Chapter Text
(Like before, the series hasn’t actually started yet, but I have the info. This is the first Rimuru series I was personally involved with [to my knowledge, anyway]. Izuku, Momo, Ochako, Hitoshi, Tenko, Eijiro, Rumi, and Fuyumi are all born with the same quirk by the name of Mental Fortitude. This quirk simply makes it so that no outside influences can forcefully change or control their minds. Of course, since all of them wanted to be heroes, this is very upsetting for them. This leads Momo’s parents to use their money to search for others with similar quirks to Momo’s so that she doesn’t feel so alone. To their surprise, after four years of searching, they found the other seven kids with the exact same quirk as their daughter. They approach the parents of the other kids with an offer to pay them in order to have their children be friends with Momo. The parents accept, and they set up a date where they can have their children meet each other. After learning they all have the same quirk, they immediately hit it off, being nearly inseparable. After three years of being friends, all of them at age 11, Momo decides to “borrow” her father’s key to his collection vault where he keeps all his rare artifacts. As they’re exploring the vault, they come upon a set of eight objects that seem to call to them. Izuku touches the Crimson Gem of Cyttorak, Momo the Kestrel Key of Krakkan, Hitoshi the Ivory Idol of Ikonn, Rumi the Fearsome Fist of Farallah, Tenko the Verdant Vial of Valtorr, Fuyumi the Brazier of Balthakk, Eijiro the Ringed Ruby of Raggadorr, and Ochako the Waterfall of Watoomb. These grant them the powers of Juggernaut, Conquest, Bedlam, Carnivore, Decay, Inferno, Stonecutter, and Tempest respectively. In the background of this universe, the eight of them actually had this shared quirk as a result of Dyzakk’s meddling. Tired of the centuries long competition between the Octessence, he decided to interfere by granting the eight of them a shared quirk that would make them immune to the mental tampering exerted by the Octessence. It was also a way for him to prepare the earth for the threat that is Dark Phoenix. AFO is under the control of Dark Phoenix, though he’s not aware of that fact himself. Dark Phoenix even got All Might as one of her pawns by inflaming his hatred of AFO for killing his master. Bakugo is Dark Phoenix’s unwitting spy in UA through a hidden psychic control she placed inside his head. Not even he’s aware of the fact he is her pawn. Two other notable pawns of Dark Phoenix are Overhaul and Re-Destro. Tenko, Fuyumi, and Rumi replace Shoji, Ojiro, and Mineta in class 1-A, with Shoji taking Tenko’s place as the leader of the LOV under AFO. After the events of the training camp, where Bakugo is captured and then subsequently rescued, leading to AFO’s capture and All Mights de powering, this leads to Dark Phoenix finally abandoning her stealthy takeover and deciding to take center stage as the true mastermind, abandoning both All Might and AFO due to the former no longer having his quirk and the latter having failed her one too many times. This also causes her to assert full mental control over all of her pawns, excluding the still unaware Bakugo so he can remain as her mole, granting her the combined forces of the LOV, the Shie Hassaikai, and the Meta Liberation Army. [In addition, I thought up having the team intern with Dr. Strange] )
