Summary
Amber can most certainly take care of herself. She likes the help when she needs it, but what she hates more than anything else is feeling sorry for herself.
During an already incredibly stressful day, on the brink of a breakdown, someone storms up to her, making an already bad day, much, much worse. She can't forgive him for making her feel as vulnerable as she did.
Months later, Amber has finally been able to reopen herself to the rest of the staff. Well, all but one.
She still won't shake her grudge, despite her previous notions about him being tested every day.
Soon, she has to face that she and everyone around them might have been severely misunderstanding the brash man, that he has a much bigger story behind him than he's ever let on. And she might have to come to terms that her feelings may have evolved out of her control.
