Work Text:
Fukase’s hands were trembling. He didn’t know someone could be this excited over a text message, and he wasn’t really the rebellious type, but he’s young and in love so naturally he was asking Len to sneak in, and was overjoyed Len actually agreed to do it.
His mind was racing, both about how exciting this is, and his irrational overthinking over all the little things that could go wrong, would they get caught? Would Len not share the same enthusiasm? But suddenly all thoughts left his mind as he heard a knock at the window and saw a familiar figure standing outside. Now instead of his brain, his heart was racing as he opened the creaky window for his boyfriend to come in.
He didn’t even know what to say. Len entered and closed the first floor window behind him, and Fukase was just frozen in place. This is not the first time the pair had gone on a date, or hung out alone, but this time the redhead felt more giddy than ever before, like he was crushing all over again, and HARD.
Len was the first one to make a move. “Hi, my love” he said as he stepped forward, planting a kiss on the redhead’s cheek. “Is there a reason you wanted me to come over?” He giggled. Fukase thought Len’s laugh was the cutest humanely imaginable.
Fukase turned completely red, both because he didn’t have an answer to Len’s question, and was also simply melting under the boy’s touch. If he wasn’t such a flustered mess any time his boyfriend got near him, he could swear he’d pull the coolest most romantic gesture but unfortunately, he’s dying in the best way possible.
He grabs Len’s cheeks and pulls him in for a kiss, ignoring his thoughts of what he could be doing better and how he could be cooler, because he had time to worry about that later. Len is here now.
Len melts into the kiss as if it’s the most natural thing he could be doing, the way their lips perfectly slot together, and as they pull eachother closer, they stumble backwards, suddenly falling onto Fukase’s bed. Giggling, they accidentally broke the kiss due to the fall and just stared at eachother for a moment, taking everything in. How lucky they were to be in eachother's lives, the miniscule details of eachother’s faces, and it's taking just about everything for Fukase to not break down sobbing over this and this alone. He loves Len with everything in his soul. There's no one he'd rather see the bad parts of him, when he's a mess, when he's doing well, when he's doing bad, and everything in between. He's so thankful to have this boy and there aren't nearly enough words in the world to describe it.
But his emotions are too strong to keep from overflowing, and underneath Len, he starts crying. Tears of pure happiness stream down his face as he’s smiling and giggling, whispering small ‘I love yous' to his boyfriend, who can't help but tear up as well, and isn’t admitting it but is gently shaking from excitement. There's nowhere else either of them would rather be than in this moment.
If they could, the pair would stay like this for eternity, feeling safe and warm in eachother's embrace, but unfortunately the night won't last forever and Len will have to leave at some point, so Fukase wipes his tears and pulls Len into a kiss, which was quickly reciprocated. It was slow and gentle, but they held onto eachother tightly like the other was going to disappear at any moment, melting into eachother. Fukase had one hand wrapped around Len's waist and one hand on his cheek. If he could, he'd never go home, staying in this moment until the second the sun consumes the Earth.
Fukase breaks the kiss after what feels like forever (yet, not long enough), and pulls Len to lay down in bed with him, pulling the blankets up over them. They don't let the embrace go though, cuddling in as close as they're physically able to, basking in eachother's warmth.
“I hope you die.” Len teases as the two settle into bed, which Fukase quickly reciprocates with an “I hope you burn”. They know neither of them mean it, especially as they say it while being so incredibly happy, but it's also so funny to both of them, it’s kind of a love language at this point.
Fukase starts running his hands through the other boy's hair, which sends a shiver down his spine in the happiest way ever. He loves when Fukase and only Fukase does this, all of this makes him feel vulnerable, but also so unbelievably safe and secure at the same time. The redhead plants a kiss on his forehead and Len just about dies on spot, turning bright red and burying his face into Fukase’s chest to avoid the embarrassment of being seen like that. (Even though Fukase has seen Len in some of his worst moments, he couldn't escape getting teased for things like this, especially when Fukase himself thought it was cute.) He can't see it thankfully, but Fukase is also bright red and giggling and smiling like a crazy person. Maybe they'll be eachother's cause of death.
After they do nothing but stay like that for a while, not feeling a need to move, no worries in their heads and only thinking about eachother in these quiet moments, Fukase is fighting sleep. He knows Len has to go soon and he wants to savor every minute with him, but everything about the situation is too comfortable, and honestly, wants nothing more than to fall asleep in his boyfriend's warmth. Just closing his eyes won't do any harm, right?
Len notices the hand in his hair stops moving, and he hears Fukase's breathing get heavier. He looks up at the other boy, and is immediately shocked by his sleeping face. He never thought someone sleeping of all things could be so beautiful?? In actuality Fukase looked like a hot mess but if you told that to Len he'd look at you like you're both stupid and blind. He couldn't help but just stare for a minute, which became two minutes, and so on and so forth until Fukase woke up to Len tracing all of his features with his eyes, and immediately pushes his hands to cover his boyfriend's eyes out of embarrassment.
“Was that really necessary?” Len giggles.
“Yes!!” Fukase groans back. “I was probably drooling. That’s so embarrassing.”
“And??”
Fukase hits Len with a pillow. “You suck babe.”
Len rolls his eyes jokingly and opens his phone to check the time. Almost 3 A.M…? He could have swore he hadn’t even been there for an hour. Time flies too fast when it’s being spent with Fukase. But… a few minutes couldn’t hurt.. Right? When asked about the time he says that it’s fine and just lays back down, holding Fukase in his arms, kissing all over his face and neck, the redhead giggling.
After who knows how long of giggles and quick kisses, Fukase’s eyes begin to flutter shut and Len can’t bring himself to keep him awake, he knows Fukase needs rest and this gives him the opportunity to study all of his boyfriend’s beautiful features anyways… until he himself feels sleep wash over him and he can’t fight back. He falls asleep in Fukase’s bed, embracing him. He feels like everything is good, and nothing can go wrong.
Until the next morning, Fukase wakes to a knock at his bedroom door, realizing Len is still fast asleep in his bed.
