Does Estinien ever bathe? Is sleeping in that armor comfortable? Surely not since no one else sleeps in their armor. These are my thoughts as we make camp. Estinien is still wearing his Nidhogg blood-soaked armor and showing no signs of taking it off. What does he even look like under that armor? Bless Alphinaud being too sweet to say anything (or maybe too afraid) but the smell is odious.
Next time we go by a river I wonder if I could get away with knocking aka tripping him into it? Could I make it look like an accident? I’m a klutz after all, it’s why I’m a summoner and not say a dragoon.
I’m starting to doubt Ameryic and his tastes in friends. I’m not sure they could be more different. Ameryic is all that is good and Estinien seems all that is pig headed and smelly now. His smell is going to start attracting predators and that’s not going to be fun to deal with. A plan is needed.
A few days later we come across a farm and the farmer lets us set up camp there in exchange for dealing with some wolves. There’s a well and buckets, it’s not a great plan but desperate times call for desperate measures. Estinien will probably kill me but at least everyone else will be able to sleep. Now to just wait for him to go to sleep. This will at least force him to take off the armor and then maybe actually take a bath, change clothes, something.
Once he’s asleep I will act. Thankfully he’s a deep sleeper. You’d think he’d be more aware of his surroundings. Guess not. The bucket is already filled. I have it near the fire, so it won’t be ice cold (I can be nice). I hear snores.
“What the fuck?!”
Maybe I shouldn’t have done this. As he takes his helmet off grey eyes turn to glare at me. If looks could kill, I’d be dead. I smile and try not to laugh (I have many death wishes after all). It would be bad form for him to kill the Warrior of Light….right?
“What the fuck Winters?”
“Your smell was unbearable. Dried blood isn’t pleasant.”
“Did you forget how to use words?”
“Would you have done anything if I had use words?”
He’s standing over me now yelling. Why are Elezen males so tall?
“Fine.” He says through gritted teeth after what felt an age of him glaring and storms off towards a stream.
Payback will probably be a bitch. But who knew he was so pretty?
