Mistake

Summary:

Minho opened the link without answering Changbin, curious about why he had sent him the link to a dispatch article. When he saw what it was about, he felt as if the ground had slipped from beneath his feet. His heartbeat rang in his ears as he scrolled down, reading the article. When his eyes landed on the picture, he almost dropped his phone.

It was Jisung. His arms wrapped around some girl. His Jisung. Kissing a girl. Instead of him.

Work Text:

"Stray Kids Han Jisung and Unknown Female Caught Kissing Behind Cafe Near JYPE Building!"

"What the fuck?" Chan whispered to himself, after reading the headline of the article sent to him by their manager. He opened the article and skimmed over the words, thinking it is fake information as usual. This wouldn't be the first time a false article was made up about one of the kids. But this was dispatch and their manager had sent it to him. As he scrolled down, his eyes landed on the thing he had dreaded to see.

There were pictures. The girl's face could not be seen but the boy.. It was clear that the boy in the picture was none other than Han Jisung. Chan took a deep breath and called their manager.

*****

Han Jisung was watching a documentary about planets when he heard a knock on his door. Smiling to himself, he got up and opened the door.

"Hello Hyungie! What brings you here?", he asked.

"Movie? I brought snacks." replied Minho, waving the small bag of snacks in front of Jisung.

"Sure, I'll set it up!"

It was 9:32 PM when Minho arrived. 9:54 PM when they had settled in Jisung’s bed and started the movie. 10:30 PM when Jisung’s phone started buzzing. 10:46 PM when a fed up Minho told (yelled at) Jisung to check his phone.

Giggling, Jisung unlocked his phone, not knowing his world was about to be turned upside down. His smile was replaced by a frown when he realised what had happened. He glanced at Minho, who thankfully was still focused on the movie.

"I'll be right back, Hyung. Changbin Hyung is calling about some lyrics.", he mumbled as he got up from where he was cuddled up with Minho and left his room.

"Should I pause it?"

"No, no, I'll be right back."

He had thousands of bubble messages: some asking who the girl was, some asking if it was real, some telling people to mind their business and respect his privacy, some sad about minsung not being real.. He kept scrolling and reading their messages until he got a call from an anonymous number. Reluctantly, he answered the call.

"Hello?"

"Hello? Is this Han Jisung?" said a female voice. The voice sounded familiar but he could not place who it belonged to. He assumed it was some reporter or journalist.

"Who is this?"

"I.. Please.. I'm Sujin.." said the girl. The name did not ring any bell.

"I'm sorry, I'm not interested in any interview or whatever it is you want." Jisung said, annoyed. He was about to hang up when the girl spoke up again.

"I'm not.. I'm the girl you kissed!"

Oh. Why was she calling? Was she going to blackmail him? Jisung’s heart raced. He didn't want to kiss the girl, it was a mistake. And it was starting to seem like it was the biggest mistake of his life. He was starting to panic when the girl spoke again.

"Hello? Han Jisung?"

"What do you want?"

"Um.. I know this might sound really selfish but could you please not tell anyone it was me?"

What? He was not expecting that.

"Yeah, okay. Is that all?"

"Um yes. Thank you."

He hung up and glanced towards the door of his room. His room where Minho was waiting for him.

He couldn't face Minho, right now. He couldn't face anyone. So instead of going back to his room, he went outside. He didn't know where he was going. All he knew was that needed to get away from everyone at that time.

*****

The movie ended with Minho alone in Jisung’s bed. Minho looked at his phone. 11:46 PM. Had Jisung ditched their movie night to work with Changbin? It had almost been an hour since he was gone, his chocolate bar sitting abandoned on the bed.

Minho unlocked his phone to text Jisung, too lazy to get out of the bed and look for him. He had a lot of Bubble notifications and text messages, but that was normal so he paid it no heed. What caught his attention was a message from Changbin, asking if he was okay. The message was sent around half an hour ago. That was strange. Wasn't Jisung with Changbin? Why was Changbin asking if Minho’s okay? Was it because Jisung had ditched their movie night to work with Changbin? No, that didn't make any sense. Instead of texting Jisung, he texted Changbin.

You 11:53 PM

Why wouldn't I be okay?

Binnie 11:54 PM

Because of Jisung?

You 11:54 PM

I know how important his work is to him, why would I be mad about that?

