Can't Help Falling in Love with You | Severus Snape x reader
As you were cleaning the dirty dishes, it was already evening, just after dinner time. You were humming a little tune, a tune that you loved so much.
As you hummed the song ‘Can't Help Falling in Love’ quietly, you felt strong arms wrap around your waist.
“My love…are you almost done?” He mumbled close to your ear, his warm breaths tickling the skin of your neck.
“Almost, Severus.” I chuckled lightly, “Have patience, dearest.” I added as he sighed deeply
“Come on, love, let's dance instead.” He said as he pulled you gently away from the sink, his other hand taking yours
“But-” “No buts, dearest. It's been a while since we last danced.” he said as he smiled slightly, walking towards the record player and put on the song ‘Can't Help Falling in Love’
“Are you only playing this song because you heard me?” You ask as you chuckled “Maybe, but also because it reminds me of how I always fall for you, every second I lay my eyes upon yours.” He said with a smile, a smile that warms your heart every single time.

‘Falling in love with you..’
The song played as he danced with you, you always loved dancing with him. Whether it be slow dancing, or dancing silly dances, you loved every single of it.
“Oh, shall I stay?”
He sang along with his voice sending quiet echoes around the empty house.
“Would it be a sin?”
He sang again, his deep voice sending butterflies inside your stomach.
“Oh, if I can't help”
He continued as his hands went to cup your face gently as he moved a strand of hair behind your ear
“Falling in love with you.”
You sang softly as you put a hand on top of his.
“When am I gonna be able to see you again?” You asked quietly as you looked down.
His finger touched against your skin as he held your chin and said “My love, whenever you think of me, or whenever you play this song, I will always be here with you.”
“Because dancing with you is like falling in love with you all over again.”
Tears were threatening to fall from your eyes as he said those words, those words that fell from his lips.
“Oh, Severus..” You mumbled quietly, as you felt his lips touch yours, oh, the sweet and gentle kiss.
He had an arm around your waist as he spun you around slowly, his smile, that could brighten up any dark room.

‘Darling, so it goes’
‘Some things are meant to be..’
“Oh, take my hand”
“Take my whole life too”
“For I can't help”
“Falling in love with you..”
You both sang as he smiled at you.
“I'll see you again soon, my darling.” He said with a sad smile
“𝑰 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝒎𝒚 𝒅𝒆𝒂𝒓. 𝑨𝒍𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔.”
He said as his grip on you loosened as his figure disappeared.
“I love you more, Severus.” You said as you fell down on the floor on your knees, the picture frame with you and Severus in your hands as you sang quietly, reminiscing the lovely memories of your husband when he was still alive.
