Work Text:
Ash twirled a lock of Jenny's hair around his finger. The sheet had slid down, leaving her bare upper back exposed. Her steady, gentle breath tickled the hair on his chest, heated his skin as she slept on.
She was beautiful like this. Alive. Warm.
She made him want to pretend. It was... fun to pretend. To take her on dates and out to dinner and act like he was normal. If, later, he tracked down that annoying bastard who almost ruined tonight's date by drinking too much and laughing too loud in order to rip the man's tongue from his mouth, well, every performance had to end at some point.
Ash breathed deeply, trying to calm the race of his heart, the simmering blood lust that never went away anymore.
He turned his head on the pillow, catching his faint reflection in the glass of a picture frame. Lifting a hand from Jenny's back, he flipped it off. Goreface could go fuck off for the next few hours. He'd give him the violence he craved later.
For now, he just wanted to be Ash Williams, housewares employee.
