Somewhere in Mexico
"Any other errands?" Dalton asked dryly
"I'm out of eggs" quipped Patricia hopefully, trying to lighten the mood after the mission had gotten overly complicated. Dalton laughed and finished his pre-flight checks trying to get them out of Mexico as quickly as possible. Just as he was getting ready to taxi the plane he caught a look at Jaz staring out the window looking angry, angrier than she should have been looking for what was ultimately a successful mission bugging Booth and killing Urzua.
"What's going on Jaz?" he asked knowing that he could be walking into her snapping nothing at him and making for a long flight home instead she actually answered him.
"Some asshole just tried to kill my cousin multiple times" she bit out still trying to comprehend the news she just found out. "She's in the hospital in Austin recovering but its pretty serious"
The plane and her team were quiet around her knowing Jaz didn't talk about her family ever. Dalton took a deep breath and sighed slightly "Well Austin isn't too far, do you think your cousin is up for visitors?"
Jaz gave him one of those secret sly smiles of hers in thanks and Dalton knew he had made the right choice in asking even though he knew no one was supposed to know they were in North America. He figured it was worth the hassel of smoothing it over with Patricia just to make Jaz smile.

Austin, Texas
Marjan was resting after her ordeal wishing that some one from her family could have made it, Cap and her team were great, even if they hovered a bit too much for her liking, but they weren't family. As she stared out the window wishing she heard a knock on her door and just as she was about to call out for the 100th time Cap I'm fine she heard a voice so much like her own cry out, "Mouse?"
Blinking back tears she turned her head and whispered "Jazzy, is that really you or am I still hallucinating?"
"It's really me"
"How? Why? How? You aren't exactly local"
From behind Jaz a male voice rumbled "we had a bit of time, and your cousin was apparently in the mood for some tex-mex"
Marjan craned her neck to see around her cousin and caught sight of a bearded blonde holding bags of takeout. At her raised eyebrow Jaz blushed slightly and the guy and then said "Amir helped me find a halal tex-mex place if you can believe it"
With further raised eyebrows and a pointed whisper Marjan slyly said "blondie over here doesn't look Muslim or like he knows how to find a good halal place"
Jaz blushed even further clarifying with a shake of her head, "this is Top, Captain Adam Dalton, Amir is one of our team but we figured you wouldn't want a whole bunch of guys you didn't know staring at you."
Marjan gave Jaz a knowing look just in time for her Captain to knock on the door and she knew she would have to tease her cousin later.
"Hey Marjan I heard you were awake and might want some visitors but it looks like you already have some" Owen said in a questioning tone.
"This is my cousin Jaz and her partner Captain Adam Dalton" Marjan introduced with a smirk knowing it was technically correct and would serve to tease Jaz. Jaz was now glaring while Adam just shook his head knowing that if she was anything like Jaz she was trouble. Owen laughed gathering that there was a story there but knowing better than to pry, instead he responded "I guess I'll call the Paul and tell him to try and have everyone stand down so you can visit with your family"
"Sorry, sir, didn't mean to interrupt your team getting to visit with her, but this was about the only time we had" Dalton spoke up while Jaz continued to glare at Marjan before adding "we just came to share a quick bite with Marjan and then we have to be off"
"No worries and it was nice to meet you both, I hope you can stay longer next time and meet everyone"

In an airplane over the Atlantic
Top was trying to describe Marjan to the team "she looked just like Jaz" turning to her asking "are you sure she isn't your twin sister? I've never met cousins who look so much alike"
"Our family used to tease and call us identical cousins, personally I don't see it at all"
"Well I look forward to making our way back to Austin to judge for myself" piped up McG with a wink
"Fat chance McG, Amir is much more her type" and turning to the man in question Jaz added "she really appreciated the halal texmex, apparently I worried her when I came with food until I told her you had picked it"
Amir blushed not knowing how to respond. With that the team returned to their thoughts and Jaz gave Dalton one last smile of thanks.
