Title: "Unexpected Care
---
Regina Mills was preparing for an ordinary day in Storybrooke when unexpected news disrupted her routine. An alarming message from Snow White informed her that Emma Swan had fallen seriously ill. Without hesitation, Regina rushed to her colleague's house.
Upon arrival, she found Emma feverish and weakened, wrapped in blankets, yet the usual determined smile on her face was absent.
"Regina, I'm sorry... I'm feeling really unwell," murmured Emma weakly.
Regina put aside her mixed feelings and focused on caring for Emma. She prepared magical remedies and herbal teas to help reduce the fever while listening to Emma recount how she had started feeling unwell.
Hours passed as Regina watched over Emma, helping her take medicine and changing the cool compresses on her forehead. Over time, their strained relationship transformed, giving way to moments of shared vulnerability.
"Regina, I don't know how to thank you," whispered Emma, her eyes heavy with sleep.
"Don't worry about that. Just rest," Regina gently replied.
In the days that followed, Emma slowly began to recover under Regina's attentive care. During this time, they shared conversations that deepened their mutual understanding and strengthened their bond.
As Emma regained some energy, they found themselves in the living room, sharing quiet moments and occasionally laughing together.
"Thank you, Regina, for everything," said Emma, smiling weakly but sincerely.
Regina felt an unusual warmth in her heart at this expression of gratitude. She realized that she had discovered a new side of Emma beyond the determined colleague: a vulnerable yet still strong Emma, even in sickness.
Their relationship had evolved from a forced collaboration to a genuine friendship, based on mutual understanding and respect.
When Emma was finally restored, they looked at each other, a new connection formed between them.
"I'm here if you ever need anything, Emma," assured Regina.
"I know, thank you."
Regina left the house, her heart light, knowing that beyond magic and curses, something precious had emerged from this experience: a true friendship between her and Emma.
