Chapter Text

“Hey, what’s a pretty girl like you here doing alone?”

The towering, slender figure with striking white hair cast her a charismatic smile as he intercepted the girl’s path. His appearance transcended more than physical attributes, encompassing his stature, appearance, voice, and the captivating gaze that locked onto (Y/N)'s eyes. She found herself momentarily silenced, taken aback by the presence of this attractive young man. Clutching a boxed lunch, she instinctively took a step backward.

"I came here to drop off lunch to my brother," (Y/N) mumbled.

A second student joined the scene, light-heartedly punching his friend's shoulder. "Hey, could you go one minute without trying to court a girl? Sorry about him."
Turning to (Y/N) with a charming smile, the friend matched the previous student's appeal. His jet-black hair was neatly tied in a bun, and he wore the distinctive uniform of Jujutsu High.

"I don’t recall anyone here having a cute sister; I would have known," the young man remarked.

"Satoru," his friend sighed, "So who is your brother?"

"Takuto. He’s a second-year student," (Y/N) replied, shifting aside.

"I’ll gladly take you to him if you-"

His friend intervened, gently nudging Satoru away to lead (Y/N) towards her brother. Engaging in a brief conversation, she learned the names of the two students - Suguru and Satoru. Both were in the same grade as her older brother, Takuto. As she walked beside Suguru, she sensed Satoru's lingering gaze. Though she acknowledged his attractiveness, she had no intention of asking for his number or anything of that sort.

Soon they reached Takuto, (Y/N) and Suguru were met with a colder atmosphere than the bright encounter with Satoru. The atmosphere around him exuded a subtle dissatisfaction as he looked at his sister. Takuto, with his long, dark brown bangs partially veiling his eyes, possessed an obscure demeanor that hinted at a reserved nature. His brown eyes, set against his pale skin, held a depth that seemed to harbor unspoken emotions. His ears were pierced which added more to his cold expression.

"Hey, Takuto," Suguru greeted, attempting to ease the tension. "Your sister brought you lunch. Isn't that nice?"

Takuto's response, however, was curt and laced with an air of discontent. "You don't always need to pack me lunch, (Y/N)."

His sister, taken aback by his remark, "I wanted to make sure that you eat well.”

"Save it," Takuto interrupted, his tone firm. "I can take care of myself. You don't have to act like some overbearing caretaker."

The exchange left an awkwardness in the air. Takuto's cold disposition remained unchanged, and he seemed reluctant to engage further. The trio, now standing in a strained silence, were clad in the same Jujutsu High uniform, emphasizing the shared academic environment.

As the encounter concluded, Takuto excused himself without another word. The lingering chill persisted, leaving (Y/N) and Suguru standing in the aftermath of an unexpectedly chilly reunion. The contrast between the warm meeting with Satoru and the distant reception from Takuto added layers of complexity to the high school dynamics, leaving an indelible mark on the encounter.

Suguru, observing the tension between (Y/N) and her brother Takuto, turned to her as he tilted his head. "Is he always like this?" he asked.

(Y/N) sighed. "Yes, but I'm determined to get close to him again," she declared, her resolve evident despite his cold exterior.

As if on cue, Satoru approached with a charismatic smile.
"Maybe to lift your spirits, why don't I take you out for lunch?" he suggested, injecting a playful and flirtatious note into the atmosphere.

(Y/N), faced with a choice, weighed her options. She could call it a day and go straight home or indulging in lunch with her brother's classmate weighed on her mind. Satoru, while appearing lighthearted and a tad flirtatious, carried a certain charm. She contemplated the possibility that sharing lunch with him might pave the way for a closer relationship with her distant brother.

After a moment of contemplation, (Y/N) returned Satoru's smile. "Sure, let's go out for lunch," she agreed, deciding to seize the opportunity to bridge the gap with her brother through this unexpected interaction. Perhaps, this was the push that Satoru needed in his life and so as (Y/N).
