Aloy returned to the Base after her mission on the Burning Shores and she headed to GAIA to report her and tell her about her meeting with Seyka. She wanted to tell Gaia first, because she was easier to talk to, than Beta or Alva or in that case any other human being.
“Greetings Aloy. How was your journey?” – The AI welcomed her in her usual way.
“It was good, but you already know everything about the mission and Londra. And I know we have to discuss it, and we will, but before that I would like to talk to you about something more personal” – Aloy replied.
“Alright, is it about your companion during this mission? What was her name, Seyka?" – GAIA asked and only the mentioning of Seyka made Aloy smile.
“Well, yes. You know I’m not good with talking about my feelings, but I need some advice and I think it’s easier to talk to you first about it.” – Aloy said shyly.
“I’m happy that you trust me Aloy, just like Elisabet did, but eventually you have to talk to other humans as well. But knowing your upbringing I think it is normal that you want to talk to me first, but don’t forget you have a sister and friends who love you and willing to help you in any matters.” – GAIA pointed out.
“Yes I know and I will talk to them to, at least to Beta, I’m promise.”
“Ok then, tell me about this girl, Seyka.”
Aloy hesitated a little then she began to talk. “Well I’m never felt like this before, I mean I liked other people before but not this way, it’s just a few days since we went our separeted ways and I already missing her. You know I don’t know a lot about relationships and even less being in a relationship with another girl. I really enjoyed to working with her, she is a good fighter and she was easy to talk to and she is very beautiful. But the best part is that she eventually found out that I saved a world a few times, but she still see me as Aloy and not as the Savior or other thing others call me, which is nice. But I’m afraid where will this end. And when we said goodbye she kissed me, and it was good and I’m just missing her.” Aloy finished her short description of Seyka.
“She seems to be a decent woman. What is it exactly you’re afraid of?” – GAIA asked calmly, she had similar conservations whit Elisabet in the beginning her relationship with Tilda. She knew Aloy just needs the right questions to see through her feelings and to make the right decisions.
“I’m afraid what if I never see her again? What if she decides to go back home, I really like her so that would be very sad. In the meanwhile, I afraid what if I see her again? Will she still feel the same? What if she wants more than kissing, what will I do? And my biggest fear about this is, that I know if we meet again and she will still feel the same, then I have to tell her more about myself and who I’m and I’m afraid if she knows this much about me, she will change her mind.” – Aloy listed fast her insecurities.
GAIA smiled a little at Aloy, she was just like Elisabet, she was very definite most of the times, but when it comes to love she was very insecure.
“Knowing you Aloy if you want to meet her again you will menage it, there is no barrier that can hold you back if you make up your mind to do something not even the ocean, you know this as well. For your second question, everybody has their first time, it’s normal to be nervous about it, and if it comes to it it’s also normal to take it slow or ask for more time. And for your third question, your friends also know about your past and they are still beside you, so if Seyka really likes you she will stay, maybe she will be surprised even a little bit shocked after you tell her everything, but don’t forget your friend were also shocked. Just be patient with her when you tell her these things, give her time to process the information.”
“Ok, thank you GAIA, I think telling you really helped, but I need to think this trough a little more.” – Aloy answered, she was a little more confident, but she needed time to properly think trough how to proceed further with her feelings.
“I’m glad it helped. Go get some rest. We will talk about the other thinks tomorrow.” – GAIA dismissed her and Aloy walked away to her room to get some well-deserved sleep.
