‘so how was it :D’
Ramon’s sign is placed down a nanosecond after he gets out of bed.
Fit, not long since having woken up himself, stretches his arms out and laughs.
“Good morning to you too, Ramon.”
‘sorry, good morning fit’ Ramon writes, then jumps up and down behind his original sign.
“Yeah, it went well, i’d say!” Fit can’t stop himself from smiling, and Ramon crouches and walks towards his father, eager to hear more. “We saw a cool movie, had a nice dinner…”
‘and you told him about the mission?’
Fit breathes a sigh of relief, one of many since his conversation with Pac. “I did.”
‘cmon fit don’t make me do all the work TELL ME :D’
“It went even better than we hoped, Ramon,” Fit says as he sits down on the rough floor of Ramon’s room, and his son follows suit. “Not only did he offer his data up willingly, he said he’d do whatever he could to help.” Fit is grinning at this point.
Ramon, with no warning, reaches across to his father for a hug, which Fit returns without hesitation.
‘i knew he was a good one’ Ramon writes, and jumps up and down in place.
“He is, Ramon,” Fit agrees, “I was a bit worried at one point when he just disappeared whilst we were heading for our private chat, but Tubbo will pay for that.”
‘why am i not surprised he tried to mess with you, what was it this time’
“Pac set up a stasis pearl at Tubhaus in case things went bad, and somehow he tricked Bagi into triggering it, just as we were about to get into the mission!”
Ramon switches from holding a sign to his scythe.
Fit laughs. “No need for that, Ramon. He will be dealt with, and that’s a promise, my boy.”
Ramon puts away his scythe and retrieves his sign.
‘can i at least get a couple of hits in’
“What kind of father would I be to deprive my son of revenge? Of course you can.”
Ramon nods slowly.
“Feels good to not be alone anymore, huh?” Fit jokes, and Ramon hits him a single time before reaching for another hug.
It warms Fit’s heart to see his son slowly grow more affectionate. But it warms his heart more at seeing the sudden change in his son’s mannerisms.
‘HI PAIIII :DD’
Fit turns to see Pac standing in the doorway, smiling down at the two.
“Hi, Ramon! Hi, Fitch!” Pac waves. “Can I join you, or is this a private chat?”
‘get in here!!!!’
“What Ramon said,” Fit says with a laugh, which Pac echoes as he enters the room, closing the door behind him. He sits beside Fit on the floor, their knees touching.
“Talking about yesterday?” Pac asks with a smile, and Ramon nods so fast his meathead nearly hits the floor.
‘TELL ME EVERYTHING’
“Well I don’t know what you’ve been told already, Ramon,” Pac gestures to Fit. “But you were missed! I hope you’re feeling better!”
‘all good now i know yesterday went VERY well’
“Oh god, Fit, what have you been telling him?” Pac laughs. “But yeah, I had a great time, Ramon, your dad was very kind to me.”
‘he can be a gent - i taught him that’
“You are an excellent teacher, then!” Pac smiles.
Ramon jumps up and down excitedly.
“And hey, we might not all die in a couple of months now that I have two of you helping me!” Fit gestures to the two of them, and Pac and Ramon exchange a glance.
‘you better not have been this much of a mood killer on the date, fit’
Pac bursts out into laughter. Fit feels himself blush, and Pac rests a gentle hand on Fit’s knee.
“Go easy on him, he tried his best,” Pac says, in between his bouts of laughter.
“Ramon, how dare you! I was the definition of romantic!”
“Oh, he actually was!” Pac interjects, gently squeezing Fit’s knee, and as Fit glances over to him, there’s a certain sparkle in Pac’s eyes as he gushes. “When Tubbo tried to kidnap me, Fit appeared out of nowhere and, like, nearly killed him on the spot, it was SO cool!”
‘if that’s what romance is to you pai i don’t judge’
It’s now Fit’s turn to burst into laughter and Pac’s turn to blush.
‘… spring wedding?’
Fit quickly destroys the sign before Pac can see it. Ramon shakes his meathead at his father.
“Ramon, did your dad tell you that Tubbo tried to get him to think I was cheating with Etoiles?” Pac asks.
‘wtf?’
Pac takes a frame and copy of the photo from his backpack and sticks it to the wall. Ramon rushes up to it and studies it carefully.
‘wtf it’s actually good’
“I know, right? That’s why I had to tell Fit as soon as I saw it that it wasn’t true!” Pac takes the photo back down and stuffs back in his backpack.
“As if Etoiles has more rizz than me anyway, huh Ramon? He wouldn’t stand a chance against me.” Fit pounds his chest proudly.
Both Ramon and Pac turn to face him. Pac is grinning. Ramon places a sign.
‘you literally had to practice flirting before you asked him out and i wrote you a script, let’s not get ahead of ourselves’
Pac sniggers into his hand as Ramon begins bouncing around the room.
“Did you really?” Pac asks, sticking out his bottom lip. “That’s so sweet! Fitch, you both went to so much effort!”
‘anything for you pai’
Pac places a hand over his heart and reaches out for a hug, which Ramon all but sprints into.
“Oh, Ramon, guess what! I’m working on building a big huge mansion for us all to live, would you like that?”
‘depends who you mean by all of us’
Ramon gets right up into Pac’s face.
“Uh, well, everyone eventually!” he replies. “But I think to begin with, maybe just us three and Richas, just whilst we see if it’s a good place to live, you know?”
Ramon seems to ponder this, and paces in front of Fit and Pac for a few moments.
“That’d be cool, wouldn’t it, Ramon? Us, Pac and Richas living together?” Fit reiterates.
As Ramon stops pacing and places his sign, time seems to stand still for Fit. Pac seems to sense this as he takes Fit’s hand gently in his own and smiles over at him.
‘only if i have a bigger room than richas’
Relief floods Fit’s chest like an avalanche. Pac laughs loudly, and Ramon continues bouncing.
“You’ll both have huge rooms, Ramon, I promise!” Pac assures him. “We’ll all get the best rooms in the place, I can promise you that.”
‘will you two share a room?’ Ramon writes, and slowly turns to face the two, adding dramatic effect.
“I-“ Fit’s words get stuck in his throat.
“It’s up to your dad,” Pac shrugs, before bringing their linked hands from off the floor and resting on their touching knees. “But I don’t take the term roommates lightly, you know?”
Ramon nods and gets in his father’s face.
“That’s a conversation for another day, Ramon,” Fit replies, and squeezes Pac’s hand when Ramon turns away. He follows up with a smile that Pac returns.
‘are we still on the roommate level or have we finally escalated?’
“What goes higher than roommates?” Pac asks, placing a finger to his chin. Ramon hits him once with his weakest weapon.
‘i notice you don’t correct me or laugh awkwardly when i call you pai anymore so dw i got my answer’
“Ramon!” Fit bites back a laugh, but the egg is already back to bouncing happily around the room.
“Our kids are a handful,” Pac whispers, then rests his head on Fit’s shoulder, watching Ramon’s adventures from wall to wall.
Fit subconsciously rests his head atop Pac’s and tightens his fingers through Pac’s.
He decides he quite likes having his hands full.
