Herbert Takes the Heat

Summary:

A poem about Silver being fed up with Herbert's schemes to warm up the island and deciding to take things into her own flippers.

Notes:

I wrote this back in 2020 after playing the PSA missions on Club Penguin Rewritten because Herbert pissed me off, as he usually does. (I obviously don't mind if people like Herbert, that's fine! I just don't like him.)

There's like no real structure or whatever, it's just me writing what I want to write... like always, lol.

To anyone waiting for me to continue my Operation: Blackout fic, I haven't abandoned it! The next chapter will be posted whenever I finish it.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

After mastering the art of Card-Jitsu Fire,

I was finally ready to face my foe.

Out into the wilderness I went alone,

Not even the Director or Gary knew.

It was a personal mission, for after all this time,

I had grown tired of foiling my enemy’s plans.

Up into the mountains, towards where the EPF tracked him,

I went with my blazing adornments.

Finding a cave where he had to have been,

I went inside and got ready to face him.

Then he saw me and said with a scoff,

“What are you doing in my abode, you fowl fool, dressed up and looking like a torch?”

While Klutzy clicked something only Rookie could understand.

“You want to be warm?!” I yelled in frustration,

“Then here, if you can take the heat, take this!”

The fire from my flippers, so hot it was,

With it I managed to burn the polar bear’s lair to the ground.

I fled the cave with merely a singed beak,

While Herbert was engulfed in the flames.

When the inferno I created eventually died down,

I went back inside and inspected my work.

The smell of burnt fur and flesh filled the air,

And I slightly gagged in disgust.

However, despite that, I was satisfied,

For I had finally defeated Club Penguin’s terrorist.

I looked to my feet and was surprised to see,

Some freshly cooked crab just for me.

I’d be eating good tonight.

Notes:

"If Herbert wants to be warm so bad, why doesn't he just go to Hell?" - my boyfriend, 2023

Good question, Jeth, good question...

(Now we've both written things about Herbert being killed lmao.)
