1000 years...is that how long its been since Ragnarok has occurred? How has the world turned out? Wonder what happened to the Winners and characters who were left in grief and guilt? Let me start.
After the devastation of their beloved champions, Humans and Gods decided to try and mend the wounds they have caused one another. Humans fixing the earth and showing more respect for the gods that have helped and brought them to this world, The Gods guiding the humans to do better and treating them as equals rather than lower beings. That led to a revelation that Humans and Gods are not so different that they are more alike than the other side thought. Spikes in Human and God relationships happened and the world has never been happier thanks to Mother Gaia rejuvenating it.
Meanwhile for our Champions
Thor locked himself away after he lost not only his father, cousin, and some of his younger sisters. But also the only man who could bring him a challenge. He was forced to lead the Norse Pantheon, a task he was unsure if he even wanted to do but did it to make his father happy, to keep his legacy going. His fellow Gods worried for him, and his living sisters often visited him to try and cheer him up and get him to come out of the house, but he saw no point as there was no joy waiting for him on the other side....only having to fake that he is okay and not suffering internally. Hrist who had taken over the roll as lead Valkyrie sister often stayed at their house to at least keep him company, he deeply appreciated it although he did not act like it he really loved his family and was stricken with Grief when he had to watch their deaths, although he did not blame Simo or Michel for killing Loki and Odin, he still knew if he saw them in his current state that he would kill them. He also knew he would be a hypocrite because he was fully ready to kill his younger sister Randgriz in battle even now the thought still haunts him on how he thought that way in the past.
Zeus although he came to term with the fact that his family could die in Ragnarok when he accepted to it still felt a lot of Grief from the fact he lost two brothers and his adopted son during the tournament, he knew his cockiness and arrogance is what had led to their deaths, but he did not let that stop him from moving on. He managed to forgive Kojiro, Jack, and Qin Shi Huang for what they had done and even convinced Adamas to let his anger towards them go as they only did what they had to in order to defend their race. He also visited Adams Gravestone and told him he was the strongest and most honorable person he had ever fought, how he wished his own father Kronos was more like him, and how he will promise to him that he will make sure to be a better father to his own children and cheat on his wife less too and try to stay faithful to her. After this he planned more family outings, dinners, and holidays even if his kids were all grown up now. He was a better father to all his kids, especially the ones he was more closer too which were Ares, Hermes, Athena, Apollo, Artemis & Hephaestus. He also got closer to Adamas in that time and still remained the leader of Greece but vowed to try and do better for everyone.
Kojiro's life had changed a bit, he became a celebrity among humanity as the first ever human to kill a God, he was a Hero to all humans and as well as a figure of hope, he did some interviews and even went to some events but kindly reminded people to let him have his privacy. He saved a child of a goddess of youth and for that she thanked him by making his golden age younger and making him look in his 30's again. He still went on to further improve his sword skills and remained good friends with Hrist. He comforted her everytime she came over to his place and cried from the Grief of loosing a lot of family, he felt sorry for her because he didn't loose much during Ragnarok, in fact he really did have nothing to lose but his life. Sometimes he questioned what he was doing with his life, pondering at night while drinking some sake near the lake at his house, he wondered if he had really lived a fulfilling life, he died at an early age, with no family, hadn't seen his friends in years, he had no one close and wondered if he would want that forever. To be alone for the rest of eternity.
Jacks life was never easy, and it wasn't even after Ragnarok. Although due to fighting for humanity got him out of spending centuries in prison he was still hated by a majority of humanity. Got nasty looks, and he found it hard to find a job after trying to turn over a new leaf. Luckily he met Anne and she gave him a job as a chef in the tavern she owned and opened after getting to the afterlife. She also let him live in one of the rooms upstairs of the Tavern. It wasn't the best of lives but it was better than nothing and at least he had a landlord that treated him like a human and not an animal. Sometimes he wonders if he should have just given the win to Hercules. Everyone would have preferred it....even humanity if it meant that he was finally out of history forever.
Shivas life did not change much, he still had a happy time with his wives and his son. He was still leader of the Hindu Pantheon. The one thing that changed though was he was in more contact with Rudra his best friend now. Oh how he had missed his beloved childhood best friend he never seen in so many millennials. One thing that did change though was he started advocating for humans more and often volunteered to show them a better way to live for the Earth's health. He sometimes wondered if things had been different would he and Raiden be friends if he was alive?
Like Shiva, Buddhas life did not change at all and he still remained the carefree loving guy he was. But he honoured Zerofuku and visited his Gravestone every saturday just to chat with it and leave a flower on it. He still wishes he could have saved Zerofuku that day, still wishes he had been quicker in saving him. But he was happy that Zero was not suffering anymore. He just wishes that he could still be here with him.
Qin got back to his normal life of ruling over his empire, he felt sad he lost Hades during Ragnarok but knew it was something he needed to do. He didn't have much changes in his life either other than the fact Chun Yan came over and started to baby him a bit because of his damaged arm, but after the first year she went back to her strict but Motherly persona. He made it a point to stay friends with all the humans who survived in Ragnarok, constantly hanging out with the Einhjar and was recognized as the leader of their friend-group as well. He truly did make a great leader.
Beelzebub got more depressed after Nikolas death, but did not have a hate for humans no more. He poured himself back into his work on trying to find a way to get rid of the curse that plagued him, the monster that roamed inside of him. Satan often laughed at him for his misery, but he did not listen to him. He knew Nikola would want him to be happy so he tried to be happy but not get close to anyone. He tried to find a way to remove Satan without killing himself but so far had not been successful. But he vowed to remain confident. He was harassed by a cult of Hajun to join them into bringing Hajun back, which he declined until they snuck in and stole his remaining Hajun seeds. Although he did not care as he doubted they would find a suitable subject to bring him back in. For now he continued to work tirelessly every second of the day.
Apollos life did not change much although he was shocked in Zeus's change of attitude. One thing that did change though was his Harem started to dispute due to them going out to explore new options with the fact that Human and God relationships were now getting trendy. He was saddened at that but knew he could not force them to stay. He became a little more lonely but was still widely popular among people. He kept his scar like he said he would, and never planned to get rid of it.
Okita continued his life as normal but made sure to properly Honour Susanoos death. He continued his life of fighting crime with his friends and was happy when he hung out with the remaining Einherjar, making close friends with some of them such as Kojiro.
Anubis remained ruler over his part in Helheim named Duat, he still hated humans but that was due to him being in the underworld most of the time when Humans and Gods were getting better with each other.
Simo went back to his puppies after his battle and became an even bigger respectful hero for Finland and was happy to have the Einhjar as his friends and his Valkyrie as his friend as well.
Michel went back to pissing people off and being the little shit he was but tried to remain out of Tartarus for the time being, he continued to annoy Goll and the other Valkyrie sisters but never took his teasing with them to far as he had grown some respect for them.
But in general all was normal and peaceful. Until one day a flashing light appeared in the sky for all to see including Helheim. A goddess appeared. No one knew who she was and her face was covered by a hood that adorned a rose with Angel wings on the back "Humanity and Gods. I am so proud of you all for making it so far in your reconciliation, I am so proud of you all and it had brought me to tears how far you all have moved forward. You do not know who I am and I do not plan to make myself known....But as a gift for you all for reconciling I plan....to bring back all those who have fallen during Ragnarok. You may be able to find their bodies in the arena. Goodbye." The whole of Valhalla was taken aback by this. We're this Goddesses words true?
