Liam nearly chokes on his own giggle, knowing very well it's way too early and Zayn's gonna murder him for wake him up but it's kinda their tradition. Every single birthday Liam did the same thing for him since the beginning of the band.
Trying not to make noise, he put the tray on the nightstand and he leaned carefully behind Zayn's sleeping form, his body warm and too familiar at this point. Unconsciously, Zayn leaned on Liam's body, while the youngest started singing to his ear almost like a whisper:
"I have loved you since we were 18, long before we both thought the same thing. To be loved and to be in love...".
Zayn slowly started to stir with the most beautiful smile on his face, recognizing very well the song in his husband's voice. Who needs to sleep till noon anyway? There's nothing Zayn wanted more than to be here. Awake and on Liam's arms.
"All I can do is say that these arms are made for holding you, oh-oh. I wanna love like you made me feel When we were 18", Liam ended the song before kissing him.
"I'm 31 now though, I'm getting older", he complains making a little pout. Liam wants to kiss him again. He always does.
"Oh, you're right. It's that a gray hair?", he joked, while bringing the tray to Zayn's lap.
It was always the same, two McDonald's burgers, one of them with a candle lit, and some fries, the same they ordered when they meet all those years ago, and on their first date, and even on their wedding day to be honest.
"I don't care how old are you. Now it's 31 and one day it's gonna be eighty-something and I swear to god if there's any that I'll still love you as much as I loved you when we were 18 and even more with every day and every year that goes by. Happy birthday my love".
