Benjamin raised a good kid, Jadzia thinks, the kind who knows he can ask for help when he needs it, even for small things like homework.
“That’s it?” Jake grins when they’re finished, and his mouth seemingly moves before his mind when he adds, “Thanks, old man.” He freezes. “Uhm. I meant-“
No doubt where he got that from. He says it with the same cadence and familiarity Benjamin does. Jadzia smiles.
“I don’t mind,” she says. “Call it a family privilege.” Jake’s grin is cautious first, and then huge.
He even smiles like his father, Jadzia can’t help noticing.