It wasn't like we had planned the movie night and he ditched it, I just came to his room without asking about his plans.

Binnie 11:55 PM

What are you talking about, Hyung?

You haven't seen it, yet, have you?

You 11:55 PM

What are you talking about?

Binnie sent a link.

Binnie 11:56 PM

Are you in our dorm?

Minho opened the link without answering Changbin, curious about why he had sent him the link to a dispatch article. When he saw what it was about, he felt as if the ground had slipped from beneath his feet. His heartbeat rang in his ears as he scrolled down, reading the article. When his eyes landed on the picture, he almost dropped his phone.

It was Jisung. His arms wrapped around some girl. His Jisung. Kissing a girl. Instead of him. There were multiple pictures. His hands were shaking as he opened the chat with Changbin, again.

Binnie 11:56 PM

Are you in our dorm?

Binnie 12:02 AM

Hyung?

Binnie 12:23 AM

Minho Hyung?? You okay??

Minho's hands were shaking too much, he couldn't type. He pressed the call button.

"Hyung? Are you okay? Why weren't you answering?"

"I'm fine." Minho said, trying to not let his voice break. "Is Jisung with you? Are you guys at the studio?"

"No? I went home today, Hyung. Didn't Chan Hyung or Hannie tell you? Anyway, are you alright?"

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Because of Jisung?"

"What does that have to do with me? If anything, you should be asking if Jisung is okay."

"Hyung.. Nevermind. Is Jisung okay, then?"

"You should ask him, yourself. I need to go."

*****

After a long conversation with their manager, Chan had managed to convince him to let him talk with Jisung first. But there was a slight problem. Jisung was not home. He had seen him rush out of the door an hour ago and he had not returned. Neither was he picking Chan's calls. Chan was worried. He knew Jisung had anxiety and would overthink everything about this situation. He just hoped Jisung had went to the other dorm. He was about to call Minho when he heard a knock on his door.

"Lino? What are you doing here?"

"I.. He.. Jisung.." Minho said, his eyes watering. He looked towards the floor, and closed his eyes to prevent the tears from falling.

"Minho?"

Minho came inside the room and locked the door behind him. Chan walked closer towards Minho. He had always thought Minho and Jisung had something going on. He guessed he was wrong when he saw the article. Jisung wouldn't cheat on Minho. But now, looking at Minho, he thought maybe he wasn't that wrong.

"Minho, I never want to pry about anything you aren't comfortable to tell me yourself but.. Were you and Jisung.. I mean I thought you two were-"

"I thought.." He sobbed. He wiped the tear that had fallen on his cheek. He couldn't cry. "I thought he loved me." he whispered to Chan who pulled him in a hug.

Normally, he wouldn't let that happen but he had no strength left in him to push his Hyung away. And he would be lying to himself if he said he didn't need that hug.

"Oh Minho." Chan said as Minho’s sobs got louder. He couldn't help the tears streaming down his face and wetting Chan's shirt.

"I can't.. do this, Hyung.. I don't know how.. I don't know how to live without him.." Minho said, burying his face in Chan's shoulder.

Chan couldn't find the words to comfort Minho so he kept hugging him and rubbing his back, hoping that Minho would calm down. He had never seen him like this. Minho never cried. The only time he had cried in front of him was when he had been eliminated.

*****

It was past 5 in the morning when Jisung returned to the dorm and tiptoed to his room. He didn't want anyone to wake up and ask him any questions. He had around 50 missed calls from his members, most of them from Chan and nothing from Minho. A small part of him hoped Minho had fallen asleep after the movie and saw nothing about the article. His hope was shattered when he entered his room and saw no sign of Minho. The nightlight was on, the snacks were still scattered around his bed and his blanket was on the floor. The TV was still turned on, paused at the credits of the movie he was watching with Minho.

His heart sank. Minho didn't even turn off the TV before leaving. Was he mad at Jisung? Did he hate him? Was he in so much hurry to get out of Jisung’s room that he couldn't be bothered to switch off the TV and the lights?

Jisung walked towards the bed when he tripped on something. It was Minho's phone. He even left his phone here? Jisung picked it up and unlocked it. His heart almost stopped when he saw the phone open to the article about himself.

