Chapter Text

The year of 1981 a young boy was born, he was quiet, startlingly quiet. He was curled against a young woman, by the name Clara, Clara Afton. Clara and her husband, William, already had three children. One was deceased though, Terrance. There happened to be an accident, and the older twin died. Terrance's younger twin, Michael, was the only one after that. About three to four years later he got a sister, Elizabeth. William decided to name this newborn, Christopher or Chris. The new child, and the start of the Afton's Family curse.

It has been a couple years since Chris' birth and he's about two and a half years old. He was a very fast learner, but that came with a cost. He wouldn't ever sleep, and he would say that there were creatures in his room. Michael would comfort him whenever he could, but that was rare. Especially when he was bullied at school, and his mother hated him. Clara would say Michael was the reason for Chris' night terrors, but Michael knew it wasn't true because whenever he did comfort him, Chris would cling to him.

Another couple years have passed, Chris is four, Elizabeth is seven, and Michael is twelve. Elizabeth loves singing and would often sing for Chris and Michael. Michael would help her and teach Chris to sing as well. All three of the kids were great at singing, but they never noticed two souls watching over them. As Michael got closer to the siblings, Clara's abuse got worse. Not to mention his friends were getting bullied along with him.

Chris soon started school, but he had less time to sleep. He started seeing them at night, creatures the size of animatronics, with sharp teeth and claws, glowing eyes, and torn, half-dismantled forms. He stayed up all night just to protect himself, but it got harder and harder. Chris wasn't getting any sleep, and he would go to school without an ounce of sleep. The kids that bullied Michael and his friends started bullying Chris as well. He was constantly afraid, until one night.

Chris's POV:

I had just completed another night of terror, just to walk into more problems at school. The bullies, as I like to consider them, continuously try to scare me. It was getting frustrating, I couldn't go five feet without getting jump-scared. Welp I need to get to class, hopefully without any jump-scares. As soon as I rounded the corner a kid jumped at me. I scream because I saw Nightmare Freddy, but as I calm down I see a kid laughing hysterically.

"Shut up..." I say, walking into my class. I can still hear him laughing, it's mean. I can feel my tears build up again. I quickly tuck my head, so no one questions my random crying. I sit down, hugging my Fredbear plush. Even though I hate the animatronic, I adore the plush. It's quite ironic, really. After class because I wasn't really paying attention. I quickly race to the high school Mikey goes to. I avoid as many of the older students as I can, until I feel someone grab me. I quickly calmed down when I realized it was Mikey picking me up.

"Let's go home." Mikey says, bringing me over to Elizabeth and his friends. I lay against Mikey's chest, feeling the dull exhaustion creeping over me.

Michael's POV:

"Chris fell asleep." I said, holding him close. Eli sees our dad's car, I walk towards them being careful as to not wake up Chris.

"Did Chris fall asleep again?" Dad asks, looking at the sleeping child in my arms. I nod, placing him in the car. We buckle up, and we head back home. I brought Chris up to his room, so he could sleep. After a couple of hours of working on homework, I hear Clara and Dad arguing again. Why won't they stop arguing, it gets annoying after a while. I check in Chris and Lizzy's room. I didn't see Chris in his, but I found both of them in Lizzy's room, crying. I groan at Clara and Dad's careless yelling, and comfort them. I hum a song my older, deceased, brother used to sing to me.

"Wait a second, let me catch my breath." I sing, softly.

"Remind me how it feels to hear your voice. Your lips are moving, I can't hear a thing." I continue singing, but I can hear Lizzy and Chris singing along.

"Living life as if we had a choice, anywhere, anytime, I would do anything for you~ Anything for you." Lizzy continues, while Chris hums softly. I smile, closing my eyes.

"Yesterday got away, melody stuck inside your head~" I finished, Lizzy was already passed out. I noticed Chris wasn't asleep, yet he was calm.
