Months ago before the disapperances
"You're dismissed" The doctor said, even if he was the boss of the Port Mafia,Mori was swaying his hand in the air in a dismissing motion as he was dismissing the young girl who had finished a deed he had asked to be done. The young brunette stared up at him with an expression of annoyance, this was definetly not what she was hoping for "Where's my reward'' She said in a snapping tone, she was tired and exhausted from her ability, so she was expecting an reward of some sorts. ''Do you want money?'' The boss asked as he reached toward's his desk drawer as he opened it, taking out an lethered item while Emi shook her head '''I don't need your money, something nice for once would be delightful, atleast even if it's small'' The tired woman said as she was staring at the now empty chair with her arms crossed ''Huh? Where did you-''The girl spoke before she froze was she cut off "Something nice? Do I need to remind you, that you don't deserve anything nice after you set my office on fire? ''Mori asked his calm tone going sharp with annoyance. That caused the girl to snicker as she was about to respond with a snarky respond before she felt something being placed on her neck and a soft sound of a click. The girl's eyes went wide with fear as her hands were quick to reach up to whatever was put on her ''Hey-''Her words were cut short as she felt a tug, seemingly whatever was on her was attached to what Mori was holding. With a sickening smile the mafia boss tugged again, that said item was a leash and she had a collar attached on her neck which would explain the previous noise.
As she was pulled closer to the man, the doctor then proceede to lift her chin up with a bit of force,so she would look at him in the eyes, no matter how uncomfortable it was ''I wonder what the rabid dog's 'puppy' will do to me~?''He chanted as he taunted the girl's position, however, his taunts soon stopped as he tugged the leash closer to him, gripping the girl's cheeks now with a lot of force '' Are you trying to kill me?'' He whispered into her ear as the girl glared at him with hate and annoyance ''Remember, Akutagawa-kun may be your superior who you can go and whine or even complain to Chuuya-kun, but i'm someone who you swore your loyalty to and respect, I would kill you, but you're too useful" He whispered as the girl closed her eyes and gritted her teeth in anger, but she knew he was right, she only joined..just to get closer to a mysterious boy she encountered at the guild's ship..which was her now time superior ''Now let's start, shall we?"He grinned, pulling the leash a bit closer to him, while summoning his wife.
Few days later after the encounter with Mori
The younh 18 year old had her hair in a low pony tail as she walked through the halls of someone familiar.. approaching a familiar residence, with a gentle knock, she entered a office and immediately as soon as she opened the door, a familiar voice responded full of hope''Ranpo-kun!?'' The Master architect's voice rang out as he shot his head up to look over at the door only to discover that it was his ex-teammate.
''Sorry to dissapoint you Poe, but i'm not the boy you fanboy over'' She said in a calm tone as Poe stared at her ''He's my rival!'' Poe corrected her as he let out a small sigh ''But, it's nice seeing you, Miss Manneky'' He said as he gestured his hand to a chair as an offer for her to sit down. Which she responded with a nod and walked over to the chair and sat down '' It's not usual for you to visit me,not that I mind'' Poe said as Karl sat on his shoulder while Poe spoked, the raccoon staring at the girl with quite suspicion.''Well, I came to ask for a request'' The girl said ''A request?'' Poe said quite suprised from the girl's straightforwardness ''What type of request?'' He asked, as he put his quil down and looked at the girl with a curios gaze ''Is it from Ranpo?''He asked, raising an brow, what wasn't even seen due to his hair covering his face eyes, anyway''I fear not'' She said as she placed her elbows on the table and smiled, but her smile was filled with maliciouses and sinister intensions ''I want to use your ability on the Port mafia's boss'' She smiled staring at Poe wiht that sinister smile.
Poe's eyes went wide with shock and disbelief, when he heard this information, he stared at Miss Manneky in shock as silence filled the room''You must be joking,right?'' he asked as he cleaed his throat looking at the girl, who scrunchd her nose with annoaynce,this wasn't the answer she was looking for nor was wanting ''Is that a yes or no?'' She asked impatiently ''Of course not! Are you insane?!''Poe asked as Miss Manneky huffed, staring at Poe in annoyance as she slowly got up from her seat ''Fine''She said her tone laced with annoyance ''As you wish'' a dark glint appeared in her eyes as she looked at him ''Shadow hands'' She whispered as shadowy hands formed around her shoulders.
''Now, you have two options, either do my request or be under my control'' Miss Manneky said,two simple options.She averted her gaze back to the novelist writer who was reaching towards for his book ''And don't even try that,I know your old mystery riddles, you're working on a new one for Ranpo''She said smiling as she looked at him ''So? What will it be?''She asked in a playful manner,pushing the book out of his reach. Poe didn't say anything, he was thinking of a different approach as he had to,try distracting the girl while Karl could get his book '' Why are you so interested in capturing the Mafia's boss? ''He asked ''Let's just say, personal business and a lot of hatred "She said ''Anymore useless questions?''The girl asked, she was ready to use her ability and get what she wanted ''Last question'' Poe said as he saw Karl bringing the book back ''What?'' She asked harshly than previously ''I hope you can solve the newest riddles!'' Poe exclaimed, grabbing his book.