*****

Minho had fallen asleep on Chan's bed after Chan refused to let him go back to his dorm. Chan was sitting on the other side of the bed, staring at his phone and contemplating what to do. He was going crazy with everything that had happened in the span of few hours and having no one to talk to about it or get any advice from. It was almost 6 in the morning. Would anyone even be awake to talk to him?

He opened Bubble despite being afraid of what stay had to say about the whole situation. As he expected, there were mixed reactions on the Bubble community. He also checked Twitter and it was much worse than Bubble. People were upset about their ships not being real, mostly Minsung. Chan glanced at Minho who was fortunately fast asleep, his eyes swollen from all the crying. A lot of people were speculating about who the girl was while some fans were telling others to respect their privacy. He kept scrolling through various social media until he heard someone trying to open his door.

Right, Minho had locked it. He probably didn't want anyone else to see him like that. There was a knock. Chan glanced at Minho. It was really obvious that he had been crying. Another knock and a small voice.

"Chan Hyung?"

It was Jisung. Chan quickly grabbed his wolfchan eye mask from his drawer and placed it on Minho's eyes, trying his best not to wake him. Then, he went to open the door.

He was greeted by another face with red, swollen eyes.

"Han? Where have you been?!" Chan whispered.

"I.. I'm sorry." Jisung replied in a small voice. "Can I please come in?"

Chan glanced back at Minho on the bed.

"I think it would be better if we go to your room, instead."

"Please, I don't want to go to my room." Jisung said with pleading eyes.

"Sung.." Chan glanced back at Minho again. He sighed and stepped back to let Jisung in. As soon as Jisung’s eyes fell on Minho's sleeping body, his eyes widened.

"Oh.. I.. You're right, let's go to my room." He said and rushed out of Chan's room. Chan sighed and followed.

*****

"Where have you been, Han?"

"I was just out."

"Okay. Why didn't you pick up my calls?"

Jisung’s eyes watered. Chan put a hand on his shoulder.

"Hannie, you know you can talk to me, right?"

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry. I messed up. I.. I messed up."

"Oh, Jisung. You should never apologize for something like that. You're a human, you have the right to be with whoever you want."

"But I don't want.. I was just.. Anyway, I should've been careful but I.. And now.. What will happen now, Hyung?"

Chan squeezed Jisung’s shoulder and gestured towards the bed.

"Look, Hannie. Everyone makes mistakes, okay? Don't worry, we'll figure something out. As long as Hyung is here, you don't need to worry." Chan wiped Jisung’s tears and sat him on his bed. "Now, come on. You need to sleep. Have you seen the time?"

"You're also awake." said Jisung, making Chan roll his eyes.

"One of my kids was outside and not picking my calls. Of course, I'm awake." Jisung let out a small giggle at how dad-like Chan was but started frowning again after a few seconds.

"Why is Lino Hyung in your room?"

"Oh. He um.. I was worried about you so I called him to ask about you but you weren't with him either so.. We were both trying to figure out where you were and uh.. I guess he fell asleep because he was tired."

"But he didn't even call me?" Jisung mumbled.

"Hmm?"

"Nothing.. Hyung.. I love you."

Chan smiled. "I love you, too, Hannie. Now go to sleep."

"But what about-"

"We will talk when you wake up."

"Okay. Can you stay here?"

"Of course, Jisung."

*****

Minho woke up alone in Chan's room. He pulled off the eye mask he didn't remember wearing and looked around. It seemed like Chan had not slept in his room last night. Last night.. Suddenly, everything that happened came rushing back to him. He shouldn't be there, he should go back to his dorm before Jisung wakes up. If Jisung is even home. He checked the time. It was around 11 in the morning. Surely, no one in this dorm would be up at this time, he thought.

He got up from Chan's bed and slightly opened the door to check if anyone was in the living room. When he heard no noise, he assumed everyone was still asleep and left the room. He managed to quietly escape to the front door when the door opened, revealing Changbin. Great.

"Hyung?"

"Changbin. Why are you here at this time?"

"I could ask you the same thing."

"I was just leaving." Minho mumbled and rushed out the door.

"Wait, Hyung!" he heard Changbin say but he couldn't stay. He had to get out of there before Jisung or Chan showed up.

