Work Text:
I had just come back from a trip when I was viciously assaulted in my own home. The perpetrator was waiting in the apartment the whole time according to his confession, he had apparently copied my key.
It all started when I left for business with a client in another state. She had recently left her abusive spouse and took their child far away. I was with her for a week or so as we worked on the unique dealings of a long distance case. Her story tugged at my heartstrings, my own mother was a drug addict. My dad took my brother, sister, and I when he filed for divorce and custody. I knew they both must've been so scared in such an unsure time.
Once the paperwork had been completed and the client was in a stable place I went back home on the next morning flight. Buy the time I got home it was late and I was starved. I wanted to relax in my apartment hot tub and pig out on delivery pizza. I got neither when I was pounced on.
Everything seemed normal as I climbed up the stairs to my sixth floor apartment, the elevator had been fixed but after sitting on a plane so long I needed the workout. I put my key in my lock and heard the old familiar click. The lights were then turned on and the door closed behind me. I placed my keys and coat on the kitchen island as I continued to turn on lights and roll my suitcase closer to its final destination, my laundry room.
I heard a little creaking of floorboard but assumed it was the winter warp. It wasn't until I was flat on my ass that I discovered another person in my sanctuary.
"Where the fuck have you been pretty boy?"
"What are you doing in my apartment?!"
"Whatever the fuck I want"
I felt something round against my head. My breath staggered and my heart stopped.
"Bang"
I thought the world had gone black but I was just shutting my eyes so heard I was getting lightheaded. The body mass that held me down moved away and I heard something fall to the floor. I opened my eyes and saw... a hair dryer?
I looked up at my assailant and-
"You little shit! I thought you were a murderer I'm gonna beat your ass!"
His little giggle filled the halls as I pushed myself up and followed my boyfriend around my house. The little monkey climbed over furniture and blocked my every path.
