Work Text:

*Chicken Island, A.K.A. Paradise. Late at night, the moonlight shines beautifully on the trees and water. About a week after the debacle at Fun-Land Farms. Molly is sitting up in her tree gazing upon the stars of the night, admiring how brightly they twinkle and how countless they are. Just then, Frizzle comes up a bit behind her.*

Frizzle: Hey, Mol’.

Molly, without looking away: Hey Friz’.

Frizzle: Mind if I… join ya up here?

Molly: ‘Course not! You can sit beside me.

*Frizzle sits beside Molly, as comfortable as she can. Admittingly, they’re a bit snug against each other, making the two blush somewhat.*

Frizzle: Stars sure are lovely, ain’t they?

Molly: Oh, you bet, and that's just the beginning of it. I always love to come here and see the view during the day but at night… It's like an entirely new world. The stars, the moon, the water reflecting it all… it’s just so beautiful.

Frizzle: Yeah… It sure is… and to think… We really thought that chicken farm was all that, huh?

Molly: Tell me about it, hehe! Sure it was fun being able to play in it, but this… this is almost magical…

Frizzle: Yeah… Speaking of that farm… I still wanted to say thank ya. For busting me out and all.

Molly: Friz’, you don't got to thank me… I couldn't have ever forgiven myself if I left you. If anything, I should be thanking you…

Frizzle: For what?

Molly: For being a great friend when I needed one.

Frizzle: …Some friend, I am. I almost got us turned into nuggets.

Molly: Ah, don't beat yourself up over that. We both didn't know the true intentions the humans had for us. Besides, even though it was dangerous, it was at least fun. I finally got to experience some excitement in my life, all thanks to you.

Frizzle: …Hm. I guess when you put it like that. Well… you're welcome. But as we're thanking each other for things, I would also like to thank you for making me feel at home here.

Molly: Ah, don't mention it! I couldn't imagine a life where you're not close to me…

Frizzle: …Heh! Right! Of-of course! Same here!

*At this moment, the two blush again and look off at the stars to avoid the sudden awkwardness of the conversation.*

Frizzle: Stars sure are pretty, ain't they?

Molly: Hmm… Yep…

Frizzle: You might even say they're the prettiest sight you've ever seen, huh?

Molly: Well… I don’t know if I'd say that…

Frizzle: Really? …What is the prettiest sight then?

Molly, now looking Frizzle in the face: …I’m looking at it right now…

*Frizzle has a blank expression at the moment but her face turns about as red as a tomato while still looking at Molly. She then suddenly shakes her head while closing her eyes to regain her composure.*

Frizzle: Oh! Uh… T-thanks! Hehe…

*Frizzle now shyly looks away back to the stars.*

Frizzle: I, uh, never been given a compliment like that before…

Molly, still looking at Frizzle: Hmhm…

*Molly then looks back up at the stars, still blushing slightly. She then slowly rests her head on Frizzle’s shoulder, which causes Frizzle to blush even harder than she was before.*

Frizzle: …You know, Mol’… I’d argue the prettiest sight ever… is sitting right next to me…

Molly: …Well… I'd argue the same thing, Friz’…

*After a second, Frizzle slowly starts to rest her head on Molly’s as the two keep staring at the night sky without saying another word. Needless to say, that was the night they became more than just friends.*

Notes:

Aardman. How dare you make me fall for these two… now I have a new obsession my sapphic chicken babies. Please help me, yall.