Once he successfully managed to dodge Felix in the kitchen and reached his room, he locked the door and slumped on the floor. His mind wandered back to Jisung. He closed his eyes when they started watering again. He wondered where Jisung had gone. Had he gone to meet the girl? Who was she, even? Was she another idol? Some random girl? Was she someone he knew? Was she just a one night stand or was she someone Jisung had feelings for? Was she his girlfriend? But Jisung was his best friend. Why didn't he tell him about her? Maybe he was afraid of his reaction. Maybe he knew Minho liked him and didn't know how to tell him. Maybe the girl wanted to keep it a secret.

His head hurt from all the thinking and crying but he couldn't stop himself. He fished in his pocket for his phone but it wasn't there. Oh. He had left it in Jisung’s room. He couldn't go there to get it. Now, he had nothing to distract himself with. He closed his eyes and let the thoughts of Jisung and the girl consume his mind.

*****

"Lix, did you close Hyung's door?" Seungmin asked Felix as he entered the kitchen.

"No?"

"He must be back, then."

"Should we try to talk to him?" asked Jeongin who was helping Felix with breakfast.

"I don't know, Innie." Seungmin sighed. "The only person who he talks to when he is upset is the reason he is upset."

Felix frowned. "We have to try, we can't leave him like this."

"Lix Hyung, why don't you try to talk to him? He wouldn't snap at you." Jeongin suggested.

*****

"Han? Han, wake up." Chan said, softly tapping Jisung’s shoulder. "Jisung.. Wake up, please."

Jisung slowly stirred and blinked his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Sung, but we need to talk."

Jisung nodded and rubbed his eyes.

"Manager Hyung wanted to talk to you directly but I convinced him to let me talk to you, first.." Chan started. Jisung sat up in the bed and stared at his hands, not looking up at Chan.

"I just want you to know that whatever you decide, I will support you and-"

Suddenly, the door slammed open and Changbin stormed in. Jisung whimpered and squeezed the blanket.

"Bin! You scared us!"

"Sorry.." Changbin said, calming down after looking at Jisung’s state.

"Anyway, I was just saying that you do not need to be afraid and do anything you don't want to do, okay?"

Jisung nodded.

"What do you mean by not doing anything he doesn't want to do?" Changbin asked, frowning.

"I don't know, Changbin.. Manager Hyung said Jisung and I have a meeting with the company, today.. And they have to make a statement to the public about the article.."

Jisung just sank down into his blanket as Chan and Changin talked about his situation. He wished he could just run away. He wished he could run to Minho and cuddle with him. Instead, he was hugging his own blanket close because it smelled like Minho.

"Jisung?"

Chan and Changbin were looking at him. They must have been talking to him but he had zoned out. Lowering the blanket from his face, he apologized for not paying attention. Changbin was now also sat on his bed. He wondered if Hyunjin would also come in, at this point.

"Look, I really don't want to ask.. But they are going to ask so I think its better if we have this conversation, first. So that you're prepared."

"What do you mean, Chan Hyung?" Jisung asked.

"Well.. Who is she?" Chan asked, causing Changbin to frown and Jisung to once again sink into the blanket. "Sung, I'm really sorry. I would never ask but.. They're going to ask, too. Wouldn't it be better to talk to us, first?"

Jisung nodded.

"Is she someone we know?" Chan asked, softly.

Jisung shook his head.

"Okay, is she an idol or trainee?" Jisung shook his head, again.

"Okay, well. Is she important to you?" Jisung shook his head, much faster this time.

"Okay, okay. Could you tell me what happened?"

Tell him what happened? But that would mean admitting things he didn't want to admit about himself, telling them things he never said out loud, not even to himself.

"Do I have to?"

"No." Changbin said, before Chan could speak.

"Bin-"

"No, Hyung. They don't need to know anything Han doesn't want to tell them. Didn't you just say he shouldn't do anything he doesn't want to do?"

"I.. You're right. Sorry for pushing you, Sung." Chan squeezed Jisung’s shoulder. "Will you be okay for the meeting, today?"

Jisung nodded. "I just want to get it over with."

*****

"Hyung? Lino Hyung?" Felix had been knocking the door for a few minutes but got no response from Minho.

"Should I get the keys?" He whispered to himself.

"Hyung? What happened?" Jeongin asked when he saw Felix standing outside Minho's door with his breakfast.

"He won't open the door, he's not even saying anything. I'm worried."

"Maybe he's sleeping?"

"He's not that much of a heavy sleeper.. Should I get the keys, Innie?"

