JJ parked her car outside her home, she hadn’t had time to come home in between cases, and since her ‘promotion’. She was pissed. Barnes is trying to tear her team apart and she hasn’t has a minute to truly talk to anyone about it. She stormed her way to the front door of her house, was it right to take this all out on Will? No, but how she planed to relieve her stress he wasn’t going to mind.
Will heard JJ’s car pull up and looked out the window to see his wife storming up to the front door. He hadn’t heard much from her the past few days but he knew his wife, and could tell something was going on. So he made his way towards the entry way of their home to let her in.
Just as JJ was about to burst through the door it opened to reveal her husband wearing pajama pants and a Saints football shirt. She promptly dropped her bags, and shut the door. Then proceeded to shove her husband against the wall, connecting their lips. Wandering hands felt up Will’s chest. Eventually her hands made it to the base of his shirt, JJ pulled away just long enough to remove his shirt and toss it across the hallway. Just as she was about to reconnect their lips Will took her by the waist and flipped them around so now it was JJ’s back pressed against the wall.
“Well hello to you to mon Cher” Will said breathlessly.
“Hey babe”
“Well as much as I would absolutely love to keep goin’ I have a feeling this has to do about what ever you didn’t want to tell me on the phone the past little while. And you know what the therapist says, we gotta talk about this before we go to bed.”
“Mmm Emily has been forced to the sidelines by Barnes.”
“Do you know what it’s about?”
“Well she told me that it was about ‘a normal review with it being a year since Spencer’s incident’ when she made me acting unit chief”
“Awe JJ I don’t know what to say”
“So this past case I had to ‘lead’ but Barnes came with us and she only got in the way. What really made me get going from the start was how she treated the local police. She was bossing them around like servants, asking them to make her coffee, and being a right jack ass. Then when we had the unsub’s location she went behind our backs and put an innocent women’s life on the line that we already had in protective custody. We had to kill the Unsub after he shot the women. Thankfully she had a vest on and that’s what he aimed for.”
“Oh honey I know-“
“On no I’m not done yet. This BITCH tried to call us out on the jet and I ripped into her. Mama bear came out and she didn’t havnt a chance. We took off late because of it. When we got back to the BAU and she was already reassigning everyone. She’s making Rossi retire, Spence teach, she’s reassigning Emily and Tara and she’s created a new chief position in the BAU and only Luke and Matt are left with me.” JJ kept ranting, the anger she had kept her from crying.
Will pulled her in for a hug just about to say something before he was cut off.
“Will we are a family, we can’t do this with out everyone. Let along with out everyone and with that BITCH hovering over our shoulder and watching our every move. Don’t get me wrong we’ve been watched before but nothing to this extent. I think it’s the end of the BAU, I’m not sure how much more fighting we can do, and if the BAU is done I’m down. Hell I never wanting to even be a profiler, but after Afghanistan it just seemed right and I realized how good I was. I never wanted to be Chief let alone like these circumstances.”
“Cher I’m not sure what to say. Other than that you guys always pull through. And I’ll be right here the whole time.”
“I don’t need you to say anything” was JJ’s reply as she pulled away from the hug and connected their lips together in another passionate kiss. “I just need you to let me have my way with you.”
“Oh is that so?” Will said as he fingered the bottom of her blouse.
“Oh yes, I’m going to have my way with you tonight and you’re gonna like it.”
“I’m sure I will Cher”
“Think you can keep quiet LaMontagne?”
“Only if you make me Jareau”
This happened to be how most nights went while JJ was acting Chief until the team was put back together. Will by all means couldn’t complain but was starting to worry he couldn’t keep up with his wife. When he got the phone call saying Emily was back in charge he was grateful for many reasons.
