It's late at night and hero is winding down, but how can they? They have so much stress and pressure on them
Everyone around them "seems good and comfortable in their life, so why do I feel so much stress?"
They ask themselves "God I'm a mess..." With the sound of the raindrops tapping the window it's enough to get anyone lost in their own thoughts, With the occasionally flash of lightning illuminating the rest of the living room, the hero sat on the edge of the couch trying to distract themselves with the tv, but it was just mostly on for sound they were plagued with these thoughts they couldn't focus on the tv right now, they couldn't even focus on their own sleepiness it was late
Then a sharp knock hit the door.
The hero turns their head " who the hell is knocking on my door at this hour?" The knock at the door caught their attention the TV never could
It was late there is no way someone, or anyone would be here? Right? The hero's doubts are confirmed as they pull themselves to their feet. It is late; it is raining; no one should be here Yet, they are faced with another knock. The hero sat there for a moment while waiting for a few more knocks then started inching towards the door, the hero's heart was beating fast,
they'd been on edge lately but this made the feeling worser it filled them with some sort of dread but they second guess themselves "what if it was a family emergency? or someone in need!?" They thought so
They opened the door.
The wind breathed on hero's face as they saw the person who was knocking, it was villain. "Why are they here?, at my house!?" Is the only thought that ran in hero's head
"Hi?..." Villain said They stood there Arch and stiff rain dripping down their face and clothes as they try to catch their breath, heavy breathing was noticeable they swallowed and took a breath "I-" they're cut off by hero
"What are you doing here?" Hero raised their voice trying to sound intimidating, hero was ready for anything villain was about to do but... They just stood their slumped body
look....I just...need you to listen" the villain says trying to explain themselves, but they're still out of breath it seems like they've been running. But from what?
"There's someone- out there worse...than me.... They came and- attacked me out of nowhere, Villain said as they as they kept their head looking down, trying not to make eye contact with hero, villain felt as if hero was judging them they felt weak in this moment so...so... weak
"Someone?" Hero said with confusion they felt as if this was a trick being played on them, The hero is shocked by the villain's claims. There's someone worse than them? The hero can't even comprehend that possibility. Yet as the villain talks, they can't help but notice that the villain does not seem well. A sudden flash of lightning illuminates their face, showing a deep cut on their cheek. The hero's guilt increases as they stare at the villain hunched over, exhausted and injured. they never seen villain like this "why should I believe you?"
There was a pause.
"please..." The villain's legs finally gives up, as their knelt down on the wet pavement.
it's a sight that the hero thought they never see "I- need your help" the hero stared at the villain in disbelief that they would be this vulnerable, and they almost enjoyed that... No!... The hero feels a wave of shame as they take in the sight of the villain on their knees in front of them. This is a sight that would normally bring them joy, to see their enemy humbled and defeated. But here the hero is faced with something different, with a vulnerable opponent who clearly needs their help...
a pure Noble heart must come first, or they wouldn't be a hero. So they crotch down to them
"Come on, let me help you inside. There's a first aid kit in my bathroom that I can use to help you," the hero says. The hero is shocked by their own words, but they can't help but feel that this is something that needs to be done . They want to do what is right, even if it means helping the villain who has done so many wrongs
Villain grunted they were being picked up by hero
"Thank you..." They said, it's the most quiet and soft the hero has ever heard villain be
"Your welcome..."
