The Curious Misadvertures of (Y/N) Addams - First Year: The First Witch

Summary:

The Addams’ were once a well respected family in the wizarding community, part of the Sacred Twenty-nine, from a long line of pureblooded wizards and witches. But that was over a century ago. Six generations ago, the family was outcast by their wizarding community, forced to live as and with muggles. Why? To put it simply, they lost their magic - they were all born squibs.

Until now.

(Y/N) Addams, receives a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The new generation of magic-wielders has no idea what it’s in for; something strange; something dark.

So get ready for a new Hogwarts story. It’s creepy, it’s kooky, mysterious, and spooky...

First Year

Welcome to the first years’ introduction of The Curious Misadventures of (Y/N) Addams. Here you will find all you need to know before you dig in.

First of all: this series is based on my headcannon - the Addams family is a family of pureblooded wizards and witches who lost their magic and became squibs.

Makes complete sense, right? The mysterious money, the strange home, the disembodied hand.

Second: (Y/N) Addams is the eldest daughter of the household. I’ve decided to leave out as few descriptions as possible so that, rather than her looking like Gomez and Morticia, you can imagine yourself here. If you like.

And third: given that this story follows (Y/N) during her time at Hogwarts, you should expect some strange Addams behaviour from her character. So my dear readers, if you’re not the kooky type then you should stop reading now. You may not be strange enough to join this crowd.

Also, being that (Y/N) is a first year, there is no love interest (yet ;)) But you’ll find out who that might be in the future.

So - have fun and embrace your inner Addams as you follow (Y/N) on her first year journey through Hogwarts.

Oh, and beware of the banshees on your way in...
