Ellie entered the Cafeteria alongside Henry. Music was pretty loud, lights shining everywhere and everyone was there, including Elites, High Rankings and other members of the Toppat clan. They all seemed to have a good time, smoking, drinking, doing drugs and other kinds of stuff. Ellie had a long pink dress that matched her top hat, while Henry had a black suit matching his top hat with Reginald's necklace on it.
They both walked in together, holding hands, smiling to everyone who passed them. They talked for a bit and eventually ended up splitting up into their own friend groups.
Ellie was standing in the middle of Cafeteria with Carol, Earrings and Reginald, they were smoking, dancing, drinking, doing drugs, having a good time.
Ellie wasn't exactly fond of loud parties, so she went away from them. She found herself in front of the big window of the Cafeteria, looking at Earth. The view was stunning. She was lightly smiling, she felt somewhat relieved.
She was holding an empty glass of Champagne that she drank and didn't even notice.
"Hello" a strange voice behind her said. She was taken aback and quickly turned around to find Right Hand Man. One of the most respected Toppat members, he was wearing a black tuxedo, his muscular body outlining it.
"hello, you're Right Hand Man, right?" she asked, she heard someone call him that but she wasn't sure
"yeah, and you must be Ellie Rose" he said, Ellie couldn't help but look at him from head to toe.
"oh yeah, and that comment I made back when we were about to launch wasn't meant to be insulting or anything, I just was kind of surprised to see a cyborg, that's all" She said, trying to apologize for saying 'woah what happened to that guy' Back on Earth
"oh yeah, it's nothing" he said
"You actually look good as cyborg" she continued, she didn't want bad first impressions, considering she was still new to the clan
"thanks, you look good too. Also want me to get us drinks" he asked, he was happy that she thought he looked good
"that would be nice" she said and he went to get them drinks
He left and she was left alone, she was looking at his direction, waiting for him to be back
Eventually he was back with the drinks
"thanks" Ellie said as she took her glass of Champagne
"why aren't you with Carol and others?" he asked
"I don't really like loud parties all that much" she replied, taking a sip from her glass
"me neither honestly" he said
They continued talking for a while, she really enjoyed his company, it was nice
"want to go somewhere quieter?" he asked
"sure, the music's too loud anyways" she replied
They left the Cafeteria and were walking through the hallways and continued talking
The hallways were barely lit up, the music heard from the hallways was a lot quieter and it was nicer to talk
"Also if I may ask how did you become a cyborg" she asked
"I don't like talking about it.." he said, he was quieter than usual, looking away from her
"sorry for asking.. I didn't know, I didn't mea-" She started apologizing but was cut off mid sentence
"No it's okay, I know" he said
she felt bad for him so she put her hand on his shoulder, but thought it was too weird and quickly took it off. Right Hand Man didn't say anything, they continued walking for a bit.
"I'm actually pretty tired, so cya 'round" He said
"Good Night, cya around" Ellie said
"good night, Ellie, it was nice meeting you" he said before he left
she was left alone in the hallways, and since she was also tired, she decided to go to her room
Entered her room, took off her dress and put on something more comfortable. She put her top hat on the night stand and laid on the bed.
She was looking at the ceiling, thinking she might've made a bad impression, she felt bad for him. However, It didn't take long for her to fall asleep.
The next day there wasn't any work since everyone was hungover as fuck from last night. Including Ellie, so she didn't get out of her bed until around 11 am.
She got out of her room, fully dressed and ready for the day, still hungover, not thinking about what happened last night
She entered Cafeteria, where Toppats would normally meet up in the morning, to get coffee, breakfast and chat with their fellow members.
She found Reginald, Carol and Earrings sitting at the table so she sat with them
They talked for a bit, until they were interrupted by Henry
"hi there Henry" Ellie said, moving a bit away, making space for Henry to sit with them
"I thought this is the perfect opportunity to announce that I am dating Earrings" Reginald said proudly, Earrings didn't say anything, she just smiled
"nice, congratulations, I'm happy for you" Ellie said
"I know" Reginald said, wrapping his arm around Earrings
They continued talking until they were all done with their coffees and breakfast
Days pass, nothing interesting happens. Ellie and Right Hand Man talked on multiple occasions but nothing special.
There is a mission scheduled for today, so Ellie is getting ready for it, getting her gun that had roses on it. She put her top hat on and left her room, she was heading to the escape pod
She entered their escape pod, Henry, Right Hand Man and Carol were already in the pod, after her Reginald walked in.
It was a bank robbery, the bank contained some valuable assets and of course money, and they were after it.
They all walked into the bank, pulling out their guns and pointing them to the workers and people who were in the bank.
