Work Text:
Lee Geon hated the New Year, why? It's because all the unfinished work that was meant for him, came bombarding to his slave/wife. He couldn't even officially start the day until Hugo Otters brought a tall stack in his office, temporarily banned him from entering. He had to spend most of his time among his niece and nephew who invited him, with a defeated huff as he accompanied them. However, he didn't leave without ordering a few(all) household Gods to guard not just the house, but also his contracted wife. Though he wanted to start the day with small raids, the ascended god had another idea in mind. So they first make their way to some other faction's HQ, the 13th way of greeting has now started.
Hugo Otters is swamped with work, each papers were either complain or request for subjugation. A headache came as soon as he skimmed through all of the papers before locking himself in a pocket space. Though it wasn't intent to become his office, he was able to finish every paper that took him from months to hours. But it is New Year, and Christmas was skipped because of the ongoing war of ex-Saint Gisselle Lawrence. So he got even more compromised since his friend only spent the thanksgiving and vowed to let him have fun on New Year. He already knows that his children wanted to spend more time on their idol, the saint won't take it away from them. Nevertheless, he needs to finish all paperwork before the end of the New Year. So he starts by sorting which ones are scam, then removes anything that could steal his works. Then proposals of a possible exchange program with Virgo faction, then Scorpio faction about the material exchange.
He stopped for a quick break, then power nap before continuing his work. The fall-out because of the war and demands about compensation, charities and requests for extra people to help them. New contracts that could be one-side benefitions, thank you letters and gifts. Threats and more threats, repeat and do the same again. He opened his door just to remove his finished stacks of paper, which folded themselves to paper cranes and flew off. This continues every other hour, making his guards distracted while watching the flying origami. It is almost lunch since he dropped the last batch and worked on many more, sneaking snacks and refreshers before repeating the cycle again. He almost thought that he wouldn't make it, keyword almost. Shaking the thoughts away before looking at the towers of unfinished work, with a new cup of joe he continues work.
Yooha and Sungjae watched as their idol trash some of the HQ of different factions, even the fight between some Saint like James Lewis and Sophia was entertaining. They bought a lot of things from the cheap shop, but they didn't see their uncle focused on someone else's craft. They watch as the blacksmith seems to pull out two different kinds of element before fusing them at the hot iron, then beaten to shape of a small dagger. Which transformed into what seems a decorative keychain, Lee Geon asked what faction the crafter. Making the siblings confused, with a wide smile that shows his fangs. “The Sagittarius Faction” surprising all three of his viewers, he then shows his tattoo of bow and arrow. The god used his skills only to see the truth, receiving blessings from both Apollo and his slave(wife). He then bought the freshly made artifact with his own money, which is the first since he had to ask someone(stealing from someone else faction) for all of his purchases. He then got the idea of how to grow his faction, with a content smile as he left the shop. The 13th God walks home and shares his idea to his Taeksoo, who has finished his work and is sleeping on the couch.
The next day, during breakfast. Lee Geon told his plans to the saint. Both children supported the idea just for their idol, Hugo agreed but raised his suspicion to his friend. Of course, the man denied and lied about the goal for his system. But in reality, he wants all of the training craftsmen and blacksmiths of the Sagittarius faction to be under his wing. The blonde saw no fault in the excuse and came to question such an event. Lee Geon plans the event to be a multitask. Each contestant must hunt, select the ingredients, and be able to produce a weapon that is worthy to handle Saint-class hunters. The field venue has to be at the Sagittarius grounds, meaning the dwelling of Dwarves. With careful consideration, the Saint added a few of his rules which the God happily agreed to. After the meal, the siblings were almost ready to latch to their hero before a painful yank stopped them. Their mother pulled each ear before pushing them to their chores, temporarily sulking before glaring at their father in envy. The two quickly put to work all the information in the office. How the area must be presented and places of flames. Materials that’s needed to procure or hunts that are easy to access. Then, the discussion to those who are participating and recommended by their faction. This goes on for hours in their small meeting room, but minutes outside the door. By the time the two were finished, a stack of papers was passed to their disciples.