"Maybe we should call Chan Hyung?" Jeongin suggested with a worried look on his face as Seungmin joined them.

"I think it's better if we leave him be." Seungmin said.

"Seungmin, we can't just-"

"I'm fine." came a muffled voice from Minho’s room.

Felix's eyebrows shot up.

"Hyung! Are you okay? Please open the door."

"I want to be alone."

"But-"

"Stop, Felix. He's not going to open the door." Seungmin interrupted.

"Seungmin, but I don't think he's okay. He hasn't even eaten anything!" Felix cried.

Seungmin sighed. "Hyung, we're leaving breakfast outside your door, please eat it. If you don't take it, we will have to open the door, ourselves. We don't want to do anything to make you uncomfortable so please.."

After a pause, Seungmin nudged Jeongin and Felix and went to the living room. A reluctant Felix and Jeongin followed him.

*****

"Who was the girl?"

"No one important." Chan replied for Jisung.

"We still need to know who she was, Mr. Chan."

"She's not anyone famous or important so I don't think that's necessary." Chan replied, calmly.

"But how do we know she won't use this for her benefit? She could blackmail Jisung, she could blackmail the entire group."

Chan frowned. He didn't have an answer to that. He glanced at Jisung who was chewing on his lip.

"Well?"

"She won't do that." Jisung spoke, for the first time in the meeting.

"And how do you know that, Mr. Jisung?"

"She called me and asked me not to reveal who she is. She won't tell anyone."

"You didn't tell me that." Chan mumbled to himself.

"Okay. We still need to make a statement. I am assuming it was a one time thing if she is asking not to reveal herself. Is that right, Mr. Jisung?"

"Y-yes."

"Okay, that makes things easier. But please be more careful, next time. Hopefully, there won't be a next time."

Chan frowned as Jisung slowly nodded.

*****

"Jisungie! What happened?" Hyunjin dashed towards the door when he saw Chan and Jisung arrive.

"It's okay, they're just going to make a pointless statement about respecting idols' privacy." Chan replied as Hyunjin pulled Jisung into a hug. Jisung sunk into Hyunjin's arms.

"They didn't force him to talk about it, did they?" Changbin asked.

Chan shook his head. "Don't worry." Chan took out his phone to call Minho. He hadn't had time to talk to him but he was worried about the events of last night. He frowned when he saw Felix's message about Minho's behaviour.

"Everything okay?" Changbin asked, as Hyunjin dragged Jisung to his room, asking him to look at his newest painting. He guessed Hyunjin was trying to distract Jisung.

"It's Minho.. Felix said he's locked in his room and won't let anyone in. Seungmin had to threaten him to get him to eat breakfast."

Changbin sighed. "I really thought these two idiots had it figured out, you know? I guess it was silly of me to expect them to actually talk about their feelings."

"What do you mean, Bin? You think they have feelings for each other?"

"Isn't it obvious, Hyung?"

"But then.. Why would he kiss that girl?"

Changbin smiled.

"Sometimes, we do stupid things in order to try to suppress our feelings."

*****

Jisung had managed to escape Hyunjin after 2 long hours of being shown countless paintings and sketches. How did that boy even have the time to do all that with their schedules? He came to his room which was in a better state than before. He assumed Changbin had something to do with that and smiled. Then he saw Minho's phone on his desk and his smile dropped.

Right, he needed to return that. And face Minho. Maybe he could get Chan to return the phone? But something about Minho sleeping in Chan's bed instead of his last night bothered Jisung enough to not give the phone to Chan.

"What are you doing, Sung?" asked Changbin who was suddenly at his door.

"Um.. Lino Hyung forgot this here." He waved the phone.

"He was here?"

Jisung nodded. "We were watching a movie.. Last night.. Before the.. before it happened."

Changbin nodded.

"But.. He called me to ask where you were? I thought he'd left after that."

"He- he did?"

"Yeah, he thought you were with me, for some reason."

Right, that's what he told Minho. Maybe that's why he was upset with Jisung? Because he lied to him. Not because of the article. Maybe he hadn't even seen the article. No, that was ridiculous. All of the members had seen it.

"Right, sorry for that."

"It's alright, Jisung. But.. If you need to talk to someone, I'm here."

Jisung looked at Changbin. Changbin smiled and squeezed his shoulder before leaving the room.

