Chapter Text
It was September the first, while everything seems new to the first-year students. The air was crackled with a sweet enthusiasm, a symphony of spirited footsteps and animated conversations weaving a tapestry of audacious optimism. When the sun draped its golden tendrils upon the eager faces, a mysterious, old fashion train in the depth of King’s Cross Station was already waiting for the students to settle down. Yet Harry Snape walked towards the wall between platform nine and ten. His owl Hedwig was seemingly excited too, shaking every feather to make them clean enough for the ceremony. Beside him stood another young boy, changed into robes already, waiting for Harry to move. Suddenly Harry rushed into the wall with implacability-
The other side of the wall was extremely different from the crowded King’s Cross Station. Bit early for school it is, but Harry was glad that he could spend the time waiting with Draco Malfoy, His best friend and his father’s godson, instead of waiting at the platform alone. His parents literally dropped him off to the Malfoy Manor because they actually thought sending Harry to school was a waste of time.
“Harry, I really think we should get on the train before other mudbloods… I mean, before the other students come… in case it’s too crowded and find a good spot.” Said Draco.
Harry surveyed around. Platform nine and three quarters were filled of children wearing those silly muggle dresses. He could barely see one robe. Younger brothers and sisters were yelling and shouting for going to Hogwarts, which are really annoying somehow. “I think you get the point,” said Harry, “It’s way too noisy out here. Let’s go… See you, Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy!”
Harry waved goodbye to the Lucius and Narcissa Malfoy, and then followed Draco into the train. Draco was right that nobody was on the train at that time, except for one student.
“Isn’t it Neville LONG-bottom?” Draco was thinking about the same thing. They all have seen the picture on those front covers. Neville Longbottom, the one who survived under arrest of the Dark Lord. They say that Neville himself was gifted by dark, dark power.
“That’s stupid, how could anyone beat the Dark Lord by not using any weapons? Longbottom couldn’t even say a full sentence when the Dark Lord came to kill him. I’d suggest that somebody made those rubbish news up. Famous Longbottom, Saint Longbottom.”
Draco spat fiercely.
“Anyways, let’s see if Longbottom would be sorted in Hufflepuff, then we’ll know whether that’s true or not.” Said Harry.
“Nice one, Harry. We will see if Longbottom is put into Hufflepuff.” A voice came from behind them, obviously amused by Harry’s words. Harry looked back and saw Pansy Parkinson, “Come on, we really need to find a spot.” Said Pansy.
“At least Neville won’t be put into Slytherin. All the bad wizards and witches came from Slytherin.” A girl next to them exclaimed loudly.
“Did you guys feel a sense of… mudbloods? Mudbloods and pure-blood degenerates?” Asked Pansy, revealing nothing but disdain.
“Indeed, let’s go.” Said Harry.
