~Nico POV~
Walking around camp half blood in the dim afternoon light that was left, even though i've been here for at least a month it still surprises me how so much has changed, the new cabins for the minor gods, way more campers thanks to Grover and his crew of satyr, and the few new activities set up. But saying that there is still so much that's the same, that loud Ares girl still picking on the new campers, Leo is walking around with some of his siblings- all of then covered in oil and dirt, Percy is hanging out with Annabeth and a few of her siblings probably designing one of the new camp features, even Jason is here, wearing an orange camp t-shirt, sitting at one of the many benches in the dining pavilion with Piper.
But still there's a feeling in the air that's unmistakable. This is where we belong, some of us at Camp Jupiter and some of us here. But we are all connected, in one way or another. Anyways, I continued to make my way over to the Apollo cabin, I needed a new bandage for my hip. If you're wondering, I went on a quick quest the other day and had a run in with a club. Walking into the warmly lit cabin I ran right into Kayla Knowles, one of the Apollo kids as she was rushing out the door “oh sorry Nico, I'm in a hurry, could you ask Will to get the bandages?” she asks over her shoulder continuing to run in the direction of the dining pavilion. “Ya of course…” i say in a hushed voice, don't get me wrong she's a good friend but always on her feet doing something isn't always a good thing. Now you're probably wondering why Nico Di Angelo wasn't very happy about asking my boyfriend to get me bandages and instead asking his sister. I haven't told him about the injury and I know if I do he’ll make a big deal out of it. He always does.
Suddenly arms were wrapped around my waist and Will Solace was leaning on me with his head on my shoulder. “Hello Sunshine, why are you here?” he whispered, making the butterflies in my stomach go crazy. “Uhhh i came to see Kayla about some bandages for a new camper, he fell off of the lava wall” i answer trying not to meet his eye. But I knew there was no fooling him. A hand suddenly grabbed my chin forcing me to look at him, worry and concern could be seen in his eyes. “What happened Nico, why do you need them?” he asked, his tone sharper then normal, “i-i… just…” damn it. Will grabbed my arm and started leading me to his room, he told me to sit, which i did. His bed is soft. He came back a moment later and sat next to me, “where?” Pulling my jacket off and throwing it on a chair, I lift up my shirt and show him the now dark blue-purple bruise, with a sigh he starts unrolling the cloth and starts wrapping it around my lower stomach.
After he finished, I leaned back slowly and my head hit the pillow. He turned and placed the leftover bandage on the side table and laid down next to me, taking his hand in mine “you should tell me when you get hurt Nico, i can help” his voice soft and calming, i turned and laid my head on his chest, his heartbeat quiet but soothing, “mhmm” i mumbled causing him to chuckle softly, placing his hand on my head and stroking my hair. The final thing I heard before falling asleep was a quiet “I love you, my beautiful sunshine”.