*****

Jisung stood outside the other dorm, trying to muster up the courage to go inside when the door suddenly opened, revealing Jeongin.

"Oh. Jisung, Hyung? Why are you standing here? Come in!" He said, dragging Jisung inside.

Once they were in the living room, he got attacked with hugs from all the residents of that dorm. Except one.

"We were so worried about you!"

"Why didn't you answer our calls or texts?"

"I was about to go see you when I opened the door and found you already standing there, Hyung!"

Jisung felt guilty for ignoring the younger members.

"I'm sorry, guys. I love you, all." He said, tearing up.

"Oh, Hannie, we love you, too!" Felix pulled him into a hug while Jeongin rubbed his back and Seungmin placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Is.. Is Hyung home?" he asked, once they'd all calmed down and Jeongin had forced him to drink two glasses of water.

They all looked at each other, not answering him. Seungmin sighed.

"What's wrong? Is he okay?" asked Jisung, alarmed.

"He's fine. Actually, we don't know that.. Um.." Felix started.

"He's not letting us in and won't come out, Hyung. Seungmin forced him to take the breakfast tray."

"Oh. Maybe I shouldn't have come.." Jisung mumbled.

"No. You're the only one who can get him to come out of there. Or well, go in there." Seungmin stated.

"Er.. I don't think-"

"Please, Jisung. He came home around noon and has been in there ever since. We don't even know if he ate the breakfast he took inside. And he's barely said two sentences to us."

"Okay. Okay, Lix. I'll try."

*****

Minho's phone buzzed with Chan's name. Jisung looked at it, guiltily before placing it back in his pocket. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

He waited a few minutes. No answer.

Another knock.

Still silence.

He sighed.

"L-Lino? Hyung? Please open the door." he said in a small voice. Minho's phone kept buzzing in his pocket. He knocked again.

"You don't have to open the door.. But.. Please.. at least, say something.. I'm worried about you." Jisung’s voice broke at the last part of his sentence. He kept knocking and knocking as tears streamed down his face.

"I'm s-sorry, H-hyung.. P-please.. I.. I need you.." he said, sobbing.

Suddenly, he heard the door unlock. He opened it and went inside. Minho's room was.. Perfect. Everything was exactly where it should be.. Except for Minho, himself. He stood in front of Jisung with his back facing him. He was wearing Jisung’s hoodie. The same hoodie he had left him in, yesterday. Jisung glanced around and saw the breakfast tray on the table, untouched.

"Lino?" Jisung whispered, too afraid of Minho's reaction to speak any louder.

Minho didn't reply or look at him. Did he hate him that much? Why had he even locked him up in his room? Was he that hurt by Jisung not telling him everything?

"Y-you forgot your phone."

"Is that all?" Minho spoke.

Jisung didn't know what to say. That was definitely not all but he was too afraid to say anything more. He stood there, frozen, taking deep breaths to calm himself. He couldn't have a panic attack, right now.

"Do you hate me?" he whispered. That caused Minho to look at him. Jisung flinched. Minho's eyes were red and swollen and there were dark circles under them.

When Minho looked at Jisung, his tense body relaxed. Jisung’s eyes were also swollen and he had fresh tears on his cheeks. His lips were trembling and his body shaking.

"I could never hate you." said Minho.

"Then.. Why did you leave?"

"You're the one who left, Jisung."

Jisung. He called him Jisung. He never calls him Jisung. It's always Jagi or some nickname: Hannie, Jisungie, Sungie. Not Jisung. Jisung looked to the floor.

"I'm sorry.. I got scared."

"Are you still scared?"

Jisung nodded.

"Do you.. want to talk about it?" asked Minho, as much as it pained him to think about Jisung talking about some girl he possibly loved.

Jisung nodded, again. He decided it was time to tell his Hyung about his feelings. Even if it meant losing him. He couldn't take it anymore. It was because of these feelings that he had stupidly kissed that girl, anyway. He closed his eyes and took a step forward.

"Can I get a hug?"

Minho's face softened as he pulled Jisung into a hug. He felt guilty for not talking to Jisung, earlier. It was selfish of him to push everyone away because of his feelings. Jisung didn't owe him anything. He never promised him anything. If he had read his actions wrong, that was on him. He knew he couldn't live without Jisung. But a life with Jisung as a friend sounded much better than a life without Jisung. So he took Jisung into his arms and rubbed his back to comfort him. He must have been so scared about the whole situation and he didn't even have his best friend to comfort him.

