“gwen!” lindsay shouted from all the way from her room, startling gwen who had just awoken from a nap.
“wha- huh?” gwen groggily answered, her vision somewhat blurry. once she could properly see again, she found lindsay hovering over her, jumping up and down like a cute little bunny.
still half-asleep, gwen chuckled as she sat up. “what’s got you so excited?”
“i need to show something!” lindsay squealed, her voice high enough to crack all their windows. good thing gwen loved her voice though.
“alright, hit me.”
so lindsay did. she hit gwen in the face, leaving a faint, red handprint against her cheek. the actual impact itself didn’t hurt that bad, but the shock from it did.
“ow, what was that for?!” gwen exclaimed, rubbing her cheek.
lindsay just looked at her confused. “but you said to hit you, so i did.”
oh, right. gwen had forgotten that lindsay was a bit slow at times. she didn’t mind though.
“i mean like, go ahead,” gwen explained, watching guilt wash over her girlfriend’s face.
“oh, babe, i’m so sorry!” lindsay quickly pressed a soft kiss to where she hit her. “i didn’t mean it, i’m sorry!”
“it’s ok, i forgive you,” gwen reassured. “now, what is it that you wanted to show me?”
“oh, right!”
grabbing gwen’s head, lindsay leaned in, pressing her eye against gwen’s. what in the world was she doing?
“um, lindsay?” gwen said, a little scared about what was about to happen. “what is this?”
“just trust me on this! i saw it online!” lindsay reassured, though, it wasn’t really that reassuring to gwen.
“alright…”
adjusting her hand placement, lindsay beamed. “ok, now start blinking!”
so gwen did, and lindsay did as well, feeling her girlfriend’s eyelash brush against her skin. it tickled, and gwen couldn’t help but laugh at the stupidity. lindsay laughed along, and gwen felt her smile only grow. god, she was perfect, so amazingly perfect.
“isn’t that so cute!” lindsay giggled as she pulled away. “they’re called butterfly kisses! i saw this other couple do it, and i just had to do it with you!”
gwen smiled, her heart warming up with joy. it was nice seeing her girlfriend so happy, but she had a better idea in mind; and she was sure that lindsay would feel the same.
“yeah, that was cute, but i think i’d rather actually kiss you.”