"give me all the money you have" Carol said loudly, pointing the gun at the bank worker
The bank worker was an older woman, she was near retirement and didn't really care about the job, so she just handed all the money she had in the register
"the safe" Carol said, as she said that Government soldiers rushed into the building
"Surrender now!" A Government Soldier spoke, few soldiers rushing in after him
So many gunshots fired, from both sides, people falling to the ground
Carol was the first to fall, she got shot in the shoulder
"don't worry about me, get the valuables and we bail" she yelled out, holding her wound to try to stop the bleeding
As Henry was leaving the bank he saw a familiar helicopter, it was Charles
"Hey Henry, wait are you a Toppat?" Charles said, with a visible sadness on his face
Despite Henry being a Toppat, he still felt bad for betraying Charles. He couldn't bring himself to say anything to Charles.
In the meantime, Right Hand Man and Ellie worked together to defeat Government, they made a good team, and eventually Government had to abort the mission.
"Henry, you get Carol, we will wait for you" Right Hand Man yelled at Henry who was still looking at Charles
Henry quickly rushed in and got Carol and they left together
Reginald was waiting for them in the Pod, so they would be able to escape as quickly as possible, and they did.
"I'd count this as a successful mission, look at all the stuff we managed to get" Carol said, smiling, despite being injured, showing what they collected, the diamonds, gold, money, jewelry, etc.
"what's the deal with the helicopter pilot, Henry?" Ellie asked him, she noticed how he was looking at him
"oh it's nothing, I was supposed to help them on a mission but I ended up joining the Toppats" Henry replied, still a bit saddened
"it's okay, Henry, you have people who care about you here" Ellie said, comforting Henry, putting her arm around him. Right Hand Man just glanced at the sight of that but quickly looked away
Later she turned to Right Hand Man
"we make a great team" she said
"yes, we do" Right Hand Man said
--Next Morning--
Ellie entered Cafeteria, there were some Toppats chatting, drinking their morning coffees and eating, it was decently lit up, everyone was having fun, enjoying their morning
"Hey Carol, how's it going?" Ellie asked, as she sat with Carol
"oh nothing much, what about you?" Carol said, smoking weed, taking a sip of her coffee
"Nothing really, by the way, do we have any missions planned?" Ellie asked
"nope, were free for the day" Carol said
Carol started talking about some mission-related things. Right Hand Man, Reginald, Kabbitz and few others were at another table. Right Hand Man caught Ellie's eyes so she was staring at him, however he didn't notice her looking.
"Ellie? Are you listening?" Carol asked Ellie, who just realized what she was doing
"oh fuck sorry yeah" Ellie said turning around to Carol
"so what do you think?" Carol asked her, knowing Ellie wasn't listening
"That's a good idea!" Ellie said, not having a single clue what she was talking about
"you weren't listening, were you?" Carol asked, slightly annoyed by her
"sorry I zoned out" Ellie said
"and looking at Right Hand Man, I noticed you" Carol said, with a slight smug face
"was I? Was it that obvious?" Ellie said
"yeah, is there something between you two?" Carol asked
"of course not!" Ellie said, getting defensive
"..okay" Carol said
"So can we continue" Carol added after few moments of silence between them
"yeah we can"
They continued talking for some time, until Ellie remembered she had some paperwork to fill out and give to Henry. Later she went to her office to fill out her paperwork, it was something about her membership and her rank of the Right Hand Lady.
She was done with the paperwork, and she went to hand it to Henry
She knocked and then entered Henry's office
"I got the papers filled out" Ellie said, giving the papers to Henry
"thank you, is that all?" Henry asked
"yeah, by the way, wanna go out later today, I am free and I was thinking we could get drinks" Ellie asked
"sure, I'd love that" Henry replied
--Few hours pass--
"Hi Ellie" Henry said, visibly smiling, he was already sitting at the table in the Toppat Bar (yes Toppats have their own Bar)
"Hi Henry" Ellie said as she sat next to him
"what would you like to order?" the bartender asked
"red wine for me" Henry said
"yeah same" Ellie asked
"one bottle of red wine coming right up" bartender said politely and went away
"I've missed this" Henry said, they haven't been out in a while, they became good friends.
"yeah same" Ellie said
Ellie noticed Right Hand Man near the counter, and would occasionally glance at him
"what's up?" Henry asked, noticing what she is doing, and looking in that direction
"well I was just waiting for the waiter to get us drinks, yeah" she said, trying to hide what she was actually doing
"okay, so what have you been up to?" Henry asked
"nothing much, you?" Ellie said
"me neither, just your typical leader stuff" Henry said, proud of himself
Bartender came, handed them their drinks and went his way
"also what's up with that helicopter pilot" Ellie asked, noticing how Henry looked at him back during the mission
"He was there when I was sent to take down the Toppat clan, but instead I ended up joining, I feel like I betrayed them" Henry said
"I mean, you didn't willingly accept to work for them, but I can see why you care for him, despite him being our enemy, he did seem like a genuinely nice guy" Ellie said
"yeah, maybe you're right" he said, sighing
"Also what's up with you and Right Hand Man, I noticed how y'all looked at each other back on Earth" Ellie asked
"I don't have a clue" He said, knowing damn well what was the reason, but he didn't want to explain what happened
"ah okay, It just seemed like there was something" Ellie said
"I don't know, maybe it has something to do with me taking Reginald's leadership" Henry said
They continued talking for quite some time before going into their respective rooms.
