Dragonspine wasn't the warmest place around. It was definitely on the colder side. Now why did Kaeya take up a mission in dragonspine? He himself doesn't really know why he did but at the same time he hadn't seen albedo in awhile. He had been busy doing experiments and studying some different and more complex Alchemy subjects. Kaeya didn't really understand Alchemy, I mean why would he? He's had no reason to learn it, and the craft of Alchemy is no easy task to learn.
After hiking up dragonspine for what felt like forever he finally saw albedos camp in the distance. Kaeya just sighed to himself, he really can't handle the cold of dragonspine well… how ironic considering he has a cryo vision.
Kaeya then decided to go and find Albedo, where could this alchemist be hiding? Ah hah, he then spotted albedo. Albedo was currently sitting down on a rock painting some of the scenery. In Kaeya’s opinion the scenery would be nice to enjoy if he wasn’t freezing. Kaeya then heads up to albedo and says.
“Hey Albedo? How has it been lately~?” This made albedo jump, the last thing he was expecting was to hear his boyfriend at dragonspine at 9pm night. He hadn’t seen Kaeya in a while, he himself had been caught up in lots of work and hadn't been to Mondstat in a while. He missed Klee and had missed Kaeya who was now behind him.
“Kaeya? What on teyvat are you doing here? Wouldn’t you normally be at angels share right now or something?” Albedo asks.
“Well you see, I decided to take up a mission at dragonspine. Am I not allowed to miss my boyfriend?” Kaeya replies. Albedo just sighs, though it’s nice to see Kaeya. He is a reminder he should really finish up his mission in dragonspine so he can be in Mondstat for a while. Albedo then replies.
“A mission in dragonspine? What do you even have to do for it?” Albedo asks.
“I’ve just got to check for some hilichurl stuff and clear it up. Though I must admit your painting looks nice, it would be better if you painted me but you know.” Kaeya replies.
“How’s klee doing?” Albedo asks. Albedo has to admit, he wonders how Klee is doing. It’s been a while is an understatement. He’s only been gone for a month up there? But it still feels like forever.
“Hmm Klee? She’s doing fine at the moment, though lately Jean’s been struggling to stop her from blowing up stuff. Honestly I wonder where she even got the bomb addiction from.” Kaeya responds.
Atleast Klee seems to be doing well. Albedo then asks. “That's good to hear, hopefully if my studies finish up i'll be out of dragonspine by the end of the week.”
“Is the head alchemist finally coming back to Mondstat? It's been ages. Oh and also I should mention Jean wanted me to inform you that sucrose had finished what you requested of her.” Kaeya replies.
“Ah, that's good to know. Though Kaeya, you look tired. Go to sleep and we can talk in the morning.” Albedo replies.
“Where do I sleep?” Kaeya asks.
“Right, just go into the tent over there and sleep in the red sleeping bag.” Albedo responds.
Kaeya heads over to the sleeping bag whilst sighing and he says. “When you're done you better join me.”
Albedo just sighs. “If i have time i will.” He felt a little bad but the sooner he finished, the sooner he could go back to Mondstat. Albedo then just continues to paint the scenery around him, attempting to finish the painting he had started before Kaeya came.
By the time morning had come, Albedo was at his desk, studying. Did Albedo even sleep? Albedo’s habits were not the healthiest you could say. Albedo had a bunch of books all over his desk. The painting he was working on earlier was now drying on an easel near his work area. It looked amazing, well Albedo was always good at painting. If he tried, he would suck. The best you would get is stick figures.
“Albedo? Are you seriously still working?” Kaeya asks. Though Kaeya doesn't need an answer he already knows. He just wants albedo to admit it.
“I promise I'm almost done Kaeya.” Albedo replies.
Kaeya just sighs before he asks. “Well do you want to take a break and join me whilst I check the first location Jean sent me and to clear out any possible hilichurls?”
“I'll join you when you do the second location Kaeya, it's just I really need to finish this.“ Albedo responds. Kaeya hates that albedo won’t take breaks, and Kaeya wants to convince him but at the same time he wants albedo to come back to Mondstat quicker.
“Well suit yourself, I should be back in a few hours.” Kaeya then sighs as he walks off. He misses Albedo, i mean even though albedo’s right there it just feels like he's not. Hopefully he can spend more time with Albedo once he’s finished.