*****

"Hey Felix, is Minho alright, now?"

"I'm not sure but Jisung managed to get inside his room."

"Jisung went to see Minho?"

"Yeah? What happened to Minho Hyung, Chan?"

Chan sighed. "I can't tell you, sorry. Just make sure he's fine for me, please. I would come myself but I'm busy dealing with the company."

"What are they going to do?"

"Don't worry, they're just going to make a generic statement. Did Jisung talk to you guys about what happened?"

"Not really, we just tried to comfort him."

"Okay. How long has he been in Minho's room?"

"I think about half an hour."

"Alright. Well, let me know of how Minho is, as soon as you know, Lix."

"Of course, Hyung. See you, later."

*****

Minho and Jisung were now sat in Minho's bed. Jisung had pleaded with Minho to eat something and Minho could never say no to his.. to Jisung. So there he was, eating the cold breakfast Felix had brought him hours ago, too stubborn to reheat anything or get something else from the kitchen. Once he was done eating, Jisung started talking.

"Won't you ask who she is?"

Minho blinked. "Do you want to tell me?"

Jisung shook his head. "I don't even know, myself. I was.. It was stupid of me to kiss her."

Minho tried not to let his expression show his true feelings.

"It's just.. I guess I was trying to convince myself I'm not.. who I am. She was right there, flirting with me and well.." He paused.

"You don't have to tell me if you're uncomfortable, Jisung."

Hearing Minho call hin Jisung made him snap.

"I need to tell you! I pushed her away after like two seconds! But I guess that was enough time for some stupid pap to take those stupid photos!" Jisung yelled.

"It's okay, Jisung. It's not your fault, you're allowed to-"

"Stop calling me that!"

"Huh?"

"You keep calling me Jisung!" Jisung said with tears in his eyes.

"I.. That's your name."

"But you never call me by my name." he whispered, wiping the tears away.

"Oh.. Sorry.."

"No, I'm sorry. I.. I just.. I have so many feelings inside of me, threatening to burst out and after.. After everything that happened, I just.. I want to get rid of these feelings. I want to.. I want to let them out."

Minho hesitated before putting his hand on top of Jisung’s. "You can tell me anything."

"I.. I'm.. I don't like her. I don't like any girl. I can't."

Minho's eyes widened. Was Jisung saying what he thought he was saying? Minho felt like someone was squeezing his heart.

"You don't?" he whispered.

"I'm gay." Jisung whispered and buried his face in his hands.

Minho felt as if his world had started spinning.

"And- and I like someone.. I was trying to deny my feelings because it.. It hurts, Hyung. To think they could never be mine. So.. I did that.."

"Oh, Hannie, why didn't you tell me?" Minho said, pulling Jisung’s hands away from his face and into his own hands.

"I was scared. I thought maybe.. you will hate me."

"Hannie, I told you. I could never hate you." He squeezed Jisung’s hands and smiled. "And I'm sure the person you like doesn't hate you either. Did you try to tell him?"

Jisung pouted. "I'm trying to tell him, now."

Minho's heart skipped a beat.

"Huh?"

"S-sorry, I should go." Jisung said, freeing his hands from Minho's. He tried to get off the bed but Minho grabbed his arm.

"Sungie.. Does that mean what I think it does?"

Jisung chewed on his lip.

Minho stood up and pulled Jisung into a hug.

"Sungie, please tell me."

"It's you I like." Jisung replied, voice trembling.

Minho squeezed him tighter.

"You idiot.. Why didn't you just tell me?" Minho's voice broke. Was he dreaming? Did Han Jisung seriously just tell him he liked him? After everything that happened yesterday, Han Jisung liked him?

"I was afraid you'd hate me." Jisung replied, still hesitant to wrap his arms around Minho.

"I told you, Sungie. I could never hate you."

"I know.. I just didn't want to lose you."

"Sungie.." Minho broke off the hug and looked into Jisung’s eyes. "I love you. I love you so much, I can't imagine a life without you."

Jisung blinked his tears away. "You love me?" Jisung asked, unsure if Minho meant it in a romantic way or not.

Minho smiled. "I've been in love with you ever since you held my hand for the first time."

Jisung smiled back at him. They would be okay.
