"Happy anniversary, my love," Katsuki presses a gentle kiss to his hand, slipping a small velvet box into his palm.
"Oh, Kacchan... we said no gifts!" "You really thought I'd abide by that when it comes to you?" Pools of saffron twinkle in the dim lighting. Izuku rolls his eyes, playfully smacking the alpha's arm as he fiddles with the box. "So mean, Kacchan. Now I have to get you something!"
"Not happening; now open the damn box, 'Zu,"
Slowly, Izuku pries the velvet lid off, nearly dropping the box when he registers its contents. A gold ring with two gemstones... one ruby and one— "Our birthstones? I—Kacchan, I... this is the, one of the most beautiful things I've..." He trails off, unable to find the words. The right words, the perfect words to describe the most perfect gift he's ever received.
"You mentioned our first night together how you wanted a little piece of us to carry with you, and well... I thought this would be a good start."
Tears well up, threatening to fall as Izuku looks up at the wonderful alpha he gets to call his. The dam breaks then, his bottom lip wobbling as he chokes out a sob, reaching across the table and wrapping his arms around the blonde. Katsuki grunts, taken aback for just a moment before he stands and pulls the omega up, Izuku's legs wrapping around his waist and his mouth finding Katsuki's within seconds. Breaking the kiss, the blonde laughs heartily, nuzzling against Izuku's scent gland as he sits down. "You can't be doing that, baby. It's not safe—"
"Oh, would you stop? You're worse than our parents. I'm only four months along, Kacchan. Besides, I knew you would catch me. Just like you did that day." The green-haired omega purrs at the memory of their first encounter all those months ago; the blonde bumping into him in the middle of the library, knocking the massive pile of books from his hands, and Izuku tumbling down with them, only to find himself in the arms of the alpha with carmine eyes that made him see stars. The sweet, calming scent of bergamot and vanilla that enveloped him, made him feel warm and safe, was all Izuku needed to know that Katsuki was special. And when they ran into each other, time and time again, that same scent binding them together, he knew there would be no one else but him.
"Can you blame me? You're a reckless little shit; my reckless little shi—" Izuku shuts his overprotective mate up with another kiss, purring loudly when he hears his Kacchan croon, a large hand moving to rest on his belly. "You know I'd do anything for you, 'Zu. So let me have this..." The blonde alpha whispers against his kiss swollen lips. The green-haired omega nuzzles against his mate's scent gland, threading their fingers together. "and don't you dare get me a gift. This," He squeezes his hand, "is the best gift of my entire life. You are the greatest gift of my life, and I love you. I love you so fuckin' much," Katsuki takes the ring box and slips the gold band around Izuku's ring finger, crooning with satisfaction when it sits perfectly on top of his wedding band. "You're perfect,"
Izuku admires the ring for a brief moment, emotion threatening to steal his voice. He pulls Katsuki down, brushing their lips together. "I love you, Kacchan." He can't wait to include an emerald; the perfect addition to their future.
