Albedo doesn’t get human dating. His new human instincts on top of the original Galvan ones are getting things mixed up. Besides he was never really a social guy.
He eventually settles on taking her out under the guise of wanting to study her abilities. Charmcaster knows that’s not really his intention but she appreciates the effort
She never saw herself dating an alien who looks like the cousin of her once greatest enemy, but he’s a nice change of pace from the other guys she’s dated. He’s a little awkward, definitely egotistical, and has a slight obsession with the word “Ultimate.”
But he’s honest a first for her romantic partners.
They walk around Bellwood just talking in the sights with Albedo having to occasionally explain to Ben’s fans that he’s not actually Ben. At first he’s annoyed but after seeing Charmcaster giggle after the third time he finds he doesn’t really mind it.
They settle down at a park where Albedo says it’s “Time to start his analysis”.
Always one to show off Charmcaster starts doing some basic spells.
He’s fascinated by what she’s able to do, and tells her exactly that. She takes the complement and ups the ante by asking to see HIS powers in action.
Just like her, Albedo’s always ready to show off his Ultimate Aliens.
Now it’s Charmcaster’s turn to be impressed. Sure Ben was able to do it but Albedo really knows how to use them to the best of their abilities.
After not so subtly peacocking each other they decide to grab a bite to eat. Thankfully Burger Shack is close and Albedo hasn’t had his almost daily fix of chili fries.
They sit down and halfway through eating Charmcaster asks Albedo why he likes them so much seeing as he’s scarfing them down like there’s no tomorrow.
Looking a little embarrassed he explains that Galvans don’t put as much effort into food as they do science. So eating something so exotic on top of Ben’s instinctual craving made it his new favorite food.
He says it’s pathetic that these feeble human instincts have gotten the better of him. Charmcaster tells him that if it wasn’t for those human instincts they wouldn’t be sitting across from each other right now.
The realization shocks him a little.
After Albedo pays with some leftover “Ben 10 Live” cash he offers to take her back to her campus apartment.
Once they get back to her place he thanks her for a “Much needed learning experience”. She asks what he means.
He explains that now he knows what to do to be the “Ultimate Boyfriend” and that maybe “This disgusting human body has its perks.”
Charmcaster rolls her eyes before kissing him and thanking him for a nice evening and going inside. But not before telling him her name’s Hope and to not forget it.
Albedo, his face now as red as his Ultimatrix, stammers out that it’s a beautiful name and that they’ll do this again soon. With Hope saying she’d like that with her own blush forming.
On his way back to Ben’s, Albedo thinks that maybe being human’s not such a bad thing to be.
