Chapter Text

A cute couple strolled down the bustling street, their fingers laced together as if trying to intertwine their very souls. One of them, Taehyung, was animatedly chatting about their latest adventures, his eyes alight with enthusiasm. Jungkook, on the other hand, simply basked in the glow of Taehyung's presence, a soft, affectionate smile playing on his lips.

Jungkook, feeling a playful tug of curiosity, tilted his head and peered up at Taehyung. "Taehyungie, are you even listening to me?" he asked, his voice tinged with a teasing edge.

Taehyung's heart fluttered at the sight of Jungkook's adorable pout. He stopped mid-sentence, his gaze softening as he looked down at his boyfriend. "Of course I am, love," he replied, his voice tender and reassuring.

Jungkook's cheeks flushed a delicate shade of pink, a familiar warmth spreading through him. Despite their four years together, he was still getting used to the endearing nicknames Taehyung showered upon him. Each term of affection never failed to make his heart skip a beat, and he found himself charmed anew each time.

Their relationship had blossomed over the years, becoming a source of deep joy and comfort for both of them. Taehyung's family was fully aware of their bond and welcomed Jungkook with open arms. However, the situation was more complicated on Jungkook's side.

His father remained in the dark about their relationship, a fact that weighed heavily on Jungkook's mind. His father's overprotectiveness had made it incredibly challenging to broach the subject, and gaining his acceptance seemed like an insurmountable task.

As they continued their leisurely walk, Taehyung's eyes sparkled with an excitement that was hard to contain. "You know," he said, squeezing Jungkook's hand gently, "I can't wait for the day we get married. It feels like a dream just thinking about it."

Jungkook's heart fluttered with a mixture of anticipation and affection. His voice was soft but filled with conviction as he responded, "Neither can I, hyungie. Every day with you feels like a step closer to that dream, and I can't wait to make it a reality."

------------

Jungkook woke up brimming with excitement, eager for his Saturday date with Taehyung. After speeding through his morning routine, he dashed downstairs and found his father, Suga, lounging on the couch.

"Morning, Dad," Jungkook said, his voice bright with barely contained excitement as he hurried into the kitchen.

Suga, who was sipping his coffee while reading the newspaper, looked up with a hint of curiosity. "Morning, son. You're unusually rushed this morning. What's the hurry?"

Jungkook faltered, momentarily at a loss for words as he tried to think of a plausible excuse. Before he could come up with something, his younger brother Yeonjun burst into the room, clearly in a hurry.

"Hyung, come on! We're going to be late for our shopping trip if you don't hurry up!" Yeonjun called out, glancing impatiently at Jungkook.

Suga's interest was immediately piqued, and he looked between the two brothers with a raised eyebrow. "Shopping? What's this about?"

Jungkook quickly seized the opportunity to provide an explanation. "Oh, right, Dad. Yeonjun needs to get a costume for some event he's participating in, so I'm just helping him out," he said, hoping his casual tone would make the excuse more believable.

Suga nodded, accepting the explanation with a nod. "Okay, I understand. Just be careful out there, and don't forget to check in if you're running late."

"Will do, Dad," Jungkook said, feeling a wave of relief wash over him.

With that, Jungkook and Yeonjun exchanged a quick glance of shared understanding and made their way to the door. Once they were outside, Jungkook turned to his brother, his earlier excitement returning. "So, where are we heading first? What's on the shopping agenda?"

Yeonjun flashed him a grin. "We've got a few stops planned. First, we're going to that costume store downtown. I heard they've got some new arrivals that might be perfect for what I need."

Jungkook nodded, his curiosity piqued. "Sounds like a plan. Let's make sure we get everything done quickly so we don't run out of time. I've got something I'm really looking forward to today."

Yeonjun chuckled and gave Jungkook a knowing look. "Oh, I'm sure you do. Just remember, don't let your excitement get the best of you. We've got a mission to complete."

As they walked down the street, the morning sun casting a warm glow around them, Jungkook felt a renewed sense of anticipation for the day ahead. Despite the little white lie he'd told his father, he couldn't shake the thrill of knowing he would soon be with Taehyung, ready to enjoy their time together.

Jungkook turned to Yeonjun, a curious glint in his eyes. "So, where are you headed now?"

Yeonjun shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm meeting up with Soobin. We've got some plans."

"Got it," Jungkook said with a smile. "Enjoy yourself, and I'll see you later."

They exchanged quick goodbyes before going their separate ways. Jungkook's excitement surged as he walked towards the street where he had spotted Taehyung's car. Spotting the familiar vehicle, he hurried over and slid into the passenger seat.

Taehyung greeted him with a warm smile. "Hey, love. Ready for our day out?"

Jungkook beamed back at him. "Absolutely! Let's make the most of it."

The day was filled with laughter and joy as they enjoyed their date. They ended up at the park, where they bumped into a few friends. The group strolled together, chatting and enjoying the sunny afternoon.

However, amid the cheerful atmosphere, someone watched them from a distance with an intense, unsettling gaze. The figure, cloaked in shadow, approached the group with a determined stride. As they neared, their eyes locked onto Taehyung with a dark, menacing intensity.

Jungkook noticed the figure's approach and his heart skipped a beat. His voice trembled as he whispered, "A-a-appa..."

The word "appa" hung in the air, causing the figure to freeze. Taehyung, noticing the sudden change in Jungkook's demeanour, looked over with concern. Jungkook's father, known for his possessive nature and stern demeanour, was indeed the last person Taehyung had expected to see here. The tension in the air was palpable as the father's glare bore into Taehyung, making him swallow nervously.

Jungkook stepped in front of Taehyung, trying to defuse the situation. "Dad, I didn't expect you here. What's going on?"

Suga's eyes remained fixed on Taehyung, his voice low and stern. "Jungkook, we need to talk. Now."

The cheerful atmosphere of their outing shifted to one of apprehension as the confrontation unfolded, leaving everyone on edge.
