Seungcheol was roaming around in their dorm in the middle of the night. Wonwoo, Mingyu and Chan caught a cold and Seungkwan already had a fever even though he was good an hour ago.Vernon and Seokmin were not feeling well and Minghao was saying he was nauseous too, He knew everyone was sick because there was a flu going around and they probably got it from a few stylists who were sick while getting their makeup done in the small room with at least 20 people in it. They also ordered food from a sketchy place so that was why few of them were nauseous or had stomachache.
But no matter how many times he called them their manager was not letting them have a few days off because of their stupid schedule. He was alone, he made everyone go to bed before trying to call their manager once again so no one was getting stressed over the fact too.The manager stopped answering probably because he tried to call him at least 13 times when he heard they were not getting any days off.
He didn’t care about how many schedules or any kind of thing that is related to work at all. Those were definitely the least important thing right now. He just wanted his members to be healthy and have a good rest, was he asking for too much? He sighed and held his head in his hands as he sat down on the couch. Everything was going bad and he wished he could disappear in thin air. His phone rang and filled the empty room with a soft melody. He quickly accepted the call when he saw it was from their manager who wasn’t answering for the last 20 minutes.
“Hyung ?” he said excitedly. Then their manager started speaking, “Seungcheol, I’m sorry but the practices and schedules are so important i can’t do something about it. But when the schedules ends i can give you a break so-“ he immediately hung up on the manager and threw his phone to the other side of the couch. He didn’t want to hear the rest of the long talk of their manager who was just trying to convince him. He knew they had at least two months before their next break.
He closed his eyes and sighed, tried to calm himself down before he lost his temper and shout or hurt others with his words if they were not asleep right now. He heard footsteps coming closer to him but he didn’t check who was it before saying “Please go to sleep, it’s already late.” but they footsteps didn’t stop. Instead, he heard a phone being put down on the table and a very familiar yawn and a stubborn little “No.” from someone in front of him. He looked up and his eyes met with Jeonghan.
Jeonghan was standing there just looking at him trying to understand the situation. “What happened, ddaddu-ya ?” he said in his playful voice to cheer him up at least a little. His face was stressed as he looked like he was going to tear up. “Hannie, it’s not the right time to play around. Everyone is sick and it doesn’t look like we’re getting any days off they are not going to get better if they continue working!” Seungcheol said while still looking up to Jeonghan.
His anger was making him wanted to cry and his eyes were already teary. He sniffled and wiped the tears harshly as soon as they started to fall. Jeonghan put his playful self on the side and kneeled in front of him. “It’s okay, cheol. They are going to be slightly better in the morning after a good sleep. You don’t need to worry about it.” he said in a comforting voice. He was good at comforting people as much as he was good at cheating in games.
“You have to sleep too. We will deal with the manager and the company in the morning but now, you are going to sleep.” he said while caressing Seungcheol’s hair. “I don’t want to, not until i convince the manager to give us a few days off.” he mumbled as he let himself relax under Jeonghan’s soothing voice and touch. “Come on, you are so sleepy that you’ll fall asleep if i continue caressing your hair.” Jeonghan giggled as his hand slowly made its way to Seungcheol’s cheeks.
Seungcheol looked around like he was trying to decide on sleeping or staying here until morning to call their manager. Jeonghan noticed he was trying to make a decision and didn’t make a noise. Seungcheol sighed again and looked into Jeonghan’s eyes. “Can we cuddle ?” he said in a dulcet voice. Jeonghan smiled faintly and chuckled. “Yes, we can ddaddu. Now let’s go, okay ?” he said and got on his feet as he pulled Seungcheol up too.
Seungcheol followed Jeonghan to their room and immediately fell on the bed without even waiting for Jeonghan and got in his sleeping position. Jeonghan gently smiled and laid down next to him and pulled him to a tight hug. Seungcheol quickly hugged him and hid his face in the curve of Jeonghan’s neck. Jeonghan caressed his soft hair and made sure that he was comfortable in the bed before covering him with the warm blanket.
They slept like that the whole night until Jeonghan woke up to a still sleeping and eyes closed Seungcheol. He smiled and stared at him for a while and kissed him on his forehead. He got out of Seungcheol’s muscular arms and his strong hold of him. After getting out of the bed too, he covered the exposed parts of Seungcheol with the blanket and made his way to the living room to get his phone and Seungcheol’s phone because he left it there the previous night and he saw Seungcheol’s phone across the couch too.
The reason their manager didn’t pick up Seungcheol’s calls was him. He called the manager yesterday after hearing Seungcheol talking and he told the manager to not pick up Seungcheol’s calls and to listen to him instead. He calmly told the manager their reason to wanting to cancel the schedules tomorrow. Since even if they don’t cancel them, they were not going to show up so it was better to cancel. But their manager insisted on not canceling them so he called someone who is more advanced and has a higher rank than their manager.
He calmly explained their situation and that they wanted some days off because most of the members were not feeling well. The person he talked to listened to him unlike their manager who just said they can’t get any days off and decided to cancel their schedules for them and give them as much as days off they wished to get. He also told them to get better and recover quickly so their fans won’t miss them a lot. He also mentioned that he will have a private talk with their manager and if he finds his actions not inappropriate and not professional, he is going to let their boss know about it so they can change their manager. So, after their long talk Jeonghan got two weeks off and was going to tell the person he talked to if they want a longer time to get things done.
And why he didn’t want to tell this to Seungcheol was that if he does, he is going to think that he was a bad leader and couldn’t think of something like that. But he knew Seungcheol couldn’t think of this was because he was so anxious about the members health and getting days off. He didn’t want him to feel like he was a bad leader so he decided to not tell him that he was the one to call someone higher ranked and handle the situation calmly instead of him. Seungcheol was the best leader SEVENTEEN could ever have and Jeonghan was not going to let him question this and think he is not good enough.
He told everyone that woke that they had two weeks off the recover and reminded them to let the others know about their little break when they wake up. Then he picked up his and Seungcheol’s phones from the living room and made his way to his room where Seungcheol was after getting a glass of water for him to drink when he wakes up. He entered the room smiling and said “Good morning ddaddu-ya.” but instead of a warm smile, he found Seungcheol looking at him with teary eyes “Can you give me my phone, im going to call the manager.” he said but Jeonghan didn’t hand him the phone.
He walked up to Seungcheol and kissed him on his cheek. “It’s okay baby, after you fell asleep, manager called us and gave us two weeks off. Now let’s wipe your tears and have a good rest day, okay ? Everything is going to be alright, Some members are already awake and feeling better. You don’t need to worry about anything. Now let’s drink some water.” he said and handed Seungcheol the water. Seungcheol drank the water and hugged Jeonghan who was still standing. “If we have days off, let’s sleep.” he said and pulled him to the bed. Jeonghan let out a small scream and laughed as he laid down. “But we need to have breakfast, baby.” he said and tried to get up, still laughing. Seungcheol was pouting and said “Are you going to sleep with me after breakfast then ?” in a sweet, convincing voice. Jeonghan nodded and both got out of the bed and walked to the kitchen to get breakfast ready.
After the breakfast, Jeonghan took a nap with Seungcheol as he promised and did not leave him alone for the rest of the day to make sure he was alright.
