After a long day at the studio to prepare for their upcoming album, Jaehyun finally got some rest time as he finished his part for the day. He lets out an exhale and plops backward onto his chair, music is fun but it sure is hard. Spinning the chair to his left, he was met with Taesan whose whole body is slumped over their desk, his soul and energy visibily seen to be leaving his body.
"Let's have a good rest today, we've worked hard." Jaehyun said to Taesan which he replied with a slight nod he could make out from even under his hood.
"I'll buy you some snacks for helping me with work today, don't tell our manager though" Taesan shot up straight to the sound of that, giving Jaehyun a look of confusion.
"Do you want to ask me another favor..." Taesan asked him in return after a few seconds.
"Well yes, but not right now, so enjoy your snacks in bliss later." The dark haired boy gave him an eyeroll and mumbled a whatever as he leaves their studio, to which Jaehyun shouted an I love you followed by a slam of the door. He should start packing up as well.
After checking their work for the day one last time and saving it, he turned off the computer and picked up his phone. Scrolling the phone screen left and right a few times, his attention ultimately landed on Weverse.
"It's been a while since I've interacted with the fans" He thinks as he opens the application. Their fans were acting cute as always, sending the group heartfelt messages and encouraging words, he wishes he could reply to everyone since he's so grateful for all of them.
Jaehyun didn't notice the live icon on their profile at all, and was really taken aback when he saw it. He tapped on it and the live was titled with nothing but a small "❣️" emoji. He doesn't really remember that there was any schedule for a group live, so he wondered whose live this is. Jaehyun has never missed another member's live, even though he doesn't comment in every single one of them. He loves lurking and seeing how his members act on their own in front of fans, and their fans reactions are really a sight to witness as well. He also wants to give other members their own spotlight time, because they've all worked very hard and they all deserve it.
The curious boy tuned into the live but to his surprise, there was no one and it's just their familiar practice room. "Someone's still in the company building?" He wonders. The recording phone was propped up quite far away, unlike normal group lives they do.
A couple of minutes passed and it was still just white noise with nothing happening, which was quite unusual since Jaehyun has only just opened the live and it seems to have started an hour and a half ago. He was feeling uneasy, thinking which member could just leave it going on like this, and what they were doing, it's common courtesy not to leave their fans hanging.

The sudden beats echoing from his phone made Jaehyun jump a little, and in walked a person oh too familiar for him. It was Riwoo.
The boy was wearing his baby blue trapper hat, paired nicely with a denim t-shirt and some jeans a shade too dark for Jaehyun to tell from just the live. In his hand was a bottle of barley tea, Jaehyun assumed, since the wrapper is already ripped off so he wouldn't know for sure, but it's not like he has never drank it before to not recognize what the drink looks like. Riwoo's usually quite petite, compared to Jaehyun of course, but watching him from this point of view really highlights how cute he is.
Jaehyun just wants to grab him through his phone screen and give him a big squeeze that will knock out all the air in his lungs, cute aggression is scary.
After taking a few quick sips from the bottle, Riwoo immediately started bopping up and down along to the music. He was just kind of vibing with the beat and a few "Ehh Eh Aye"s from the song while smoothly sliding in a few shoulder shimmies. A smug grin plastered on his face.
"I feel like I know this song..." The boy who's watching from the other side of the screen mumbles to himself. It was not a completely alien melody, the vocables were helping him put his finger on it, but still not quite.
Riwoo started strumming what seemed to be an invisible guitar to the music while doing some slow footwork, which got a giggle out of Jaehyun. Jaehyun swore that for a split second, he saw Riwoo looking straight into the camera before swiftly breaking contact with a pirouette. It seemed like he was trying to find something, or expecting someone to watch his LIVE through the screen, and Jaehyun hoped that it was him.
By the time the chorus comes, Jaehyun recognizes the song. It's the one from that spiderman movie about alternate universes, he's not really keen on the whole franchise but he's caught wind of it in the midst of its hype. And he's caught Riwoo listening to it a few times, since he always snatches an earbud from the unsuspecting Riwoo.
"..then you'll be left in the dust, unless I stuck by ya".
He doesn't understand what they're singing about fully but he could tell that it's somewhat a love song or about longing for love to bloom, it could be either. Jaehyun felt a slight pang in his chest. He couldn't tell if it was his heartbeat matching with the song's bass from the LIVE or it's another feeling.
He keeps unknowingly getting drawn to Riwoo, ever since he barged into Jaehyun's life a few years back.
He kept stealing glances at Riwoo and sometimes gets embarrassed because they met eye contact. And the latter boy is just so accepting of whatever Jaehyun does. Whether it is his touch, his pranks, his antics, Riwoo just puts up with all of them and sometimes Jaehyun feels like he's an angel sent from above. Jaehyun knows he's always been the type to fall too hard and love too much, but for Riwoo he's trying to tone it down a bit.
He's glad to have Riwoo who is willing to accept who he is almost immediately, and that makes him falls even deeper. Jaehyun loves their heartfelt talks, their late night dance practices, and the tears they've shed in each other's arms from almost calling it quits.
The upbeat vibes of the song just makes you want to dance along, and something about the singer's voice seems so raw, resonant within the listener. Or at least with him. Looking back onto his trainee days, his eyes seem to always find their ways onto Riwoo. At first it was out of curiosity, Jaehyun wondered what piqued his interest in the other boy. Maybe it was because of his small frame compared to the other trainees who were skyscrapers, or maybe it was because how his small frame moves with so much power and pride whenever music came on.
Jaehyun was pretty confident in his dancing but he has never met someone who could go neck and neck against him, subjectively even better than him sometimes.
"I never knew you could move like that!??" Jaehyun's bewilderment was met with a few giggles from Riwoo. He was a guy with few words but everytime he dances it's like there's a whole story to tell, Jaehyun feels like he could see everything and everywhere about Riwoo even though they've only met for a few weeks.
"I just love dancing too much I guess." Riwoo looks down sheepishly at his feet, hoping he didn't sound too nervous just now.
Jaehyun was awestruck, he swears he saw a glow emitting from Riwoo earlier. Like a small sun. And Jaehyun, facing in his direction, is witnessing him shining so brightly firsthand.
Everything was moving along smoothly. Riwoo started hopping onto the beat towards the camera then ending his freestyle, which snapped Jaehyun out from his trance. "Oh he's done." He finally remembered that he had to return to their dorm and felt a wave of heat radiating from his cheeks as he leaves the studio. Jaehyun couldn't help but smile to himself while walking home, just the thought of meeting Riwoo later is making him all giddy. He can't wait to shower him with hype for such an amazing LIVE later.
