were ready to go home.
“Thanks for helping me out Shinso!” Ochako happliy told her Demon friend as the two walked along the sewers below.
“It’s no biggie. I wasn’t really expecting to have a good time on this planet, but it sure proved me wrong.” Shinso said, reaching beneath his pockets to pull out the Grimoire, chanting the spell necessary to create a portal.
“And this is just the beginning. Today was all about sightseeing and recognizing surface level stuff about this place, soon, I can’t wait to learn everything else! Their people, food, places, traditions, everything!” Ochako said before beginning to walk into the portal when something odd happened.
From the ground below, a large slab of glowing earth formed and molded into a large wall, blocking the portal and preventing them from escaping.
Ochako and Shinso looked behind themselves. To their horror, they spotted an Angel, one with slick blonde hair, with bangs hanging over his right eye, with periwinkle colored eyes beneath them.
“Well well well, I recognize you! Ochako Uraraka, Princess of the Nether! Though I don’t know why you’re tagging along with some low class Demon.” The Angel said.
“Look, we don’t want any trouble, and we haven’t done any either. If you let us go, we’ll be on our way and no one will have to get hurt.” Shinso said, attempting to disengage the situation.
“Oh I know you have! In fact, I’ve been following you around for quite a while now. Isn’t it odd how despite those disguises, an oddly large amount of Demon energy never left your vicinity?” The Angel continued.
“Then you would know we haven’t done anything. So just let us go!” Ochako said.
“That I will not. Filth like you don’t deserve to be walking along this beautiful planet. I may not be able to harm you, Ms. Uraraka, without causing any large amounts of chaos, but your little friend here will do just fine!” The Angel said, walking forward
“Look who’s talking. How could you judge those around you without even knowing who they are truly?” Shinso said, attempting to cause his Demonic spell to activate a second time.
“I don’t need to know! Those like you have always been beneath us, and always will!” The Angel said, using his own Angelic spell to lift up more chunks of rock from the ground and launching them at Shinso.
The Demon dodged the incoming projectiles while thinking to himself.
Why wasn’t he affected by my Brainwashing spell? I talked to him, and he responded once, and I even asked him a direct question which he answered! This is bad… Shinso thought to himself before feeling something.
From beneath his torso, a large chunk of earth moved telekinetically yanked him to the ground, wrapping around his leg and leaving him trapped.
The Angel cracked his knuckles before wailing on the Demon, beating him senseless as black blood landed on the ground. He could’ve easily used his own abilities to attack, but he wanted to savor the pain given himself.
“Leave him alone!” Ochako shouted, rushing by his side.
The Angel used the same trick he had pulled on Shinso on Ochako, making a telekinetic chain to tie Ochako to the ground. The Angel continued attacking, blood splattering even harder across the room.
“Stop it, you’re going to kill him!” Ochako shouted, beginning to cry tears.
The Demoness felt helpless, worthless, unable to do anything to save the one who was supposed to protect her.
“Take this as a lesson Princess. Any ti-“
“Monoma!” A voice boomed through the sewers, as a figure drew nearer and nearer.
Neito Monoma paused his assault on Shinso to look across, recognizing that voice. He grumbled as the figure revealed itself.
Ochako looked at him, his messy, plain looking, yet oddly adorable green hair, sparkling emerald eyes, and freckles painted all across his face and cheeks. He had the traits of an Angel, their wings, halo, warrior outfit, as well as a long bladed weapon in hand.
“Midoriya! Long time no see!” Monoma said, attempting to feign innocence and make light of the situation.
“I heard rumors about you attacking innocent Demons before, but I didn’t want to believe them and gave you the benefit of the doubt. But thanks for admitting them, you made my job a whole lot easier. Now…” Izuku said, lifting up his blade.
“Let them go.” Izuku ordered, aiming his bladed weapon of choice at the Angel.
“C’mon Midoriya! You wouldn’t attack another Ang-“ Monoma said before being cut off yet again.
Izuku channeled all of his strength to slash the blade forward, creating a shockwave in the air, sending Monoma flying and rolling across the ground. While still worried, Ochako couldn’t help but giggle at the situation.
Monoma got up and brushed his wounds off, furious at being turnt into what is effectively a human sized rag doll. He considered using his spell to continue fighting, but paused to think.
“Y’know what? I don’t have time to waste on these filth. You go on ahead, I guess I’ll meet you at headquarters.” Monoma said before marching into the darkness away.
Izuku breathed a sigh of relief as Ochako and Shinso stared at him, wide eyed.
“W-What?” Izuku asked.
“You… saved us? Why? I-I mean you’re-“
“I’m an Angel, and you’re a Demon, I know. But I seem to hear you say that it’s not right to judge someone without knowing who they truly are?” Izuku chuckled.
The Angel reached down and effortlessly tore the rock constructs holding the Demons in place, before Ochako quickly dashed to him, standing on her tippy toes, to hug him.
“Thank you thank you thank you!!” Ochako said, finally letting her few tears roll down her face.
Izuku shuttered, not quite used to being hugged by a Demon. Mostly because it had never happened before.
“Y-Yeah. It’s nothing.” Izuku said before getting a chance to properly look at the Demoness.
She had chocolate brown hair, similarly colored cute eyes, round cheeks, and permanent pink blush marks which contrasted with her paler skin. Like all Demons, she had wings and two small red horns, and wore a dress specifically designed by higher ups in the underworld.
“Thank you. Now who was that asshole?” Shinso asked.
“Neito Monoma. An Angel who can copy the Angelic spells of those around him, one at a time. He had been using a psychokinesis spell, one that allows you to effectively turn your mind into a weapon, moving the surroundings and protecting yourself from mental attacks.” Izuku explained.
“Well that explains why my spell didn’t work on him. But why didn’t he attack you? He seems stubborn enough to do so.” Shinso continued.
“That’s cause he knew he’d lose.” Ochako chimed in with a smile that contributed to her adorableness that Izuku could only try to deny.
Unfortunately, her smile quickly faded.
“Oh shoot! If Dad finds out what happened, he’ll never let me go into the Human World again! I can’t lose it all like this! Not to some prick like that!” Ochako began panicking.
“H-Hey, language!” Izuku chimed in, voice sounding oddly cute, which Ochako similarly could only try to deny from.
“I’m sorry it’s just… this was all I’ve been hoping for, and it’s been great! Seeing this world, I wish I got the chance to continue it! And you… you can. You’re an Angelic Warrior. You visit the Human World every day.” Ochako sighed.
Izuku scratched the back of his head before considering something.
“Well… I could help you with it.” He said.
Ochako turned over, confused.
“What?” Ochako asked.
“I know a Healing spell that can hide that guy’s wounds, so nobody’s notice. And in case anything like this happens again, I can come along with you to protect you myself! I’m strong enough to protect just about anyone, Angel or Demon!” Izuku said.
Now it was Ochako’s turn to shudder. The young Demoness never thought she’d ever seen an Angel like this one before.
“T-Thank you. I really appreciate that Mr…?” Ochako asked.
“Izuku Midoriya.” Izuku said, reaching down to pull out his own spellbook, and began healing Shinso.
Shinso watched as Izuku healed him, noticing how Izuku and Ochako never broke eye contact with one another. Quickly picking on the context clues and details of the situation.
“Please don’t tell me I’m going to be watching these two pining for each other for the rest of my time guarding…” the male Demon mumbled to himself.
