In a world where Yashiro Nene never meets Hanako-kun, or becomes intertwined with the supernatural world, and manages to lead a somewhat normal life: She lives in a world that, as wonderfully tame and convenient as it is, cannot save her from her impending death.
She keeps a personal diary to document her thoughts and feelings in the time she has left.
